The WWF runs concurrent to my "NWA Championship Wrestling". Think of it as the same shared universe for all of you comic book movie fans. There aren't any tournaments or exposition to start here. Just imagine you turned on the TV one day and found the action already in progress. It'll be real easy to catch up. Superstars Of Wrestling Hosts Vince McMahon and Jesse The Body Ventura welcome you to the show and run down the action scheduled to take place, including the feature match for the Intercontinental championship when Mr Perfect puts the title on the line against the Birdman, Koko B Ware. Vince:"Will Koko prove that nobody is perfect tonight or will Mr Perfect continue his winning ways?" Jesse:"The Birdman's goose is cooked tonight as far as I'm concerned. When Perfect is done with him Koko's own family will fly the coop out of embarrassment." Iron Sheik pinned George The Animal Steele with a roll-up on the corner (and feet on the ropes. Vince:"Total miscarriage of justice there. Steele was on the verge of winning up to that point." Jesse:"Boo hoo, McMahon. Sheik put the Animal on a short leash and put him out of our misery." The Killer Bees defeated The Shadow and Pete Doherty when Blair put away Doherty with the sleeper as Brunzell dropkicked Shadow to keep him from breaking it up. Jesse:"The Bees pick up an easy win and they didn't even have to cheat and use the masks this time." Piper's Pit with The Dream Team and Johnny VAfter Roddy's monologue and requisite threats to WWF champion Hulk Hogan*, he welcomed his guests. Johnny V said he was thrilled to get Brutus back in the fold and his ecstasy will be the British Bulldogs agony because you're looking at the next world tag team champions. Greg told Roddy he knows full and well what the Hammer is willing to do in the ring to get what he wants and he questions if the Bulldogs will be able to take it to the extremes. Brutus concluded the brag session by warning that the British Bulldogs may find out sooner rather than later that they're outclassed and obsolete because the Dream Team is the present and the future of tag team wrestling in the WWF. Ted DiBiase (w/Virgil) beat Jim Powers with a vertical suplex. *During the match pretaped comments from DiBiase played in the corner box. Ted said he had a big announcement coming because he has bought the contract of the biggest free agent in wrestling and he's coming to the WWF to be the first of his underlings in the Million Dollar Empire. Vince:"Big words from Mr DiBiase, but Powers nearly made him eat them and if Virgil wasn't at ringside you have to wonder if the outcome would have been different." Jesse:"Ted may have over looked Powers a little, but can you blame him? He's got big things on the horizon and in the end all the record books say is that it's another win for the Million Dollar Man." The British Bulldogs got a hard fought win over The Quebecers when Davey pinned Jacques with a fisherman's suplex. After the bell the Bulldogs were celebrating the win when they were attacked from behind by the Dream Team. Brutus and Greg grabbed the tag team belts and bashed them over the heads of the Bulldogs. They then left with the title belts still in hand as Johnny V declared his team the rightful titleholders. Vince:"What a cowardly act by Johnny V's Dream Team. I would suggest that stealing the belts may be as close as they ever come to holding the titles." Jesse:"That's called taking initiative, Mcmahon. Now they have the belts and all that's left is to make it official by pinning the Bulldogs shoulders to the mat." Vince:"Easier said than done, Jesse. " Featured bout!Mr Perfect (w/Bobby Heenan) defeated Koko B Ware via Perfect Plex to defend the Intercontinental title.
Vince:"Koko gave it his all and came so close to winning, but Perfect continues his flawless ways here in the World Wrestling Federation." Jesse:"Close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades, McMahon." Lord Alfred Hayes:"Promotional consideration paid for by the following."
Vince:"And that's it for another exciting episode of Superstars Of Wrestling. We hope the fans will join us next week when we'll see the likes of Hacksaw Jim Duggan, The Dream Team, and Hillbilly Jim all in action. In addition, an update on Andre The Giant after his injury at the hands of King Kong Bundy, and a special Piper's Pit with the world heavyweight champion, Hulk Hogan!"

