Yea I see that now. At first I thought episode 9 has simply answered my question then of course I saw the bigger story. This is NOT what I wanted when I mentioned a continuation of an episode. Hopefully this is just a season one thing, done maybe to help explain things in the next Spider-Man and Dr. Strange movies, and not something done in season two. I want the next season to be all stand alone stories.

Yeah it felt weird that season one connected, should have all just been stand alones cause that's what the comic is.

Shame...once again Marvel forces you to watch everything to understand the thing you want to watch.

See I actually like that about the universe Troy it feels like a comic book. I love the movies all connect to bigger things.
With that being said the What If series shouldn't have had an overall plot but connections to the movie like you saw with Captain Carter replaying the opening to Captain America 2. That was good but doing an overall plot arc doesnt really fit in the comic and here we are in season 1 and the watcher has already broke his oath, where do you go from there.

One reason I gave up on comics is the need to read every crossover comic. Still I can see why others like that.

For me the key is to make things enjoyable as stand alone but give extra enjoyment if you can connect dots due to having more knowledge. Not a great example but one would be Wanda and Visions Halloween costumes. If you are familiar with their history you get a kick out of them but if not it's no lose. Same thing with Monica Rambeau in the show. Doesn't matter if you saw Captain Marvel or read the comics. If you did it is a bit cooler but not needed. The bad side is when you kind of need to have seen the others. Like Legends of Tomorrow's crossover episodes.

Finally finished the last 2 episodes.
With the Multiverse coming up in so many other places around the MCU I believe this will somehow tie in with some of the upcoming movies & shows.

I think part of this series was done to expose newer fans to the concept as it comes up in the new Spider-Man movie. It also opens the possible return of characters there were killed off in the last Avengers.
