SATURDAY NIGHT AT THE MATCHESYEAR ONE TOUR ONE SHOW ONEOlympia,WA- IVAN KOLOFF manhandled TIM MEADOWS with a RUSSIAN SICKLE (SQUASH); National Championship Tournament Match: - TERRY GORDY defeated JUSTIN CREDIBLE with a BAMM BAMM SLAM MATCH NOTES: Terry would hit an early POWER BOMB, but Justin would battle back! The New York native used several maneuvers off the ropes to set up for his finisher- THAT’S INCREDIBLE! However, Gordy would counter with a schoolboy roll up and immediately perform a BAMM BAMM SLAM to end the bout (* ½).
- “THE BRUISERWEIGHT” PETE DUNN slapped around JERRY FARGAS with BITTER END (SQUASH);
- THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS (EATON/LANE) shutdown MASKED TERROR & “POWERFUL” PAUL BARROWS, after Bobby Eaton pinned Paul Barrows with a ROCKET LAUNCHER. MATCH NOTES: JIM CORNETTE was flapping his gums throughout the entire match about his proteges and stating that the PNW committee conveniently overlooked “Sweet” Stan and “Beautiful” Bobby! He continued his rant with him stating that he would contact his momma to get their family lawyer to look at their contracts more closely. Cornette rambled on that he promises that the Midnight Express will become a powerhouse in the tag division, or he would move into a trailer park and change his name to the jabroni that was in the ring- Paul Barrows. (SQUASH)
National Championship Tournament Match: - RVD upset BIG VAN VADER with a FIVE STAR SPLASH MATCH NOTES: Things seemed to be going Vader’s way as he was pummeling the “Mister Saturday Night” and was going to run away with the main event! The shocking end came with Vader trying to perform a superplex off the turnbuckle but RVD countered with a hurricanrana that put the big man on his back. A FIVE STAR FROG SPLASH later and RVD would move onto the next round. ( ½ *)

Very exciting win for the Whole F'n Show... Not sure who else is competing, but a win over Vader has to make him an instant favorite to become the National Champion... Awesome stuff!

Thank you for your comments and following... RVD was a huge upset in my opinion as Vader was chosen first for my fed in the draft. I am kinda doing things on spur of the moment for announcing match ups like back in the day...you would here who won after it actually happened. I planned on a second PNW this weekend but I have the sleepies today and have only been awake for like an hour total all day. I have an FTR UPRIZING show that needs typing up as well...seems best time for me to play is weekend mornings. Anyway, I'm rambling...thanks for stopping in... |

THE WEEKDAY GRIND
YEAR ONE TOUR ONE SHOW ONE SUBSHOW TWO
EUREKA, OR- KEVIN SULLIVAN (w/ FALLEN ANGEL) pulverized DANNY STRONG via. DOUBLE FOOT STOMP (SQUASH); National Championship Tournament Match:- BOBO BRAZIL won against STEVE CARINO by disqualification MATCH NOTES: This was a great match with an awful ending! Both wrestlers had several false endings and used their finisher but Carino would try to take a shortcut around the rules. After he whacked Bobo with a Singapore cane, the referee had no other choice but to disqualify him and award the match to his opponent (****). - MATT RIDDLE made DONALD JONES JR. tap out to a CROSS ARMBAR (SQUASH); PNW’s interviewer extraordinaire (Melina Cortez) stood next to Stan Hansen near ringside and held up the microphone. “Stan, with your entry in the National Championship Tournament undetermined at the moment- what is your plans for the future here in the Pacific Northwest?”
Stan became riled up and began to shout in the microphone, “Melina, thanks to the upper management and everybody else in this stinking organization. I am sick and tired of being taken advantage of and I now do not trust nobody! Abdullah the Butcher, Terry Funk, Kevin Sullivan, and even that sissy boy… Kenny Omega! I am gonna start looking out for myself and I am tired of standing back and looking into the ring!”
Hansen continued, “Let me tell you something, Kenny Omega takes advantage of booking due to his pretty boy image and I am uglier than a cactus burr on a skunk’s ass but let me tell you that I am one tough SOB and when I get in the ring- it gets ugly! You know why? That’s the way I like it…” Stan Hansen suddenly spit tobacco juice on the floor and left the interview area.
“I guess that’s all he had to say. Fans, back to ringside;” concluded Melina. - BRITISH BULLDOGS (w/ LOU ALBANO) chewed up LOS CONQUISTADORS, after DYNAMITE KID pinned CONQUISTADOR#2 with a DIVING HEADBUTT (SQUASH); National Championship Tournament Match:- MAGNUM TA defeated MIKE ROTUNDA with a BELLY-TO-BELLY SUPLEX MATCH NOTES: These two tussled back and forth for a few minutes until Magnum went to the top turnbuckle and attempted to use a flying fist on the Syracuse native. Rotunda pulled the ref in front of him, and the official took the brunt of the maneuver. While the referee was down, Rotunda choked his opponent and tossed Magnum into the ropes. Magnum countered and Rotunda came off the ropes to meet a BELLY-TO-BELLY SUPLEX to garner the three count. (*)

