Enjoyed the podcast. Random thoughts:
1. Mike...your comments about James Jeffries and your kids reminded me about why indie wrestling will always be awesome to me. When my son was little, we went to an indie show and he was really cheering for a particular wrestler. After his match, the wrestler came out in full ring gear and sat next to my son and totally surprised him. He stayed for like a half hour sitting next to him and talking to him. It was unexpected and blew my son away. Very cool.
2. Sam, Thanks for answering my Chicagoland promotions question, but I realized I wasn't thinking outside the wrestling box. Beyond some great wrestling, I now imagine a Cubs homestand game with a huge section of FG Promoters...Nice

A fun show! Thanks for asking my question. Mike M, thanks for the love for James Jeffries. He is such an awesome guy. Your story makes me more excited to get his IPW card next year. Promoters, check out James on YouTube or on IPW's Facebook page if you haven't seen him before. Todd ( Tournament Master), how can you not love the NWA gold dome belt?! Just kidding. You had very valid points on the design.

I still overall like the belt but I will never look at it the same again.

I love the TEN POUNDS OF GOLD. Its the most ICONIC title belt in wrestling history IMO. As for the American Flag on the front, I don't see the problem. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 It's a U.S. based origination, if it was Canada based I'm sure the Maple Leaf would be on the front.

To me, it's more the aesthetic of how the US flag is just kind of plopped off to the side in full color, while the rest of the front panel is lookin' all classy in gold, silver and black.

This is my issue. Then again, I am a stickler for symmetry in places I think its appropriate, including title belts. If the US flag was on the side with the other flags I would be fine with it. It is a World Title, so while its mostly defended in the US, I dont think that should be the focus of the title belt. Again, I know my potential for getting heat for that critique was high.

I'm with you Todd. Never a fan of 10 Pounds Of Gold. Big Gold was such an incredible upgrade!
I'll never understand everyone's love for the Winged Eagle either. It was SMALLER than the IC Title! I really liked the larger Winged Eagle that debuted in 1998 but Austin started using the smoking skull belt soon after so you didn't see it too much.
