When I believe it was Vegas was teaming Abdullah with Ivan, my mind immediately went to Ox Baker for a sometimes tag partner for Abdullah. Yeah, it was Vegas teaming Abdullah and Ivan in his Legends fed - They were called The Butcher and the Bear.

Also you could have fun with The Butcher and the Baron if you were so inclined....a Paul Jones tag team for sure.

When I first read Butcher and Baker, my mind just assumed the Butcher in question was Ed Leslie.

Terry Gordy easily put away Hacksaw Jim Duggan forcing him to submit to the STF. They bounced a bunch of moves off for a bit before Gordy missed a charge into the turnbuckle. Duggan followed him to the floor but Gordy smashed him into the ringpost and then tossed Duggan into the ring and locked on the STF for the submission.
Rock and Roll Express easily handled The Moondogs following the Double Dropkick on Spot. Gibson had some trouble but Morton nailed Spot with a dropkick for a near fall and then tagged Gibson and hit the Double Dropkick. Morton dropkicked Rex to the floor and Gibson scored the win.
Kurt Angle bested Greg Valentine with the Ankle Lock (+1). Valentine held tough for a while but in the end, the Olympic hero dropped Valentine with the moonsault and then locked on the Ankle Lock and Valentine tapped.
World Champion Big Van Vader got a tough battle from Pepper Gomez but finally won with the Vader Bomb. Gomez just would not stay down for a long time including hitting a pair of Mexican Cradles and Vader struggled for a while before finally slamming him down and hitting the Vader Bomb for the three count.

Nice effort by Pepper, but you KNOW what time it is... That title is not going anywhere... Not anytime soon.

Indeed. It was Vader Time. I was listening to a Dillon interview and he said he teamed with Les Thatcher a lot when he first wrestled in Crockett so I'm going to test them out. Also Dynamite Kid to defend his belt in a gauntlet match. IF he can retain, he'll face Vader for the World Title. If not, the wrestler who beats him gets a title shot.

An explosive run by DK in that cruiserweight gauntlet... But, Jerry stops him and earns himself a title shot... Lots of fun!

Really looking forward to them in a singles match. The gauntlet was just a teaser and DK was a bit worn from his previous three matches. Fresh, I look forward to seeing how it goes.
