With seconds to spare, Jim Brunzell finally pinned Brickhouse Brown with a jumping knee smash. This was a dull affair for the most part and finally, with 15 seconds left, Brunzell hit a quick move and put Brown down for the victory.
JJ Dillon made it competitive but Bobo Brazil took him down with the Coco Butt. Dillon got an elbow drop and a figure four for near falls but in the end, Brazil got a reversal on the floor, nearly won with a bear hug and then used the Coco Butt to knock Dillon cold.
Bob Backlund dropped Johnny Valentine with a piledriver. This was a great back and forth match with both getting near chances to win before Backlund hit the piledriver for the pin.
Jerry Brisco beat Dynamite Kid by disqualification when Dynamite Kid refused to break up a brawl and shoved the referee away. Dynamite Kid retained the Cruiserweight title but he seemed very annoyed and demanded a specialty match to settle this.

Gorgeous George rolled over Antonio Inoki finishing him with the Spinning Toe Hold. This went back and forth for a bit but when George whipped Inoki into the ropes and they hit each other at the same time, it seemed to take the fight out of Inoki as George kept hitting him with multiple big moves before locking on the toe hold and Inoki's shoulders were counted down.
Lou Thesz pinned Steve Williams with the Greco-Roman Backdrop. Williams was keeping it even when he missed an elbow drop. Thesz locked in a short arm scissors and from there quickly worked Williams down before using the backdrop for the three count.
Dutch Mantell toyed with Al Snow before pinning him after the Double Dutch Clutch. Mantell won multiple brawls on the floor before hitting his finisher once and taking the pin. (Two straight matches PIN of 5 roll of 5).
Dynamite Kid vs Jerry Brisco in a Submit or Surrender Match for the Cruiserweight Title. (Either 10 tokens or a submission hold can finish the match) Dynamite Kid edged Jerry Brisco with a snap suplex and Brisco was unable to continue. (10-9. Brisco could not clamp the Boston Crab or Figure Four Leglock for a finish. Looking back, I debate if I should have done it with the airplane spin so Brisco gets one last chance)

Ever since Castagnoli forced Jericho to tap out with a giant swing, the concept of a submission victory has changed... Not sure if that type of finish has happened before, but I've never seen it... I thought it was a great way to end the match... Fun!

We'll have some fun soon with that.
Speaking of Claudio, he and Chris might be coming in for a match against the Midnight Express.

In a 3 out of 5 Falls Finisher only match Dynamite Kid pinned Jerry Brisco with the Diving Headbutt. Jerry Brisco came back with the Figure Four Leglock to tie it up. Stellar performance by Jerry B and DK in what must have been a grueling match... Congrats to the new cruiserweight champ!
Enjoyed the double DQ to kick things off... Looking forward to a Kings vs. MX rematch... As well as a potential encounter between the Bulldogs and Heavenly Bodies... Fun times!

I'll likely put this in shop talk but this is one where after a very early double dq I felt the need to spice it up. The two teams had never faced so why such a quick tossing out of the rules and then it came to me, well the Bulldogs have to face the Express, The Bodies were betrayed by Cornette and the Kings of Wrestling were seen as interlopers. Now I can do a little feud between all four teams and whoever comes out on top will likely be holding the tag gold.
