As the broadcast comes on the television screen, Jake Roberts is shown holding his ten-foot python. “You know in this wild and wonderful world of professional wrestling; I have run into a bunch of people that you couldn’t trust to hold a bucket of piss without spilling. My journey has brought me to the PNW and my first challenger has promised me that the World Championship would be around his waist after STATE OF WAR.” Roberts calmly stated.

He continued, “Kevin Sullivan, I think you are a liar, and I don’t believe you at all. You see, I only trust myself, Damian here (he lifts the python up to the camera), and the DDT. Always…trust the DDT.”

- IVAN KOLOFF punished NACHO BARRERA via. RUSSIAN SICKLE (SQUASH)

The camera focused on the interview area and the lovely Melina Cortez stood with a microphone. Jim Cornette stood next to her and looked extremely agitated. Cornette didn’t even wait for Melina to ask him a question and immediately began barking into the microphone. “Long Riders, the Midnight Express beat you last show like a dog scratching its own ass! You are going to have to go to the end of the line behind the Mulkeys.”

Cornette’s smug smile turned into a frown as Bill and Scott Irwin walked into the interview area. Melina timidly walked off the set and Cornette continued to berate the Long Riders. Bill Irwin finally had enough and slapped the taste out of Cornette’s mouth.

Suddenly, the Midnight Express blindsided the biker team and a wild brawl ensued! It seemed like the Express was getting the best of the Irwin’s and Cornette broadcasted he was going to use his tennis bracket. The momma’s boy was sacked by Skandor Ackbar (apparently making his debut in PNW) and the two managers ended up slap fighting on the ground as the broadcast went to commercial break.

LUCHA BROTHERS outwrestled BROSERWEIGHTS, after PENTA EL ZERO M used a PENTAGON DRIVER on MATT RIDDLE

MATCH NOTES: Wow! The Tillamook arena were awed by these four combatants as the Lucha Libre style met Strong style and this contest proverbially ‘burnt the house down’. There were numerous near falls and high impact maneuvers, but the end of the bout came after a nasty PENTAGON DRIVER by the Lucha Brother on Matt Riddle. (****)

TJ PERKINS pinned MIKE ROTUNDA via. FIGURE FOUR DEATHLOCK

MATCH NOTES: TJP’s debut was victorious as Rotunda could not counter his high risk move set. In the waning seconds, TJP executed a picture-perfect tope suicida and tossed the Syracuse star in the squared circle to lock on the FIGURE FOUR DEATHLOCK. (*)

Once again, the camera panned to the interview area and Melina stood next to Stan Hansen. Melina timidly began to speak, “I have recently been informed by the Board of Directors that the National Tag Championships will be defended against the Long Riders at the STATE OF WAR Pay-Per-View. There is a stipulation, however, that neither manager will be allowed at ringside for any reason.”

Hansen suddenly spit tobacco juice in front of her feet and loudly shouted in the microphone. “I don’t give a mule’s sack about those four sissy boys. My focus is on that oversized wagon wheel-Abdullah the Butcher because we have been put in a match at STATE OF WAR. [Hansen spits again and some of the juice runs down his chin] Abdullah…don’t pull out that fork you carry with you on me son because I will smack that fat melon head with Mabel [he lifts his bull rope and clangs the cowbell on the camera] and I’ll show you what it means to bleed!’

MIRACLE VIOLENCE CONNECTION duked ROCK-N-ROLL EXPRESS, after TERRY GORDY pinned ROBERT GIBSON with a BAMM BAMM SLAM

MATCH NOTES: The Rock-n-Roll Express were still sore from the beating that the Road Warriors gave them and simply couldn’t counter the MVC’s power advantage. At the nine-minute mark, Terry Gordy used the BAMM BAMM SLAM on Gibson for the three count. (*)

The event was opened by Rihanna singing her heartfelt (Editor’s Note: Sometimes overlooked as a great song) ballad “American Oxygen” and the fans roared in excitement as the pyrotechnics erupted above the Chiles Center on her last note.

