AWF Card #1 - January 2, 2021 Cleveland, Ohio
-Gordon Solie stands in the ring with AWF President MW Jergs, and AWF Commissioner Teddy Long. They are announced to the ring and to the fans by Gary Michael Cappetta.
"Ladies and Gentlemen welcome to the American Wrestling Federation! And at this time I would like to introduce the gentleman to my right. He is the owner and C.E.O. of AWF enterprises Mr. MW Jergs! And to his right the Commissioner and chief matchmaker of the AWF Theodore "Teddy" Long! And to my left the Dean of professional wrestling announcers, and the voice of the AWF Gordon Solie!"
"Thank you so very much and gentlemen we aren't going to spend a whole lot of time talking because we have some tremendous action in store for the fans here this evening but we hope that all the fans plan on checking into the competition here in the American Wrestling Federation each and every week. Is that correct Mr. Jergs?"
"Yes indeed Gordon. Over the years my name has been synonymous with only the best in professional wrestling and I hope to maintain that standard with my latest venture in the AWF. Now let me turn it over to a man with years of experience in this great sport. He's been an official, a manager, and a commissioner and he will be the law here in the AWF. Mr. Teddy Long!
"Holla, Holla, Holla! That's right. Tonight we kick things off with eight exciting matches highlighted by a Fall Count Anywhere match between Terry "Bam Bam" Gordy and Bruiser Brody, a tag team battle between Jim Cornette's Midnight Express against Hawk and Animal - The Road Warriors and the Main Event will see two true legends square off in Lou Thesz and "Nature Boy" Buddy Rogers. So let's get down to it!
1) Harley Race (w/ Bobby Heenan) defeated "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan with a Top Rope Diving Headbutt in 5:21. -Race came to the ring alone but took the mic to announce his new manager Bobby Heenan who came walking out to ringside. Heenan berated Duggan and then took his place in Race's corner. Duggan started quickly but missed a turnbuckle charge which opened the door for Race. He dominated the rest of the bout and finished things off with a Diving Headbutt for the three.
2) "Diamond" Dallas Page beat "Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase with a Top Rope Cross body in 7:11. - DiBiase took the mic before the match started and offered Page $1,000 to lay down and eat the pin. Page swatted the money away and the match was on. Great back and forth action. Page surprised everyone including his opponent once he went to the top rope. He flew off with a beautiful body press for the win.
3) Rob Van Dam & "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka beat Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volokoff by Disqualification in 8:09. -Superfly hit a flying head butt to the prone Volkoff that could have ended the match if not for the Sheik's pin save. He stomped on Snuka and then threw the ref out of the ring! The Iranian then stomped on the mat and landed a loaded boot to Snuka's head. Van Dam then hit the ring and helped fight off the foreign menaces. As order was restored the official decision was given to RVD and Snuka by way of the DQ.
4) Gorgeous George (w/ Cheri Dupre) defeated Bobo Brazil with a Spinning Toehold in 6:45. -George's antics didn't faze the popular Brazil and his rained hammer fists down on George who was running for his life. A Coco-Butt set up the pin but Dupre was able to distract the ref to halt the count. Brazil was also distracted and the Human Orchid used a low blow to incapacitate Brazil. George then applied his patented Spinning Toehold for a full three minutes before Brazil could stand no more.
In-Ring Interview: (Gordon Solie is with Diamond Dallas Page) "Well let me say that the man to my right has made his presence known here in the American Wrestling Federation and that's Dallas Page. Let me congratulate you on a hard fought victory earlier this evening over a tough customer in Ted DiBiase.
"Hello Cleveland! What's up?! That's right it was a hard fought win and that's what DDP is all about. I work for what I get. I ain't about taking short cuts and Mr. Money Bags found that out the hard way tonight. But I on the next challenge and there I guy here in the AWF that I respect but I also want to chance to beat him and that's Harley Race. So I want everyone to know, especially Race that I want to chance to face him in that right."
"Bold words Mr. Page, Harley Race has many accolades to his credit but I like your straight forward attitude and hopefully we will hear directly from Harley Race about this challenge perhaps next week."
