To answer one of the questions - I like a mix of new and old cards when it comes to Legends. About 40 minutes in - will listen to the rest after!

Appreciate the shout out! Wasn't quite sure what to expect when got the tagged notification, thought you might bring up my dark secret past from doing old GWF feds, as I remembered 2089 being a key year where I started to diverge pretty dramatically from canon . As a concept, I've always appreciated the feds on the boards that didn't detail exactly how their cards were made, but was clear that there was some underlying system. I try to replicate the feel of almost understanding what is going on, but full understaning just barely out of reach. A bunch of maybe sequential, maybe not, DVDs gives me that feel, though I do actually have a plan behind what cards are run and how they are run. To the questions for all of us in the podcast: I like having a wide variety of folks. Hoping to see some puro legends (provided it isn't contractual issues that have led to those that had been carded in black & white sets from getting colored updates). I kinda like the idea of doing supershows from a fed that I otherwise wouldn't pay any attention to. I actually never did ANY specialty matches that I recall when I was doing (and may pick back up) the CoTG universe feds. I preferred to book the surprises as part of "normal" matches and vary the presentation, as opposed to varying the match types themselves.

A friend and I were still religiously playing COTG when the second Invasion set dropped... I recall how excited we were to finally get managers in the game... The Bounty Hunter finisher mechanic was another highlight... But, like some of you, we were both kinda disappointed that Darkos did not have wrestling stats.
That brief story near the beginning of the episode about Chad's friend getting a red thumbprint on his Bounty Hunter card actually provided some flash inspiration for an angle that I might run in my Legends fed... See? Inspiration is everywhere... HA!
Really enjoyed the post-draft commentary and I'm really looking forward to seeing your individual feds kick into motion.
As for the question posed to promoters re. future Legends sets - Since I exclusively play online with color cards, I appreciate the mix of new names with updated versions of those that have appeared in past B&W editions... The team has done a mighty fine job thus far, imo... And I have complete confidence they will continue to offer players a fun assortment of talent.

And to answer Chads question:
I donβt care whether their new or redo black and white, as long as the stats are accurate...thatβs what Iβm looking for

Just started listening. To Chad's question, I prefer getting new names since I still use the b&w cards mixed in.

My Thanos-esque "perfectly balanced, as all things should be" answer is that in an ideal world we'd get 1 b&w update, 1 alternate identity of an existing card, and 1 new name every quarter. That obviously is not feasible, so it's a roundabout way of saying I prefer the mix we're getting now.
Edits: Some random respones callouts: I got the 2089 set in 1991 along with the first 2 and the Jester still had the piledriver with no move level. I saw the ROYAL RUMBLE as a British Bulldog-style over-the-shoulder powerslam, a move that he was basically only going to do on Omega and other managers. The Jester's gear...y'know, mostly I do envision guys taking a lot of the elaborate gear off--Bishop Hell didn't wrestle in that pointy hat (despite Chuck's early newsletter cover), or guys in their capes, or Adam Blast in his military get-up. But I *did* see the Jester as being goofy enough to keep his hat on in the ring.
Besides ch A and B being on Level 1 & 2 only and ch G/H being on Level 3 only, I think the assigning of choice situations to move levels was the last rule to really get codified. I think you'll see " - 2 (ch D)" and similar examples well into the 2090s.

ORANGE?! Is Tongsoon a salamander AniMan in Chad's universe? (Yes, "Cygrus Slam" for me, too.)