‘DEM BOYZ (JAY/MARK BRISCOE) put away BRITISH BULLDOGS, after MARK BRISCOE used DOOMSDAY DEVICE on DYNAMITE KID.
MATCH NOTES: The British Bulldogs came out firing on all pistons, but after a double head butt, Mark Briscoe seemed to shake the cobwebs loose. After some ‘redneck kung fu’, the brothers from Sandy Fork, Deleware lifted up Dynamite Kid and used the DOOMSDAY DEVICE to secure the three count. (1/2*)

STAN HANSEN and ABDULLAH THE BUTCHER was declared a ‘no contest’

MATCH NOTES: Abdullah was on his way to the squared circle and Hansen blindsided him with his cowbell (Mabel for those uneducated fans)! These two fought tooth and nail all over the arena but never actually entered the ring! Finally, the referee grew tired of trying to separate the two to start the match and called for the bell! The official declared the match a no contest. (DUD)

NATIONAL TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH:
MIDNIGHT EXPRESS (ch) retained against LONG RIDERS, after BOBBY EATON used a slingshot backbreaker on “WILD” BILL IRWIN

MATCH NOTES: A great match! Both teams used several finishers and had some insane bumps that awed the wrestling fans in the arena! Neither team wanted to budge and not having managers at ringside ensured that this would be a win without any controversy. At the twelve-minute mark, “Wild” Bill recovered from a FLAPJACK and walked into a slingshot backbreaker from ‘Beautiful’ Bobby. The referee slapped the canvas three times and awarded the match to Cornette’s group. (****)

SQUARED CIRCLE PRODUCTIONS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE MATCH:
JAKE “THE SNAKE” ROBERTS (ch) retained against KEVIN SULLIVAN by disqualification.

MATCH NOTES: The CSP World Champion kept Sullivan on his heels early on and would tease the challenger with attempting to use the feared DDT! The action would go back and forth for several minutes with several near pinfalls. Roberts would eventually clamp on the DDT and go for the pin but Mike Rotunda would pull the champion out of the ring by his boot on to the floor! The referee quickly called for the bell but the Varsity Club members continued their assault! Before the assault was over, the two would put the Georgia native through the ringside table! (** ½)

WARGAMES: THE MATCH BEYOND
NATURAL SELECTION (ADAM COLE, ADAM PAGE, RODERICK STRONG, & TOMMASO CIAMPA) bloodied BRUISER BRODY, STEVE CORINO, JUSTIN CREDIBLE, & RVD

MATCH NOTES: Brutality at it’s worst! This match began with Roderick Strong facing off against Justin Credible for the first five minutes. At first, these two felt one another out for a few minutes and then just went ballistic on each other! Strong harpooned Credible into the steel cage as the buzzer went off and allowed Steve Corino to enter the ring.

The duo of Double Jeopardy (Corino/Credible) thrashed Roderick for the next two minutes with the Florida native becoming the first to have his forehead busted open! As the arena started counting down from five, Strong would use a double low blow to bring the hardcore wrestlers down to their knees.

The timer went off and Tommaso Ciampa entered the structure and immediately took his opponents to task! He landed a running knee strike on Credible and executed a PROJECT CIAMPA on Corino before he went over to help his tag partner stand up in the corner. A few moments later, all four men were up and fighting like their life depended on it!

“Mister Saturday Night” RVD was next to climb into the steel contraption, but he was met with a SICK KICK from Roderick Strong! In one ring, there was Double Jeopardy beating on Ciampa and the other was Strong pummeling RVD. Corino and Credible would be brought down by a double clothesline and Ciampa fumbled toward his partner (who at that moment was the recipient of a Rolling Thunder).