5) "Mr. Perfect" Curt Henning defeated "Macho Man" Randy Savage with a Sleeper in 11:27. -Great match between these two with near falls for both men. Outside the ring Henning grabbed an object from his boot and smashed Savage between the eyes. He then rolled the semi-conscious Macho Man back in the ring and applied Sleeper hold. The ref dropped Savage's arm three times and called for the bell. This brought "Hacksaw" Duggan to the ring. He tried to tell the ref what occurred. Henning jawed with Duggan and then spit his gum at him. Duggan then charged Henning and slammed his 2 by 4 over his head. The blow sent him falling out of the ring and on to the floor. Officials came out to escort Duggan to the back and medical personnel to check on Hennig. (Hennig is injured 2 fight cards)
-Falls Count Anywhere- 6) Terry Gordy beat Bruiser Brody in 9:41 with a Power Bomb. -A brutal brawl that went in and out of the ring. Outside Brody charged Gordy but was back dropped to the floor. Gordy then in a feat of strength slammed Brody again on to the concrete with a Power Bomb to gain the victory.
7) The Road Warriors (Hawk & Animal) beat The Midnight Express (Dennis Condrey & Bobby Eaton) (w/ Jim Cornette) by Count-Out in 13:22. -The Express tried to stay away from the power of the Roadies but they couldn't do so the entire match. All four men were in the ring and Animal clothesline Eaton to the floor and Hawk hit a flying shoulder block to the legal man Condrey. Condrey fell to the concrete and could not recover before the ten count even though Cornette was furiously trying to revive his man.
-Main Event- Special Ref: Morgan Dollar 8) "Nature Boy" Buddy Rogers beat Lou Thesz with a Figure Four Grapevine in 18:32. -Morgan Dollar was the special official assigned to tonight's Main Event and first decision was to ban Rogers' manager Bobby Heenan from ringside! Heenan was livid and refused to move. Teddy Long took the mic and threatened suspension if Heenan did not leave immediately. This was a fantastic contest with Thesz almost putting away the braggart Rogers with his patented press but Rogers placed a foot on the ropes. Finally Rogers was able to apply the Figure Four Grapevine and Thesz had no choice but to concede.

AWF Card #2 - January 9, 2021 Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
-AWF Commissioner / Matchmaker Teddy Long is out to start the show.
"Fans, I hope that you all enjoyed our big first show last week but tonight I want to go even bigger! Tonight I have four teams that will vie for the American Wrestling Federation World Tag Team Titles!"
1) "Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase pinned "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan with a Vertical Suplex in 7:02. -DiBiase ducked an attempted clothesline by Duggan into the turnbuckle. He spun around and lifted him up for the suplex and grabbed a handful of tights to secure the win.
2) "Gorgeous" George (w/ Cheri Dupre) beat "Diamond" Dallas Page with Rolling Hiplocks in 9:35. -Page rallied after being distracted by Dupre and had George in trouble. A Diamond Cutter almost got the win but the Human Orchid tossed a right foot over the bottom rope to force a break. Then Ted DiBiase came to ringside and started jawing with Page who unwisely took his attention off his opponent. George hit a low blow from behind and then sinched in his Hiplock Takeovers to gain the victory.
-A.W.F. World Tag Team Title Tournament- 3) The Road Warriors (Hawk & Animal) defeated Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff when Animal pinned Volkoff with a Powerslam in 10:42. -The Chicago natives were in control for most of this bout. A few double team moves left Volkoff exposed to a powerful Power slam for a three count.
-A.W.F. World Tag Team Title Tournament- 4) Midnight Express (Dennis Condrey & Bobby Eaton) (w/ Jim Cornette) defeated "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka & Rob Van Dam when Condrey pinned RVD after a Suplex onto Partner's Knee in 11:12. -Very competitive tag team match. Cornette proved to be the difference as his Distraction set up a Midnight double team that hurt Van Dam and was enough to put him away before Snuka could make the save.
In-Ring Interview: (Gordon Solie is with Bobby Heenan, Harley Race, & Buddy Rogers)
"Well Mr. Heenan I must say that you are slowly building a rather impressive group of competitors under your guidance."
"Solie, these men are the best in the world and they aren't just some stable, they are a family - The Heenan Family.
"Yes indeed. Mr. Rogers you have something you'd like to add."
"Yes I would. (long pause) Bobby, I have to say I'm a little surprised that you would make this move and not consult me. I'm the Nature Boy and I will wear the World Title, it's only a matter of time. So I'm puzzled as to why you feel the need to manage Harley Race? He's good, no doubt but he isn't Buddy Rogers and that the God's honest truth."
(Heenan stammers)
"Hold on a moment Rogers. You aren't afraid of a little competition are you? You think you're the best. I know that I'm one of the very best to ever put on a pair of wrestling boots. I know that the promoters will be putting together a huge tournament and all I say is may the better man win. In the meantime you beat the great Lou Thesz last week. I have a match signed with him for next week and I'll not only beat him but I'll do it quicker than you did."