Wrestling Challenge Gorilla Monsoon:"Welcome fans, to another exciting week of World Wrestling Federation action as only Wrestling Challenge can provide." Bobby Heenan:"Of course it's an exciting week Monsoon, because we'll be seeing not only my man Ravishing Rick Rude in action but also a special interview with the man who ended the career of Andre The Giant, the one and only, King Kong Bundy." Cowboy Bob Orton defeated Leaping Lanny Poffo with ease via superplex. Gorilla:"The Ace showing why Roddy Piper keeps him in the background, as the bodyguard extrordinaire picks up an impressive win." Heenan:"I can't decide if Leaping Lanny is a worse at poetry or wrestling." Mr USA Tony Atlas defeated Barry Horowitz* with a press slam and splash. Gorilla:"Horowitz is no slouch and had some nice offense early, but clearly no match for the strength and agility of Mr USA. And the Brain has abandoned the broadcast booth so he can accompany his protege Rick Rude to ringside, so let's go back down to the ring for the action." Mr USA took his time leaving the ring, posing for fans and giving last minute advice to his friend SD Jones as he prepared to meet the Ravishing one. As Bobby Heenan led Rick to the ring Atlas was just making his way to the back. Rude and Atlas bumped into each other and words were exchanged. Atlas balled his fists and it looked like things were about to get physical until WWF officials ran out to separate the two. Ravishing Rick Rude defeated SD Jones with the Rude Awakening. Gorilla:"Boy, things nearly reached the boiling point between Rude and Atlas and I'd hate to be the one to step between them when and if those two ever step in the ring together." Heenan (winded as he races back to the broadcast booth):"Did you see that, Monsoon? That idiot Atlas is too stupid to find his way back to the locker room without a guide and a map and he's lucky WWF officials were there to save him from Rude. But his luck won't last forever because Rude is angry." Gorilla:"We'll be keeping a close eye on this developing situation in the days and weeks ahead for sure." In the event center with Ken Resnick, Killer Ken ran down the action to be seen at upcoming live events and showed pretaped comments from Hacksaw Duggan, The Dream Team, and finished with newcomers to the WWF, The Bolsheviks. Nikolai said they come to the WWF to face the very best and they will not stop until they are tag team champions. Boris said they have their eyes on Hacksaw Duggan (NWA fans will remember their feud late last year) and all of the soft Americans, but the Bulldogs are the champions right now and that puts a target on them first. Back in the arena, Mean Gene Okerlund called out King Kong Bundy for a special live interview. Mean Gene recounted the brutal attack by Bundy that left Andre The Giant with severe internal injuries. Bundy bragged and declared himself the unstoppable force in the WWF. He said he ended Andre's career and next is Hulk Hogan and the WWF title. Gene stopped him right there and said Andre may not be done just yet and there's a big update coming next week. Bundy was incredulous and said Andre is bluffing. King Kong then declared the interview over and walked away as angry and annoyed as always. Magnificent Muraco defeated Hillbilly Jim with the Hawaiian Hammer. Gorilla:"Hillbilly gave it his all out there, but the underhanded tactics of the Magnificent one stole a win again." Heenan:"The big dumb hick from Mudlick got what he deserved." Gorilla:"Next week we'll see the debut of The Bolsheviks, Mr Perfect will be here, and a special interview with the Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase." *Barry Horowitz card found here: www.angelfire.com/wrestling3/legendarystars/undercard.htmlWith the "enhancement talent" mechanic added, meaning the opponent's finisher leads to an automatic pin.

I've toyed with a Bulldogs/Quebecers feud at some point so nice to see them in action. Always enjoy a nice Barry Horowitz appearance.

Superstars Of WrestlingVince McMahon and Jesse The Body welcome the fans to another edition of Superstars of Wrestling with a rundown of the schedule for the show, focusing on the special Piper's Pit with the champ, Hulk Hogan Jesse: "Hogan had better have his head on a swivel McMahon, because the way he's been ducking challengers it could get real interesting in the Pit." McMahon: "On the contrary, the Hulkster has taken on and beaten everyone put in his path thus far in the World Wrestling Federation. Nevertheless, you are correct because you never know what will happen when Mr Piper and his bodyguard the Ace are around."
