Excited with two release forms we can get two Backlund cards. Personally, I think Chad should've sent it in triplicate. That way we could get the prime Bob this year, Mr. Backlund in Prime, and eventually a 2018 Japan Tour "Old Man" Bob (I say that with all due respect knowing Mr. Backlund is probably still in better shape than I am). In all seriousness, I am thrilled with the Bob we got, but would certainly not turn down a future card with different art and altered stats should the occasion arise. Maybe if we ever get that Bret signing...

One correction, Backlund and Harley Race had a "home and away" series in MSG and St. Louis, not two matches in MSG. Wanted to make sure we were accurate in our discussion!

I am very early into this podcast (listening to it now while posting some COTG results.)
A couple of early notes,
Heather Monroe is indeed now based in Florida. She left CWFH and moved there I think about 2 months ago. Heather is also indeed originally from Iowa. I wrote Des Moines as the billing on her CWFH card because that is where she got announced as being from in CWFH but I think she is actually from Altoona (not sure how far Des Moines is from Altoona.)
Fernando Valenzuela Jr., he actually played First Base for my school UNLV. I remember he got drafted by the Padres but I am not sure what happened to him afterward either other than I know he was playing in Mexico for awhile.
I should finish this podcast tonight.

Chad is always a pleasure to talk to and listen to. I'm sad though he didn't mention the Hillside 'Strangler' Motel in his Galacticon memories. 😉 He did mention Steve Williams beating Monolith at Galacticon, which was me. The year Monolith was released I beat him in three different tournament with three different people. Dr. Death, Nick Bockwinkel and Thunder. Tom even signed my Dark Menace book, begrudgingly I might add, "To the Monolith killer" from Tom... oh, the memories!..!

Very excited for tonight's reveal
I quit listening to the Cornette podcast because I don't want to listen to his hatred of current wrestling. But I could listen to him talk about the 80s for hours, I watch anything I can of his on the Highspots network Kayfabe commentaries interviews.
I've also got the Gary Hart book. It's the only book I have that I won't even let friends borrow to read!

I listen to the snippets from when he talks about old wrestlers but yeah between that and politics (I just don't want to hear politics from either side) I stopped listening to his full podcasts.

Altoona, IA, is a suburb of Des Moines. I don't remember if Fernando Jr. was on the Beloit Snappers or the visiting team. This would have been in 2005, maybe?
