Another great episode. Always enjoy listening to Vegas tell some of the stories from signing people to the game.
The 3rd PP name wasn't a real surprise except that everyone on the Uncharted Territory podcasts said this was their favorite card art. I can't wait to see it tomorrow because no pics I've ever seen of him popped out to me as "this would make great card art". All of his pics just look like some dude. Because of the art tease I thought it was gonna be Dundee.

Another great episode, as expected... Some very cool insight from Vegas on the latest indy set... And I really enjoyed the round table discussion re. card mechanics... To this day, as simple as they might be, I think the defensive counters (like DDP's DIAMOND CUTTER out of nowhere, Castagnoli's Swiss Death or Shayne's Fury) are some of my favorites. On the subject of (tag) moves where no singles alternative is listed, I thought I'd share my system... I promise it's not as convoluted from an application standpoint as it sounds: On Level 1 Offense: A move - 3 add 1 (tag) becomes a move - 3 while a move - 3 (tag) becomes a move - 2 On Level 2 Offense: A move - 3 add 1 (tag) becomes a move - 3 while a move - 3 (tag) is rerolled on the same offensive level. On Level 3 Offense: A move - 3 add 1 (tag) becomes a move - 3 while a move - 3 (tag) is rerolled on Level 2 Offense. A FINISHER (tag) is rerolled on the same offensive level. With this system, I find it allows the wrestler a chance to replace a move - 3 with another of equal potency while ensuring that a more powerful move will never be the result. |