Hacksaw Jim Duggan defeated Brooklyn Brawler with the flying spear. McMahon: "HACKSAW JIM DUGGAN wasting no time in dispensing with the Brawler today, Jesse." Ventura: "Brawler tried to get the early start before the bell, but I don't think even he was ready for the smell emanating from Duggan. I think that mangy hair of his knocked out Brawler before he could even get going." UPDATE, with Mean Gene Okerlund: Gene recapped the situation with King Kong Bundy attacking Andre the Giant from behind several weeks ago and leaving him laying after a series of Avalanches. Andre had to be carried out on a stretcher and his career was in jeopardy. But just this past week Andre sent word to the WWF that he was ready to make a major announcement about his future. Gene cuts to a pre-recorded video of Andre at home on his ranch. Andre said he has taken the time to reflect and relax and he has enjoyed his time at home after many years traveling all over the world. He could get used to this. But he will not let his career end that way at the hands of King Kong Bundy and he will return. Andre challenged Bundy to come face him at Wrestlemania. The Dream Team (w/JOhnny V) defeated Jake Milliman and George South with a Greg figure four on Jake.Ventura: "Impressive win by the champions." McMahon: "I beg your pardon, but the Dream Team may have entered the ring with those stolen tag team title belts, but the Bulldogs are the rightful champions and it's only a matter of time before this situation gets settled in the ring." In pre-recorded backstage comments, Ted DiBiase stood with his bodyguard Virgil and promised next week he will make an announcement that will shock the wrestling world. He says once again that the biggest free agent is coming to the WWF to be the first acquisition as he builds a Million Dollar Empire. Ted stated that money talks and his men will follow orders and pave the way for the Million Dollar Man to take his rightful place as World Wrestling Federation champion. Jim Powers defeated Pretty Boy Larry Sharpe via power slam.McMahon: "Jim Powers picking up the win this week on Superstars after his impressive showing last week." Ventura: "Larry Sharpe is a veteran, but Powers will need to beat somebody higher up the ladder before he impresses me." Piper's Pit with WWF champion Hulk HoganPiper introduced the champion and said he's beaten some impressive challengers since winning the WWF championship. He's faced big men, fast men, mat technicians, all kinds of great wrestlers....but he hasn't beaten Roddy Piper. Hogan wasted no time saying all Piper needs to do is shut his mouth, earn his title shot like everybody else, and then they can find out who the better man is in the ring. Piper got heated and asked how HOgan figures he hasn't earned a shot. Roddy said there's only one other man in the WWF right now who can say he hasn't been pinned clean in the middle of the ring and that's Roddy Piper. Hogan said that's because Roddy has been running his mouth in the Pit more than he's been wrestling all year. Ace Orton heard enough and attacked Hogan from behind on cue from Piper. The two put the boots to the champ, before Hogan "Hulked up" and grabbed the stool Piper had been sitting on. Piper and Orton took off and Hogan grabbed the mic. He said if the two want to play that game they can do it face to face. He said he wants Ace Orton first next week and then he's coming after Piper. Hillbilly Jim beat Unpredictable Johnny Rodz with a bear hug.
Ventura: "Rodz gave the big man all he could handle this week and if it weren't for the massive strength advantage we could have seen a major upset." McMahon: "A win's a win nonetheless and the big man shows once again it's a bad idea to go messin with a country boy." Iron Sheik defeated SD Jones with the Camel Clutch.McMahon: "The bell has rung but Sheik refuses to release the hold. Come on ref, get in there or SD Jones may suffer permanent damage!" Ventura: "Wait a minute, here comes Hacksaw Duggan down the aisle with that 2x4." McMahon: "And Hacksaw with the 2x4 across the back of the Sheik. That will get him to release the hold, Jesse. Sheik is heading for higher ground as Hacksaw stands proud and leads the chants of 'USA'!" Lord Alfred Hayes: Promotional consideration paid for by the following:"
McMahon: "We have just been informed that the match the Hulkster requested WILL happen, so be sure to check back with us next week fans as THE HULKSTER HUUUULK HOGAN will face the Ace Cowboy Bob Orton one on one right here on Superstars of Wrestling." Ventura: "Piper and Orton set up the champ like a chump and I guarantee they aren't out of surprises yet." McMahon: "You'd better believe the one and only Hulkster is ready for anything and everything. That's all for this week fans, so long until next week!" * Brooklyn Brawler card found here (once again with the "enhancement talent" revision where the successful use of a finisher against him results in an automatic pin): www.angelfire.com/wrestling3/legendarystars/undercard.html

Good old Noid. Fun to see Lombardi wrestling and always enjoy a good Hillbilly Jim even if Rodz was the victim.