Adam Page entered the fray and ‘bus’ness” picked up quick as he climbed between the ropes and slammed RVD into the steel cage! RVD forehead split open faster than a man’s wife figure\ing out how to spend his paycheck and his blood gushed down onto him and the ring mat. The momentum slowed down as the hardcore wrestlers battled back and would also tear open Ciampa’s forehead.

The PNW National Champion (Bruiser Brody) was the next entrant and final member of his team. Brody, how can I put this…didn’t enter the battle attempting to wrestle and just connected on sheer brute force with the Natural Selection members! He tangled with Adam Page and the two had the arena crowd doing the ‘yeah/boo’ routine as they exchanged blows.

The final participant entered the contest…Adam Cole…bay-bay! The match officially begun, and all eight combatants fought tooth and nail for nearly fifteen minutes with several high impact moves e.g. RVD doing a FIVE STAR FROG SPLASH on Strong that hurt both competitors in the long run, Bruiser Brody brought in a fork sized weapon and was gashing whoever was close enough with it, and Ciampa repeatedly raking Corino’s face across the steel cage.

In the waning moments, Adam Page performed a top turnbuckle FLORIDA KEYS and a running knee combination on Justin Credible that would garner the three count! Natural Selection gave one another a hug and celebrated a little but…

The arena went dark and ‘Bring It Down’ [Zenith of God] boomed out of the sound system…lights began to flash and the spotlights focused on the entrance ramp. There stood the United Empire (Will Ospreay, TJP, and Aussie Open)!!!!! (****)

Prior to the first match, a moment of silence and ten bell salute was given to honor the recent passing of Jamin Pugh. This truly was heart wrenching and deepest sympathy goes out to the Pugh family.

DEATH TRIANGLE (PENTA EL ZERO M, REY FENIX, & “THE BASTARD”PAC) easily put away DONALD JONES, “THE NATURAL” NEIL LAUE, & THE MASKED TERROR, after “THE BASTARD” PAC pinned THE MASKED TERROR via. BLACK ARROW (SQUASH).

After the match, Death Triangle walked to the interview area and Melina Cortez held the microphone in front of Penta El Zero. He began, “¡Aparentemente, fuimos intercambiados por el HCW y esa perra apuñalada por la espalda Darío al PNW! Eso está estupendo... pero hemos añadido "The Bastard" Pac para crear el Triángulo de la Muerte. ¡El único propósito del Triángulo de la Muerte es poner fin a la existencia de los mocosos mimados de HCW, The Elite!”

Penta looked at Rey Fenix and slapped him on the chest. Rey took over, “A los Young Bucks y Kenny Omega se les da todo lo que quieren y tienen sus lenguas en el de Dario culo tan lejos que le hacen cosquillas en las cejas. ¿Qué dices? Demostrémosle al mundo que HCW dejó ir al equipo equivocado... si tienes las agallas.”

Melina looked at Pac and asked what they said. Pac shrugged and stated that he doesn’t exactly know but someone is in trouble.

ROBERT GIBSON made quick work of IVAN KOLOFF with a moonsault.

MATCH NOTES: At the opening bell, Koloff rushed toward Gibson with a running elbow but the baby face dodged away and used a back elbow smash of his own! Koloff slumped to the ground and Gibson climbed up to the top turnbuckle. The R&R Express member executed a fantastic moonsault that garnered the three count. (DUD)

BROSERWEIGHTS stunned MIRACLE VIOLENCE CONNECTION, after MATT RIDDLE caught TERRY GORDY in a CROSS ARMBREAKER

MATCH NOTES: This match was a quick one as Riddle countered a knee lift by Gordy and used a Gotch style power bomb to have the MVC member reeling. After only three minutes, Riddle locked on the CROSS ARMBREAKER! Steve Williams came into the squared circle to break up the hold but was stopped with a flying forearm by Pete Dunne. Finally, the pain was too much for Gordy and he tapped out! (1/2*)