Very cool that Bobo advanced to the next round of the tournament... Even though it was a DQ finish.
Really like how you're implementing the enhancement talent... And it's always nice to see Melina in any capacity whatsoever... Very nice indeed!

Both used several finishers and stole the show...too bad the main event didn't live up to the hype. Figured I would put enhancement talent just to spotlight the talent and keep their names relevant. JUMPING KNEE DROP(SQUASH); National Championship Tournament Match: - ABDULLAH THE BUTCHER easily put away MATT RIDDLE via. SUDANESE MEAT CLEAVER MATCH NOTES: Riddle struggled to keep the momentum going and could not counter the Sudanese monster's weight advantage. The 'bro' went to the ropes and attempted a flying crossbody but Abdullah caught him! A powerslam and a SUDANESE MEAT CLEAVER later, the Butcher's hand was raised in victory. (DUD)
- FABULOUS FREEBIRDS (GARVIN/HAYES) won against EL JAGUAR & DAVEY DONAVON, after Michael 'P.S.' Hayes caught Davey with a BULLDOG (SQUASH);
- Tony Schiavone was standing in the interview area while fidgeting with a microphone. He looked nervous as Paul Jones and his two proteges stood behind him. Tony stammered, "A person cannot talk about the term brutality without having to talk about the team of Abdullah the Butcher and Ivan Koloff aka 'The Butcher and the Bear'. Not to mention the man next to me, their manager-Paul Jones."
Paul Jones smiled and calmly replied, "When you talked about brutality and stared into my eyes, I would like to say thank you! You are exactly right and you have been around wrestling for a longtime Tony. Everyone can just look at these two individuals to see their sheer brutality and I want to tell people that both National Championships are going to have to travel through my camp. Tony, you know yourself, that I will not stop until I get a title for these men. My men deserve those belts and everything that goes along with it because they have paid their dues in both sweat and blood! I want you people (he points to the camera) to send emails to the SCP Board of Directors and tell them to give the championships to these two beasts!"
Tony Schiavone concluded, " There you have it fans, Paul Jones wanting your help. Back to ringside for more PNW action!"
- ROCK & ROLL EXPRESS outlasted 'SUGAR' SHAYNE & "TANTALIZING" TEDDY, after Ricky Morton pinned Shayne with a DOUBLE DROPKICK (SQUASH);
National Championship Tournament Match: - KEVIN SULLIVAN (w/ FALLEN DEVIL) upset "DR. DEATH" STEVE WILLIAMS via. DOUBLE FOOT STOMP MATCH NOTES: 'The Devious One' was not intimidated by the reputation of Williams and wore down the Oklahoma native with the use of any foreign object that he could get is hands on. It was miraculous that Sullivan was not disqualified as he used camera cables, something that looked like a screwdriver, and even a steel chair! What was the ref thinking? In the closing moments, Sullivan used a DOUBLE FOOT STOMP (and a handful of tights) to move on to the second round. (***)