WRESTLING CHALLENGEGorilla Monsoon: "Welcome fans to another exciting hour of Wrestling Challenge. This week we'll finally get to the bottom of what Ted DiBiase has in store for the World Wrestling Federation as Mean Gene aims to pin him down on exactly what he has been talking about the past few weeks." Bobby Heenan: "And of course I have the inside scoop and let me tell you, it's gonna blow the lid off the WWF." Gorilla: "Do tell, Brain." Heenan: "Oh you wish, Monsoon. Watch and learn. But first, I've got to head to the ring to be with MY man, Ravishing Rick Rude." Gorilla: "High tail it out of here, Weasal. Let's go to the ring for our opening contest."
Ravishing Rick Rude defeated Nacho Barrerra with the Rude AwakeningGorilla: "Boy Nacho really came on strong in the opening moments with a big knee to the breadbasket and one more to the face for a quick one count, but Ravishing Rick wasted no time getting it back together and teaching his opponent exactly why he is one of the premiere athletes in the World Wrestling Federation." (Bobby Heenan grabbed the mic from the ring announcer and handed it to Ravishing Rick) Rick Rude: "Bony Tony Atlas, you had the nerve to confront me last week and I made your friend SD Jones pay the price as a result. This week I once again showed you how a real powerhouse handles business. You think you're so strong, Mr USA? Come meet me in the ring for an arm wrestling challenge next week and I'll shatter all of your illusions as only I can." The Bolsheviks made a successful debut over Brady Boone and Rick Hunter.Gorilla: "Young Brady Boone showing he's no slouch in the ring, but unfortunately he had to tag out and Rick Hunter just wasn't up to the task against this massive Russian duo." Heenan: "The Soviet Stomp sent him back to next week, Monsoon. Politics aside, I really like this team. The right manager could really make a lot of money off of them....I mean for them." Gorilla: "Would you stop? Fans, speaking of tag teams, let's take a look at another exciting duo soon to make their way to the World Wrestling Ferderation." ( Right, it's pulled from an episode of Superstars, but work with me here. Imaginaaaaation.)
Koko B Ware defeated The Brooklyn Brawler with the Ghostbuster.Gorilla: "The Birdman picking up an impressive win this week, and you'd better believe he's still got an eye on Intercontinental champion Mr Perfect." Heenan: "The Bird brain had better learn to pick his battles then, because Perfect will make him into bird dropping again." In "The event center" with Ken Resnick we got pretaped comments from WWF tag team champions The British Bulldogs about their impending showdown with the Dream Team, Tony Atlas takling about his plans for conquest in the WWF, and Iron Sheik talking about something nobody understands but him. Intercontinental champion Mr Perfect defeated Jim Powers with the Perfect Plex in a non-title match.Gorilla: "Jimmy Powers looked sharp early, but there's a reason nobody has beaten Mr Perfect as of yet here in the WWF. I wouldn't say it with the Brain sitting beside me, but Perfect does indeed live up to his name." Heenan (sounding winded, as if he just ran into the booth): "I'm back, Monsoon. Did you see that? I told you Perfect is every bit as good as he says he is. I hope Hogan was watching." Gorilla: ".....Give me a break. Let's throw it to Mean Gene with the interview we've all been waiting for with the Million Dollar Man" In the arena, Mean Gene did his introductions and called out Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase along with the bodyguard Virgil. Gene got right to business, telling Ted to "stop jerking us around and tell us what you've got in store". Ted cackled like a madman and said when you're the Million Dollar Man you can afford to take your time and revel in impending victory. Virgil fanned out and displayed a wad of cash as Ted said he has begun to build what will be THE dominant team in the WWF, the one that will do his bidding and clear his path to the WWF world title. The first man is all but signed, sealed, and he will be delivered next week when the first manservant in the Million Dollar Empire makes his debut in the WWF. Gene was having no more stalling and snapped at Ted "just tell us who it is already". Ted cackled again and said next week will see the debut of his "Macho Manservant" RANDY SAVAGE. Cue the music and cut to the break. The Quebecers defeated The Killer Bees with Tower Of Quebec on Brunzell. Heenan: "No masked confusion for the Bees tonight, just eating dinner out of a straw courtesy of Jacques and Pierre." Gorilla: "The somewhat questionable tactics of the French Canadian duo just too much for the Bees to overcome this time. Fans, join us next week when we'll apparently be seeing the debut of the first...lackey in the stable of the Million Dollar Man, a guy whose reputation precedes him, Randy Savage. Brain, I have a hard time believing a guy as unpredictable as Savage would sign on to be the underling for DiBiase." Heenan: "Believe it. Didn't I tell you it would be huge, Monsoon?" Gorilla: "Indeed. For the Brain, I'm Gorilla Monsoon, so long until next week."

