Hey guys, just playing some VINTAGE stuff tonight and I was taken aback by an unlikely feud. Thought I'd share and see if someone else had some they wanted to share ...
So I'm going back in time and adding a syndicated show called MARTIAL LAW that is like a mix of NXT/Wrestling Senior Tour. It is going to feature a division of eight guys who left the main fed and want to keep going or perhaps just want to not travel anymore. At LAW headquarters in Niagara Falls, NY is the "Courtroom" or Colby Arena where this syndicated show takes place. Enter the LAW GRIZZLED VETERAN CHAMPIONSHIP!
Back in the first year of LAW history (1952) and I wanted to utilize some guys I introduced in the first year but didnt really do anything. Opening battle royal is won by and our first champion is Ilio Dipalo. Throughout this first year he begins to wage war against the french angel Maurice Tillet. If you don't know either of these two guys, look them up there interesting characters. For most of the first year Tillet kept getting DQ'd in their battles. The year ended though in a brutal DDQ encounter. I was gonna end there but I was like I gotta play one more. First card of the next year we see the second ever cage match in my federation. A complete war and to my surprise Tillet was able to escape the cage and won the title!
I can't wait to see what happens next on this show and this feud. I am reading up on both of these guys and love the dice led me to this. Has this happened for you promoter? And with whom?

One I had early was Larry Zbyszko vs Drake Younger. It was supposed to be an easy win for Larry Z, but Younger pulled the win and beat him in two rematches. Fun times.

Had really never heard of Tillet until I saw his Filsinger games card, but I loved the art and thought he was one of those incredible wrestling personalities that are so interesting when I read more. Always interested too when the GCon veterans talk about travelling to DiPaolo's restaurant and that experience as well. Sounds like an awesome feud with some cool results.

I actually have been to his restaurant! I was at that Galacticon and I was really happy he is the first to hold this title as this show is set in Buffalo. I like right outside Batavia so maybe I’ll check it out again.

Well, I haven't rolled the dice in a bit but I've had an interesting feud grow out of crazy dice rolls the last time I played any cards: The Crusher has had a couple of matches with an incredible run of bad luck, losing to Al Snow in one move and then losing to "Mr. Electricity" Steve Regal in an embarrassing manner.
This is leading into a tag match between Crusher and his "surprise" partner Baron Von Rashke and the newly-named tag team of "Electric Head" (aka Snow & Regal).
I'm looking forward to seeing how it plays out.

The French Angel was a monster in my b&w fed, and I’d love a color version.
As for unlikely feuds, Duggan vs. Pesek was definitely one as I never planned anything. It’s like the two guys set out on their own to create the entire storyline.
Another was Baba vs. Turk. The two met in the finals of my World Title tournament, with Baba winning. Turk was never supposed to be a main heel, but the dice decided otherwise. Most matches ended in dq or countout, but one night was truly memorable. I was using someone’s Between Matches charts, and the two got into one heck of a brutal brawl. It ended with Baba tossing Turk’s manager, Abdullah Farouk, through the skybox window and into the audience. Eventually Baba won the feud, sadly a month before my big pov, but it was an interesting one.