RICKY MORTON outwrestled MIKE ROTUNDA via. CROSSBODY BLOCK

MATCH NOTES: A great match! Both these guys executed move/counter move for nearly ten minutes until Morton caught Rotunda with a falling elbow. The Fallen Angel climbed up on the ring apron and started to yell at the referee. This provided the Syracuse native enough time to recover but would fall victim to a CROSSBODY BLOCK for the pinfall. (****)

SATURDAY NIGHT AT THE MATCHES
YEAR ONE TOUR FIVE SHOW THREE SUBSHOW TWO
LONGVIEW, WA

Before the PNW began a live feed, the broadcast pans out to show Scorpion Pro Wrestling’s parking lot from Show 2 and the One Man Gang pulling in to the lot on a motorcycle. He climbs off the bike and heads towards the door and a camera man runs alongside OMG as they enter the building.

The camera catches a beat-up Ford Wrangler pull up next to the SPW star’s Harley Davidson and Stan Hansen gets out of the driver’s side door of the truck. “Well, ain’t dis a shame that this vehicle is illegally parked and now there needs to be something done to it.” Hansen smiles as he pours a cup with what appeared to be spit out chewing tobacco onto the seat of the bike. “Damn boy, all this work makes me have to go use the facilities;” Hansen started to turn around but stopped. “Never mind, this poor ‘hog’ has been driving a ‘hog’ around and apparently needs to cool off.”

A zipping sound occurs, and a sound of spraying water follows shortly after. “Haha! That’s it boy…clear out and clean up!” With that, Stan Hansen zips up his pants, gets back into his truck, and leaves the parking lot.

WILL OSPREAY downed NACHO BARRERA via. 630 SENTON
MATCH NOTES: Nachomania was running wild for the opening moments and the England native was taken aback! However, Ospreay gained his footing and made quick of the enhancement talent with a ^#) SENTON to end the bout. (SQUASH)

NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP NON-TITLE MATCH:
BRUISER BRODY (ch) made quick work of ADAM COLE, after a JUMPING KNEE DROP

MATCH NOTES: Adam Cole started the match off by throwing the National Champion into the turnbuckle and tried a jumping clothesline. Brody knew better and moved out of the way and followed up with his finisher the JUMPING KNEE DROP for the duke. (1/2*)

‘DEM BOYS outlasted DOUBLE JEAPORDY (CORINO/CREDIBLE), after JAY BRISCO caught STEVE CORINO in a JAY DRILLER

MATCH NOTES: Whhoo-wee! This match was a slobber knocker as both teams beat the snot out of one another! Several finishers and impressive maneuvers were employed but it would be Corino eating a JAY DRILLER from Jay Brisco for the three count. (*** ¾)

SCP WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP NON-TITLE MATCH:
ABDULLAH THE BUTCHER won against JAKE “THE SNAKE” ROBERTS with a SUDANESE MEAT CLEAVER

MATCH NOTES: The SCP Champion attempted to stay away from the massive Sudanese native but he would be caught and thrown into a turnbuckle! Here, the challenger used several karate chops to the throat, a foreign object (looked like a fork) that busted Jake’s forehead open, and two consecutive SUDANESE MEAT CLEAVERS to end the bout. This sets Abdullah the Butcher up for a SCP World Championship Match on Show 4! (**)

AUSSIE OPEN & TJP stomped TIM MEADOWS, JERRY FARGAS, & “POWERFUL” PAUL BARNES, after KYLE FLETCHER put JERRY FARGAS in a GRIMSTONE. (SQUASH)

ROB VAN DAM defeated KEVIN SULLIVAN via. FIVE STAR SPLASH

MATCH NOTES: Not a lot to say about this one as Kevin Sullivan missed a turnbuckle charge that sent ‘Mr. Saturday Night’ into an offensive frenzy. After a FIVE STAR FROG SPLASH, the referee slapped the canvas three times and awarded the bout to RVD. (DUD)