Superstars Of WrestlingVince: "Welcome once again to WWF Superstars Of Wrestling. Kicking it off with the challenge match between Cowboy Bob Orton and WWF champion, the one and only Huuuuulk Hogan." Jesse: "And don't forget the Hot Rod, Roddy Piper in Ace's corner."
Hulk Hogan won by disqualification over Cowboy Bob Orton when Roddy Piper interferred.
Vince: "The Hulkster had him pinned, but Roddy with the attack from behind! The Hulkster is shrugging it off, Jesse! But wait, who is this coming into the ring?" Jesse: "That's my old partner Adrian Adonis. He's helping Roddy put the boots to Hogan. Orton regaining his composure and it looks like my prediction was right. It's doomsday for Hulkamania. Andre is on the shelf and there's no one else here to help." Vince: "NO, waitaminute! It's the retrun of Superfly Jimmy Snuka racing down the aisle to help the champion. They're fighting off all three men, and Roddy Piper's group is heading for the hills." Jesse: "Hogan's luck continues. But, being the intrepid journalist I am, I'm going to head to the locker room and see if I can't find Piper, Adonis, and Orton." George "The Animal" Steele defeated Mr X via flying hammerlock in a protracted squash.Vince: "The Animal methodical in his approach today, but gets the win nontheless. And now I'm told Jesse is indeed standing by with Roddy Piper and company." Jesse Ventura was in a locker room setting with Piper, Adonis, and Orton. Piper said Hogan has the luck but he has the numbers. He snarled that Snuka climbed down off of his coconut tree to help Hogan but all he did was prolong the inevitable. Ventura welcomed Adrian to the WWF and Adonis said Roddy made the call and he answered because any chance he gets to help knock a prima donna like Hogan down a notch, he'll be there. Piper finished the diatribe (truncated here for brevity) by saying all the cards are on the table now and it's time to find out that Roddy Piper always has the winning hand. King Kong Bundy (w/Bobby Heenan) defeated Lanny Poffo after a big splash.Vince: "Poffo really brought his best to the ring tonight, but Bobby Heenan was there to make sure his man continues his winning ways. Standing by in the locker room area is Mean Gene with Hulk Hogan and Superfly Snuka." In another locker room area Gene was standing with Hogan and Snuka. Hogan shook Jimmy's hand and said when he thought the chips were down Superfly was there to the rescue. But the issue at hand now is Roddy Piper and the way he keeps attacking from every angle but head on. Hulk concluded that the only way to ensure that was to meet Piper head on in the ring with Superfly watching the Hulkster's back from the corner. And there's not a better place in the world to do it than at Wrestlemania. WWF tag team champions The British Bulldogs defeated Larry Sharpe and Johnny Rodz in a non-title match when Dynamite pinned Rodz. Lord Alfred Hayes: "Promotional consideration paid for by the following."
Vince: "After an explosive night of action, join us next week when we will get an update on Wrestlemania. The champion wants to get Roddy Piper in the ring, but the decision ultimately is made by President Jack Tunney." Jesse: "And if he knows what's right, he'll make the call. Otherwise I may need to throw my name in the hat to become the next president of the WWF. 'President Ventua': I like the sound of that, McMahon." Vince: "I'm not sure you're cut out for political Office, Jesse. But be that as it may, so long everybody."