"Hold on, Hold on. Stop! Solie look at what you've done."
"I've done no such thing, I think you're trying to hedge your bets and you may be the one to get burned Mr. Heenan. I do have one question for Harley Race. Dallas Page challenged you here on this program last week to a match. What is your response?
"Who? Oh, that tough guy who ran his mouth and had the nerve to put my name out there for a challenge. Didn't he just lose the last match? I have no response. He isn't fit to be in the same state as me, much less a wrestling ring."
(Race and Rogers begin to argue again as Heenan plays peacemaker)
"Well there you have it fans and it looks like Bobby Heenan has his hands full."
5)"Macho Man" Randy Savage defeated Terry "Bam Bam" Gordy with a Flying Elbow Drop in 7:38. -The agility of Savage was the difference here as he was able to use his quickness to put away the larger Gordy for a well earned win.
6) Lou Thesz & Bobo Brazil beat "Nature Boy" Buddy Rogers & Harley Race (w/ Bobby Heenan) by Disqualification in 12:51. -Thesz hit his Press off the ropes on Rogers and had him in major trouble. Heenan grabbed the leg of the ref and stopped the count. The official immediately called for the bell and awarded the bout to the popular Thesz and Bobo.
7) Bruiser Brody defeated Ivan Koloff with a Jumping Knee Drop in 4:32. -This was a total squash as the Russian got in little to no offense at all.
-A.W.F. World Tag Team Tournament Final- 8) Road Warriors (Hawk & Animal) defeated The Midnight Express (Dennis Condrey & Bobby Eaton) (w/ Jim Cornette) when Hawk pinned Condrey with a Flying Clothesline in 16:09. -Special referee Morgan Dollar ejected Cornette mid-way through the match due to repeated interference. The Warriors then used several double teams and then a clothesline off the top rope to win the titles.

AWF Card #3 - January 16, 2021 Boston, Massachusetts
1) Ivan Koloff defeated "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan with the Russian Sickle in 6:09. -Koloff dodged a wild tackle from Duggan and hit his trademark clothesline to pick up the win.
2) Rob Van Dam defeated Nikolai Volkoff with a Standing Moonsault in 9:11. -Van Dam was able to stay away from Volkoff's power and use his agility to hurt the big Russian. He finished things off with a spectacular moonsault to gain the three count.
3) "Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase & Terry Gordy beat "Macho Man" Randy Savage & Bruiser Brody by Disqualification in 10:44 when Brody used a chair. -Interesting alliances are formed here as DiBiase teams up with the hard nosed Gordy. Gordy has had his issues with both Savage and Brody so it seemed only natural for them to meet again. The match was hard fought but Brody let his nature get the best of him and while battling on the floor slammed a steel chair over Gordy's head. The ref called for the bell and it took several minutes to restore order.
4) "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka defeated The Iron Sheik with the Superfly Leap in 8:35. -Snuka was one step ahead of Sheiky most of the match. He flew off the top rope to get his hand raised in victory.
In-Ring Interview: (Gordon Solie is with Gorgeous George & Cheri Dupre) "Hello fans and here with me is perhaps one of the most underestimated competitors due to his flamboyant nature and of course I'm talking about Gorgeous George and sir it is true that you are currently undefeated during your brief time here."
(George is annoyed and demands Dupre spray the area surrounding Solie with perfume.)
"Ahhh. Much more to my satisfaction. Yes many will underestimate me and all will most certainly pay for it. I am not a man to be trifled with Mr. Solie as a few of these ghastly vagabonds have discovered so far."
(Diamond Dallas Page interrupts)
"Mr. Page I muse remind you that this is not your interview time."
"I know Gordon, I'm sorry but I need a quick word with fancy pants here. Last week you may have gotten a win over me but there were several distractions at ringside during that match. So I want one more chance - you and me in that ring but one stipulation, I want an "I Quit" match.
"Young man I've already disposed of you and I'm ready to move on. Next."
"Hold on. I'll do anything. Name your price. If I lose I'll leave the AWF, how about that?"
"Hmm. Tempting that way the air quality would improve immensely. Ah I have it. Ms. Cheri looks awfully tired these days. She tends to my every need you know. If you lose our match you will take here place for one week. Seven days sir. Agreed."
"You got it jack. I aint worried. Get ready to feel the BANG!"
