I've never seen these new guys in action, so what is this move by Jimmy Jacobs?
Is it a weapon? And how is it countered?

I'm assuming it's him stabbing them with a spike. It's usually countered by them not letting the spike go into the area being stabbed.

It's exactly what it sounds like, a long nail meant to be hammered into railroad ties, not people (ha ha) that Jacobs has concealed at the beginning of the match. To see it in all it's glory, check out the ROH "Bloodstained Honor" DVD, which contains one of the most violent matches I've ever witnessed, the "Windy City Death Match" between Jacobs & Colt Cabana, still the only match I've ever seen to feature scissors, yes scissors, as a weapon!

If that's the only match you've ever seen with scissors as a weapon, then I'm going to guess you've never seen CZW or anything involving Mad Man Pondo, right?

Watched a bunch of Naptown Dragons footage on you tube, might have missed the scissors, what with all those broken light tubes all over the ring (ha ha) but no, haven't seen alot of other CZW footage. Sounds like I'm missing out, though I really need to be in the mood to watch matches where the wrestling becomes secondary to the weapons. And before you rip me apart, I'm just saying sometimes I want "wrestling" & sometimes I definitely want "gore"!

I'm not going to rip you apart for anything, I'm just saying that there's been a ton of other matches that have seen scissors used as a weapon.

In all fairness, the match in question was very brutal for an ROH match in terms of weapons and blood and such. Just like the Homicide vs. Colt Cabana - I Quit match...not the norm for ROH.

I wasn't a huge fan of it, but it did do a lot of stuff that wasn't exactly the norm for ROH, like the coat hanger choking at A Night of Tribute.
