Chad is always a pleasure to talk to and listen to. I'm sad though he didn't mention the Hillside 'Strangler' Motel in his Galacticon memories. π He did mention Steve Williams beating Monolith at Galacticon, which was me. The year Monolith was released I beat him in three different tournament with three different people. Dr. Death, Nick Bockwinkel and Thunder. Tom even signed my Dark Menace book, begrudgingly I might add, "To the Monolith killer" from Tom... oh, the memories!..! RE: The Hillside Strangler Motel - There are some things you want to block from your memory!!

Would have been better accommodations if we camped. π I couldn't believe it when April and I walked in the room, it was something straight out of a B rated slasher movie. Then we were leaving for the con the next morning, I was surprised as hell to see you, Tim, Corey and Rob all stayed there too.

Our reservations at the Motel 6 for Friday night were "cancelled"/went missing. I always wondered if someone was ribbing us. Thankfully, we were able to get into the Motel 6 for Saturday night. We survived our one and only night at the Hillside Strangler (Ed Lewis) Hotel.

Chad, you, Cory, Tim, Zeke and everyone else involved deserve all the credit you get for these AMAZING signings... but it sounds like Jerry Brisco has become THE MAN when it comes to getting some of these seemingly unattainable names to finally put their names on the dotted line. Thank you very much Gerald Brisco!!!

So much info dropping in the podcast!
And Chad remember those PPV's in college and after graduation w/ Brian and you. It is kind of crazy how yeah we just didn't get WCW PPVs. I think it just came down to it was a monthly tradition and we couldn't commit the time to every other Sunday is how it would have ended up.
Also it was WCW in the late 90s...

Someone needs to make a list of all the great wrestling books out there. I will happily do this. I have a ton of them, some almost as rare as the Johnny Rocket and Draconian Sheik first editions - namely Soul Man, by Rocky Johnson, Often Imitated, Never Duplicated by Lou Albano, and Hey Boy, Whereβd You Get Them Ears by Paul Boesch. I will get on this soon.

Someone needs to make a list of all the great wrestling books out there Lee and all, here is the link to a Google Doc that I just finished with the 208, and growing, list of Professional Wrestling Books I own. Some are better than others. I am happy to answer any questions you may have about these titles - such as where to find them, and more importantly, where to find them more cheaply than second hand sellers on eBay or Amazon.com docs.google.com/document/d/1PeaJ2-YaHW5QYR6S26GOqYySRyMtweZ7W8o74uT4nKQ/edit?usp=sharing

Thank you for doing this! Going to be getting some books soon - as soon as I get an amazon gift card so I can buy books on the kindle app. A lot of those are out of print and tough to find. If you are into any of those books with Scott Teal listed, go to The Crowbar Press. I believe Soul Man is the only one that is sold out, and will never be printed again.