"Well it looks like we have an I Quit Match scheduled for next week. I'll just make sure that Teddy Long has all the contracts in order but it will be Dallas Page versus Gorgeous George in an I Quit match and if Page loses he will be the valet of George for one week. Stay tuned.
5) Bobo Brazil defeated "Nature Boy" Buddy Rogers (w/ Bobby Heenan) with Hammer punches in 13:42. -Brazil gathered steam with power moves and his trademark Coco-Butt. He landed three consecutive and went for the cover. Heenan scooted into the ring to break up the pin but Brazil caught him and flung him into the turnbuckle. Heenan flipped over the top and onto the floor! Bobo resumed his assault and out came Harley Race to check on his manager. He was handed a foreign object to give to Rogers. Brazil was distracted and the Nature Boy hit him with a low blow. Rogers reached out and Race just smiled and put the object back in his tights. "Do it yourself!" barked Race. Rogers turned around and a recovered Bobo rained a huge fist to his face and got the three count.
(Jim Cornette is out in the ring with The Midnight Express) "Last week there was a horrible miscarriage of justice as my men were robbed of the AWF World Titles and I demand that that peanut headed little goof Teddy Long get out here right now!
(Teddy Long makes his way to the ring.) "Jimmy what do you want. You're holding up the show."
"Did you review the tapes of last week's match with those two gorillas? We were cheated plain as day and we demand a re-match?"
"Well you've come to the right man Jimmy and my answer is .... NO."
"No!!! How could you?! Who's better than us? I'll answer for you nobody. We can whip anyone you put in front of us and I do mean anybody."
"Well Ok. I'm glad you said that because I have a team here that would love to wrestle you right now."
"Bring 'em out because we are not in a good mood."
(The Rock N Roll Express hit the ring to "Rock and Roll is King" and the match is on.)
6) Midnight Express (Dennis Condrey & Bobby Eaton) (w/ Jim Cornette) beat Rock N' Roll Express (Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson) when Eaton pinned Morton after Midnight Massacre in 11:09. - A wild bout as was expected. All four were in the ring as the ref lost control. Cornette jumped on the ring apron and held the top rope down as Condrey threw Gibson over the top rope. Cornette turned around and was nailed with a dropkick by Morton and sent to the floor. Morton got up and was victim to a brutal double-team and the fell victim to the pinfall.
7) Lou Thesz beat Harley Race (w/ Buddy Rogers) with the Stepover Toehold facelock in 12:55. -Bobby Heenan was unable to come to ringside due to injuries from earlier but instead he sent Rogers to ringside. This wasn't idea; for his stable mate Race as at times he seemed actively rooting against him. Thesz used the distractions to his advantage and locked in a submission move and Race had no choice but to concede.
-Non-Title Match- 8) The Sheepherders (Butch Miller & Luke Williams) beat The Road Warriors (Animal & Hawk) (c) when Miller pined Animal with a Double-Gutbuster in 10:42. -The debut of the crazed Sheepherders ended in them earning a tag team title shot in the future but not without controversy. Jim Cornette came out to ringside and lured Animal outside the ring as the ref was distracted with the action in the ring. Quickly Eaton and Condrey emerged from the crowd and attacked Animal with steel chairs and rolled him back in the ring. The Sheeps dropped him with their finisher and got the win.

AWF Card #4 - January 23, 2021 Detroit, Michigan
1) Ivan Koloff (w/ Gen. Nikita Breznikov) beat Lou Thesz with a Russian Sickle in 10:09. -Great opener with an upset finish. Koloff surprised the crowd as he was led to the ring by his new manager. Breznikov proclaimed that the Red Army is taking over the AWF and that Thesz would be the first victim. Thesz controlled much of the bout and whipped himself off the ropes setting up for a Thesz Press. As he rebounded off Breznikov grabbed his leg and tripped him up. Koloff recovered and nailed Thesz with a Sickle and quickly covered him for the three count. The crowd was a bit shocked and so was Thesz at the turn of events.
2) Rob Van Dam & "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka beat "Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase & Terry "Bam Bam" Gordy by Disqualification in 8:35 after outside interference. -RVD and Snuka looked good in this one. A head butt sent DiBiase over the ropes and Van Dam came flying off the top rope with a Five-Star Frog Splash on to Gordy. The ref started to count but they were stopped by The Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff attacking the official and Snuka and Van Dam. More referees came out to restore order before any real damage could be done.
3) "Mr. Perfect" Curt Hennig defeated "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan with a Perfect Plex in 9:08. -Hennig controlled most the of the match. Duggan got in some offense and inexplicably went to the tope rope. Henning caught him and then locked him in the Fisherman Suplex for the victory.
