Well, I'm quite happy that both my Quebecers and the Love Bro's were able to finish respectably, in the top half of the bracket... Should be interesting to see if Eaton & Lane can join Condrey & Prichard in the overall final... It could be a Midnight Massacre!

Hopefully time allows tonight for such a thing and then the finals will be run tomorrow with a couple title matches and a special appearance by History's Greatest Team.

The Road Warriors put down Masked Mayhem with the Doomsday Device on Doctor X. This went back and forth and Mayhem almost stole the victory but in the end the Roadies put Doctor X down. (Road Warriors 10 points)
Heenan Family got mauled but put down the Killer Bees following an Atlantic City Avalanche. Studd took a beating but the team had just enough to survive and Bundy suddenly caught Blair off guard and hit the Avalanche to win. (Heenan Family 10 points)
Red Pepper defeated The Privates via countout when Bastien hit a flying body press on the floor knocking the wind out of Jim Nelson. Red Pepper was dominating and Nelson just could not manage to tag out before getting counted out. (Red Pepper 3 points, Privates 1 point)
Midnight Express edged Bruno's Buddies with the Veg-O-Matic on Zbyszko. This went back and forth and both teams had chances to win but after the Express hit the Veg-O-Matic, Zbyszko managed to get his foot on the rope but Cornette pushed it off giving his team the three count. (Midnight Express 10 points)
Midnight Express 43 points Road Warriors 34 points The Privates 34 points Bruno's Buddies 33 points Heenan Family 31 points Killer Bees 30 points Red Pepper 24 points Masked Mayhem 14 points

The Roadies really kicked it into overdrive for a respectable place in the standings... But, I'm stoked that we're getting that MX vs. MX final... Now what is Mr Cornette going to do?

Special Show Ladies Champion Fabulous Moolah vs Mildred Burke 2/3 Falls Vintage Rules Match The Briscoes vs History's Greatest Team Davey Boy Smith vs Angelo Mosca Midnight Express vs Midnight Express winner to face the British Bulldogs on a future show Nacho Barerra vs Keith Steinborn World Champion Big Van Vader vs Bob Backlund Texas Death Match

Two out of three Falls Ladies Championship Match Fabulous Moolah took the first fall with a knee lift. Mildred Burke captured the second fall with a big suplex. Mildred Burke completed the comeback after taking big hits early locking in the Alligator Clutch on for the submission and the title.
The Briscoes defeated History's Greatest Team when Jay pinned Vampiro after smashing him with the Hardcore Crown. This went back and forth and Vampiro survived a Doomsday Device but he got caught by Jay with the Hardcore Crown. Jay tossed it to Mark and made the cover. As Mark went to toss it back to Jay, he got dropped against the mat and Matt Taven grabbed it. "I beat you once and I'll take your crown next." he said before departing.
Davey Boy Smith held off Angelo Mosca with a delayed vertical suplex. Mosca nearly pulled the upset with his Sleeper but Smith came back and finally worked him down before pinning him.
Originally both teams are disqualified but Teddy Long says the match must continue. Midnight Express defeated Midnight Express when Condrey pinned Eaton after Randy Rose interfered and hit Eaton with the Human Cough Drop. The craziness was only starting there though. Lane complained to Cornette who threw his shoulders up and the tennis racket hit the mat where Eaton recovered it. Eaton blasted Lane with it while Condrey and Rose dropped Prichard with the Human Cough Drop. Cornette cackled as he said he loved it when a plan came together. The team had dropped the dead weight and since the contracts said Midnight Express he could use whichever team he wanted. He said the Bulldogs would go down and the belts would come home.
Nachomania ran wild as Nacho Barrera bested Keith Steinborn with a knee smash to the face. The fans were into it and cheered loudly when Nacho took the three count.
World Champion Big Van Vader survived an early set of pins by Bob Backlund to retain the World Title by hitting the Released Power Bomb to win the Texas Death Match. Backlund dominated early and looked like he might run with it but Vader took control on the floor and never released it hitting a lot of offense and finishing with a massive power bomb. Lou Thesz stared down Vader after the victory.

Great to see the streak is still holding, my friend... Great seeing the Briscoes in action, even though they beat my favorite tag team in the Theater... Especially excited for the inevitable encounter between Jay and Matt Taven... Should be one to remember.
The MX debacle is something that only the convoluted mind of Cornette could devise... Eaton eats the fall and THEN realigns with Condrey to betray Lane AND Prichard... That's some kinda 'Who's on first?' situation right there, my friend... Oh, snap!
And in case anyone missed it...
NACHOMANIA IS RUNNING WILD!

The dice just went wild in that match and I had to take it from there. Seemed like the chicanery Cornette would manage.
It might have been Tom Stone against Nacho if I hadn't already had things loaded before his card was available.
Dem Boys and HGT had a wild match. I really wanted to play off the Perennial result between Jay and Taven so this gave me a chance. Will figure something for Mark to do until a rematch.

If you don't mind me asking, how did the Jay Briscoe Perennial tournament go? I was ordered in for work and couldn't find anyone to cover.
