I had totally forgotten about this game, Pete! We didn't have it on our Nintendo but I loved going to friends' houses who did, as I got to run on the Power Pad.

I remember being awesome at the direction memory game on that, which was like Simon. Overall one of the most physically demanding video games I can remember enjoying.

(FULL DISCLOSURE: I may be just a smidge biased when it comes to the UT podcast....just a smidge... ) Fabulous episode men! I had the podcast on, while watching the PGA on mute, and rolling some bones on my latest card from Star Spangled Wrestling; a perfect Sunday afternoon if you ask me! Cory, great job of hosting; that kid's got a future fans! I played Street Fighter as well, as well as SEGA WWF (whatever that was called)...but you were definitely getting out of my wheelhouse with some of the more recent games (think I'd aged out! ) Tim, loved your arcade segment with the Student Union; I remember Student Unions...do they still have them I wonder, or are they a thing of the past?? And Strawberry Margheritas and beer just sounds....like strawberry margheritas and beer probably sounds. And hey...thanks for sending Denmark well wishes! Chad, I keep forgetting about your big angle where you were busted open with the belt! I've got to see that sometime! Also loved the unique perspective on not breaking kayfabe at GCon, hadn't even occurred to me. Very cool. I share a fair amount of your wrestling podcasts which you like (heck, you've told me about many of them), and that church podcast sounds very interesting. Great work gentlemen! I've gotta get on this show somehow...

Great episode as always. Thanks for the accolades on turning 1.
Instead of the video games question, I will answer another from the podcast.
I got into wrestling right after the first Wrestlemania and I heard some kids in my class talking about it because one of them went to it!
I started watching regularly and pretty much right from the start people in my family (Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles) were saying, "But you know it's fake, right?" So, I realized pretty on that it was BUT I felt a fierce need to defend it. I didn't know this at the time, but the 'it' being kayfabe. I knew it was fake, but I was all in on the characters and feuds. I got yelled at by a Hells Angel at the Cow Palace for standing during the Russian National Anthem. Another night the guy in the row in front of me (a grown adult) turned around and laughed when The Hart Foundation lost to The British Bulldogs (with Danny Davis as the ref).
Another time the 'it's not real' thing was driven home was when we were pulling into the Cow Palace and I looked out the back of my dad's bronco and there was Ted DiBiase and Virgil in the car behind us. I didn't wave or anything, just watched but then...VIRGIL BEGAN TALKING TO THE TED DIBIASE! It blew my mind! He never talked on TV!
One of my favorite things working with CWFH was seeing how into the kids got because that was me when I was a kid.
One weekend a few years ago Dave Marquez, Werner, Darren/Nitro, my friend Russ and I were in Atlantic City at a Stan Lee gig and Dave got us tickets to a WWE House show. the people sitting next to us had a kid, probably 8 or 10 years old and he was into it. Completely. The Main event was Randy Orton vs. Seth Rollins and the whole show this kid was non-stop Randy Orton. Main Event comes around, they announce Seth Rollins first and I just cheered big! This kid looked so betrayed! How could anyone like Seth Rollins?!
Randy Orton comes out, he goes nuts and I'm booing Orton like crazy. The whole match was so much fun, when Rollins would cheat, I would play it off like I didn't see anything. By the end of the match this kid was on fire! Orton won and this kid goes bananas! I'm yelling up and down how Orton must of cheated. And this kid is laughing and dancing and saying there's no way Orton would cheat. His parents are rolling! Such a fun night.
I think Dave Marquez has some of it on video because it was great.
Again, great episode!! Looking forward to the next.

I finished listening to this episode today.
Another good episode by the LOW team!
My answer for video games I played in the arcades during the late to mid-1980s include:
Karate Champ WWF Superstars Rampage Jail Break Star Wars: Return of the Jedi Rolling Thunder
those are the ones that I played alot that I can recall off the top of my head

If so, I had that on Super NES and loved it. It was way better than the very disappointing Super Wrestlemania game that had come out the year before. I was bummed that the Genesis Rumble had IRS and Rick Martel, while SNES didn't! Chad, I keep forgetting about your big angle where you were busted open with the belt! I've got to see that sometime! If you got to 1:21:26 of IPW's Live from The Vault! Episode 3 on Facebook, you can see the Hale Twins' heinous attack on poor Chad Olson! It was interesting to hear what wrestling podcasts you guys listen to, as they are totally different from the ones I listen to. I forget if it was Chad or Cory who used to listen some to Colt Cabana's podcast and knew he had a new format, but hadn't heard it yet. I would highly suggest it, its very snackable, maybe 30 minutes at most. The show is Wrestling Anonymous and he gets anonymous calls from people with stories associated with wrestling and wrestlers. Some wild stuff and Colt does a great job curating and commenting on it. Episode 7 from July 6th starts with a story about Virgil from Jamestown, NY!

I saw the recaps of his new show on his Website and thought it sounded interesting. I may have to listen sometime. Even though I'm not presently listening to his show, I always admired the time and effort Colt put into his podcast. He was way ahead of so many others in wrestling when it came to getting his name out there on his own!