4) "Macho Man" Randy Savage & Bruiser Brody beat Midnight Express (Dennis Condrey & Bobby Eaton) (w/ Jim Cornette) by Disqualification in 12:45. -The match spilled to the outside and Condrey used a Steel Chair on Brody. The official called for the bell but that didn't stop Brody as he went to his chain and cleared the ring.
In-Ring Interview: (Gordon Solie is with Bobby Heenan)
"Well Mr. Heenan I know that you are referred to by some as "The Brain" but you may have outthought yourself and now you have a potentially ugly situation on your hands with Buddy Rogers and Harley Race."
"Don't look so smug Solie. Now it's true that the Heenan Family hasn't gotten along as well as I'd hoped. In fact I asked that both men stay in the back and not join me here for this interview. These are very competitive, proud men and they each want to prove that they are the best."
"And it is in that vein of competition that I've been told by Teddy Long that a match has been signed for next week between Harley Race and Buddy Rogers. Of course this begs the questions Mr. Heenan who's corner will you be in for that match?"
"I am totally against this but Rogers and Race want it so let'em get it out of there system. And if you and the humanoids must know I will be in the locker room. I will not be at ringside."
"I see. Well, it's my understanding that the Qualifying matches for the AWF World Heavyweight Title tournament will be signed soon and I'm sure a win by either man would position themselves quite well for seeding and potentially gaining the championship."
"The first champion will be Buddy Rogers or Harley Race, simple as that. I just hope they realize the money at stake and what it means to me - I mean them if something goes wrong."
5) Harley Race (w/ Bobby Heenan) beat Bobo Brazil with a Piledriver in 13:25. -Brazil had Race in a crushing Bearhug and in major trouble. Heenan jumped on the apron and distracted Bobo who released the hold. Brazil then slid out of the ring and started to chase Heenan who made a quick turn to the locker room. Brazil was unaware that Race had mounted the top rope and he hit a Double Axe Handle to his neck. Race then rolled him in and dropped him on his head again and got the win.
6) The Rock N' Roll Express (Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson) beat Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff when Morton pinned Sheik after a Double-Dropkick in 11:18. -Volkoff charged Gibsob who sidestepped him and the big Russian went crashing on to the concrete. This set up a beautiful double team and the patented double dropkick to knock the Iron Sheik out for the three.
-I Quit Match- 7) "Diamond" Dallas Page beat Gorgeous George with a Diamond Dream in 17:51. -A thrilling match that saw Page refuse to give in five separate times. George became frustrated and missed a knee drop. Page then clamped in a Sleeper and would not let go. The Human Orchid was out cold and could not respond to the ref's instructions. Ms. Cheri who was banned from ringside for this match quickly rushed to George's side and attempted to revive him.
-AWF World Tag Team Title Match- 8) The Sheepherders (Butch Miller & Luke Williams) beat The Road Warriors (Hawk & Animal) (c) by Disqualification in 9:44. -The Warriors dominated the action in this one. Animal went for the cover after a Doomsday Device on Williams. Miller made the pin save and all four started to brawl. Outside the ring Hawk slammed Miller into the ringpost and then Animal delivered a vicious Power Slam thru the ringside table that forced the ref to call for the bell.

Love what you got going on here.
As a somewhat unrelated side note, me and some friends have been playing a TTRPG called World Wide Wrestling RPG for a couple of years now and when it was my turn to run a promotion, mine was also called the American Wrestling Federation.
So, I'll be a fan and am looking forward to seeing further cards!

The match spilled outside and Van Dam hit a flying plancha and grabbed a chair. He must have reverted to his old ECW ways and hit a devastating Van Daminator to Hennig that almost knocked him cold. The ref wasn't going to stand for it in this setting and called for the bell.

Then the Midnight double teamed Thesz and after the Midnight Massacre Cornette was able to revive the ref to make the three count.
-AWF World Title Tournament Qualifier- 6) Iron Sheik defeated "Diamond" Dallas Page in 7:42 with the Camel Clutch. -Page hit a Russian leg sweep and signaled for the Diamond Cutter, then Gorgeous George came to ringside with Ms. Cheri perfuming the area behind him. -AWF World Tag Team Title Match- Chicago Street Fight- 7) The Road Warriors (Hawk & Animal) (c) defeated The Sheepherders (Butch Miller & Luke Williams) when Hawk hit the Doomsday Device on Miller in 10:18. -Brawling in and out of the ring.
