Just wondering how long it takes for wrestlers with special card mechanics, Like Bob Backlund and his Rolling Backbridge mechanic, to eventually get programmed into the simulator. In this instance, without that mechanic, he looses generally one, sometimes more, pinfall attempt per match. I'm still new to online play but I like the simulator, but have not really studied how many wrestlers have their special card mechanics built in. An example of one who does is Paragon and his finisher. When he rolls his finisher, the simulator rolls 1 die then goes from there.
Also, in the sim and the game table, has anyone noticed any "side bias"? as in depending on if a wrestler is on the left, or right side, they will perform better, on a given side. In the sim, I seem to be noticing a left hand bias, I've 7 series of "first to 10 wins" matches between Backlund and Angle, with Angle on the left and Backlund on the right, they are damn near dead even (2 10-8 rounds and 2 10-9 rounds, one of each for Backlund and Angle) Then putting Backlund on the left side and angle on the right (3 series so far), Angle one one 10-8, and Backlund won the other 2 10-5 and 10-6. Not scientific by any means, but noticeable nonetheless. has anyone seen anything like this running matches on the game table?
Thanks, Mike

Yes I noticed something similar with the left/right when I ran a tournament recently. The Armstrongs who normally don't do that great for me won the tournament. They were on the left the entire tournament since I went by alphabetical order to select the teams. What I tend to do now is place the wrestler I want to win on the left to further my angles or give that person a push.

I love online but I’m not too confident of the simulator applying unique mechanics properly so I never use it. Takes a bit longer but I always use the game table, it’s quicker than getting out the physical cards though.

I’m mostly familiar with the Game Table and haven’t noticed any ‘side bias’ in terms of the rolls that come up. Because I don’t believe the PBP Simulator handles mechanics like you speak of too well I don’t use it often.

In complete agreement with wayne and throwingtoasters on this issue... In addition to card mechanics, there are just too many things the PBP simulator cannot handle... Being completely honest, I've always wished that I could play with physical cards and dice because I love the hands-on feeling of rolling out those matches... But, it's just not practical so I use the online gameboard which is the next best thing, imo.

Kids and family dog too destructive to risk. Plus my wife would take the mick if I sat rolling in front of her. I'll often get the cards out late at night to admire them though and love collecting them. So gametable allows me to progress my fed somewhat discreetly. I'd go a lot faster with simulator if I had confidence in it but I want to play it as by the book/card as possible so gametable is best with ringside companions on hand for special matches/rules etc.
