I just listened to a fantastic segment on Episode 185 of Jim Cornette's Drive Thru regarding SMW's business and why they closed. He gives a lot of history of why they couldn't succeed financially in comparison to ECW. Great details about the end of the promotion, but also about the start of SMW.
Go to 48:22 on episode 185, it's a little over an hour, or listen to the whole show!
Highly recommended!

Luckily they usually cut the stuff up on YouTube and I listen to those. Looking forward to listening to that.

Yeah, Trav's work is great as I try and guess how the artwork fits what I'm about to hear.

Cornette had a funny line today. "Brock lesnar hates people and so the two people he's chosen to hang out with are Paul Heyman and Sable."

Most on here know I'm not a fan of todays wrestling, so its fun to hear Corny ragging on it, but in all honesty, I'd rather hear him talking old wrestling for 3 hours. I love his breakdowns for eras.
