Okay, so I have to share this, now that I'm gradually catching back up to where I should be in my game year and have been playing a lot lately.
My biggest surprise so far from the 2123 batch and/or storyline shifts has been Nitro and Tristan. They held my tag belts for three months (not too shabby in my fed) beating tough teams like Divided We Fall and the Master Race more than once to keep them. I was quite impressed with their ability to play off of each other's strengths.
And most who know me know that for quite some time, Sly Drury has been my biggest frustration, but he's officially been tossed off that throne now by Patch. This guy's just awful for me, and it's not because he's getting DQ'd. Two wins from July to December? Hideous. And I really wanted to try to do something with him, but he stinks up the joint.
Anybody else? Who's hit it out of the park or dribbled a slow roller back to the pitcher for you in 2123?

Little shameless plug here. Not too surprising, but still quite noteworthy (to me anyway).
In my recently re-started 2119 fed, Hyde's SILVER AGE OF THE GWF, Endgame won the tournament in the beginning of the year to crown my Galaxian Champion, going over Bloodline.
Since then, he's gone through non-title victories over Disaster, another defense against Bloodline I believe, a squash over Encubus, a DQ loss to Encubus in a 2 out of 3 falls match (screwy happenings afoot in that one), and a 14-4 squash over Encubus again in an Iron Man Match.
His latest feat was retaining his title in a Triangle Triple Threat Match (must defeat both opponents to win) against Bloodline and Disaster and then IMMEDIATELY squashing Encubus (surprise cashing in a MITB opportunity) only minutes later, on the same night.
With only 5 cards left in 2119, and all of his top challengers soundly defeated in one night, Endgame looks to be on his way to holding the Galaxian Championship for the whole year. On top of that, his only 'loss' was in the 2 out of 3 falls match with Encubus, where he was DQed and then pinned (but still had a DQ over Encubus).
He has had the most dominating performance as any champion that I can recall, followed closesly by NuBorn Destruction in my aCe.

Swarm was the big surprise for me...he took three straight wins over Monolith, but ended up losing in the end.
Drury was frustrating for me as well I think he really needs an update if he hopes to contend with the main event players in 2124.

Monolith and Wolf were busts...Havoc owned them both...even Patch beat Monolith. Glads were strong holding tag belts until they lost them to Decaying Factor. I hate Sly Drury, but he always seemed to win when I didn't want him to. Swarm was so-so, but I wanted him to do better. Biggest surprise was probably Havoc, though not winning the big belt, he's put down a lot of big names.

Patch and DWF are my biggest failures. DWF quickly lost the belts to The Glads and have been losing to pretty much every team since. I really like the character of Patch but man, he's having a tough time beating mostt people.
As always, Plethador is the surprise simply by the fact he keeps about a 500 average wins vs losses in my fed.

Plethador's actually started my 23rd game year at 2-1! Granted, the pinfall win was over Scimitar and the other was a DQ win against Valour, but still!

Sly Drury won my Galaxian Title in October of 2123 and I haven't played since due to my tag titles going through an odd situation and wanting to see the tag situation for 2124 before continuing. There are all kind of flops, Retribution comes to mind. This guy stinks and can never hold his own with Nosfera.

Sly Drury has been awesome for me in 2123. Tauran has been a huge disappointment. I expected big things from him with his latest card, but he hasn't come through for me at all.

Patch is 5-11 for me at this point. A real disappointment for me as I wanted to push him into the spotlight.
American Guy; ever since Stars & Stripes split he hasn't done anything for me. I can't figure out why he's so bad; he is 2-6 & might not ever be used in a singles match again.
US Male; I've tried to get behind him & ride him to a title shot but he always falls short before he even gets there. He is 4-7 right now & is without direction or purpose. I think that my next plan for Male & Guy will be to push them into a Miz & Morrison role & hope they find some life.
My biggest disappointment is Payback. His card is really good but he just can't win regularly for me. 8-12 this year; 13-32 over the last 3 years. I want him to win; he just can't.
Swarm's new card has been a great surprise. He is finally a contender for all the titles & captured one not too long ago.
Tauran's card has also been a nice surprise. He finally captured his first title & continues to hold it.

My biggest disappointment is Nitro he is my favorite wrestler he just can't win! his record is 4-17. My biggest suprise is the new Tauran he had my belt until Monolith finally beat him after 5 tries!