BRITISH BULLDOGS downed LONG RIDERS, after DYNAMITE KID used a DIVING HEADBUTT on SCOTT “HOG” IRWIN

MATCH NOTES: This contest went back and forth for about five minutes with both teams giving the fans at ringside a few thrills. However, Dynamite Kid would use a dropkick to put Scott Irwin down to the mat and follow up with a DIVING HEADBUTT for the victory. (1/2*)

“HANGMAN” ADAM PAGE stunned STAN HANSEN with a RITE OF PASSAGE

MATCH NOTES: The wild man came to the squared circle looking like he was a little inebriated. Is this a continuation of last show or is “The Lariat” having some personal issues? Regardless, Adam Page had no issues with his opponent! After a series of RITE TO PASSAGE finishers, Page covered his opponent for the duke. (*)

NATIONAL TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP TAG TEAM NON-TITLE MATCH:
MIDNIGHT EXPRESS (ch) won against NATURAL SELECTION (CIAMPA/RODERICK STRONG), after BOBBY EATON used VEG-A-MATIC on CIAMPA
MATCH NOTES: A good bout! Both teams made several tag outs and had some high spots but the National Tag Champs would pull through with the win. (*1/2)

SOUTH BEND, WA

The show starts off with the SCP World Champion standing with Melina Cortez (the prettiest journalist this side of the Mississippi River) in the interview area. Melina states that Jake Roberts asked for some time to speak his mind and hands the microphone over to the visiting champion.

“Last week was an awful week for me and I will be the first to acknowledge that truth. However, the Varsity Club made a mistake with the fact that they thought I would be alone with no allies. Well, guess what Sullivan? You were wrong my friend…tonight’s main event will be the Varsity Club versus myself and a mystery partner. So, I will be getting some receipts tonight.”

Jake continued, “I also stumbled in a non-title match against the Beast from Sudan...I was hurting from the beating I took from the Varsity Club but that is no excuse. Abdullah…Paul Jones…you earned your time in the spotlight this week and I will put up the Squared Circle Production World Heavyweight Championship on the next episode of PNW Power Hour. Be careful of what you wish for because even a dead snake can bite you…see you soon.”

ADAM COLE shut down IVAN KOLOFF with a FLORIDA KEY

MATCH NOTES: The Natural Selection leader manhandled Koloff easily and played up to the ringside fans more than he paid attention to his opponent. After Cole blasted the Russian with a running knee strike, he used a FLORIDA KEY finisher to end the match. (DUD)

AUSSIE OPEN thrashed LONG RIDERS, after KYLE FLETCHER used GRIMSTONE on SCOTT “HOG” IRWIN

MATCH NOTES: The United Empire has arrived and the PNW beware as these two newcomers blazed through the Minnesota natives without breaking a sweat. After only three minutes, Kyle Fletcher used a series of GRIMSTONE maneuvers on Scott Irwin to have his team’s hands raised in victory. (* ½ )

“THE BASTARD” PAC outwrestled ‘BRUISERWEIGHT” PETE DUNNE with a BLACK ARROW

MATCH NOTES: Pete Dunne had no answer for Pac and was tossed about for a couple minutes before getting caught in the BLACK ARROW finisher. PAC covered the Broserweight member, and the referee slapped the mat three times. (* ½)

JAKE “THE SNAKE” ROBERTS & KING KONG BUNDY gained revenge against the VARSITY CLUB, after KING KONG BUNDY flattened KEVIN SULLIVAN with the FIVE COUNT.

MATCH NOTES: The SCP World Champion brought in some muscle from the Mid-Atlantic Wrestling federation with King Kong Bundy! The action went back and forth for ten minutes with several tags from both teams occurring and neither team seemed to gain the upper hand. That is until Bundy caught Sullivan with a turnbuckle splash and followed up with a FIVE COUNT finisher for the three count! Roberts quickly slid into the ring with his python and attempted to drape over Sullivan but Rotunda managed to pull his partner out of the ring in time. (**)
