I have a fun NJPW style GWF reboot fed going, which you check out here: filsingergames.proboards.com/thread/22780/njpw-style-reboot-fedI’ve got 3 main tournaments at the moment, a number of other minor cards, and 3 “ major” events, Demios Superclash (my Wrestle Kingdom), Triple Card (3 night event that settles 2 of my 3 tournaments) and Bloodsport (all special matches). I’m sketching out where I want to go over the next handful of years as the roster expands and I want to add a 4th “major” but want it to be distinctive with its own theme separate from the other 3. I don’t want a Battle Royal or Survivor Series theme and while NJPW has a number of events they don’t quite stand out to me in the way I want this 4th major to be. So with all of that being said, does anyone have any suggestions or things they do or have done in their fed(s) that might fit in with this? |

If you are doing a new Japan Style fed you need a long term tournament like the G1, that wraps up at a big event. Not sure if thats the 3rd tournament you havn't mentioned yet.

Yeah I have the Tournament of Planets which acts as my G1 with the winner getting to choose the main event for January’s Demios Superclash with any titles on the line or stipulations they choose (lots of possibilities there!). The Tournament of Planets finale will act as a de facto “major” for the time being but I want another major event with its own theme and identity outside of just a big card with a tournament final. Right now I’m in 2088 and only doing 20 cards for this year and next, but as I move into War Games and beyond I’m going to expand to closer to 40 cards per game year and want to be prepared for how it’s going to break out. |

Given that nature of the GWF and the teams involved. I think some team event would be good. I know you said no Survivor Series, but I think there may still be something else team based that could be a major event.
Another style event that I have run I have top contender matches for every title in the first half of the show and then have the winners face the champions in the 2nd half of the show.

Yeah having some kind of teams based event does make sense. After I posted this I thought of doing something as a tie in to whichever game year I’m in, so for example having Aethran Ultimate Escape Matches in Civil War 2099 and 2100 and just calling that event Civil War in those two years. That’s a little basic but something to think about. |

Maybe a Lethal Lottery type event where you have random tag teams drawn to battle in a tournament where the winners then face each other in the Main Event. The winner gets a guaranteed title shot any time he wants (a la Money in the Bank)...Call it the Galaxian Lottery...

The Mega Tournament. Stables of 4 or 5. Usually two singles and a tag team.
Come up w a scoring system for wins, tag wins, 6-10 Man tag wins, 3-4 Way Dances, Battle Royal (traditional), Royal Rumble w each stable sending two participants. Points for battle Royal eliminations.
Book a set number of events. Use dice to make matchups random by giving each stable a number 1-10 (or whatever).
Card 1 : singles matchups
Card 2 : tag matches
Card 3 : Batlle Royals
Up to ur final card which is the Mega Rumble
Most points at the end wins.
I started every year around late October- early Nov and finish in December.

How about a Battlezone event where the surviving members of the team meet in a mini-tournament and the winner gets a briefcase for a contract where he gets to choose what title to wrestle for and the match stipulations
