If this person is on the board trolling everyone, you got to admit it's pretty funny. They have gotten four pages out of it and counting. Tom is probably doing a sociological study on all of us...or one of his students. Very Colby of them I would say....I could see Justin Case having a laugh and pulling this off.

He ended it. Said the item was no longer available. Then reposted it for a more modest $199. Oh, Henry. What are you doing?

Price gouging is getting more common these days. The local bike shop said they'd sell me a used bike for $150 before lockdown. Now? $500!That's right: FIVE HUNDRED for a used bike. An increase of over 200%. Walmart sells new ones for $120 (when they are in stock). Another example: Paperback novels were $1.50 when I was in high school. Now? $25! See? -- www.barnesandnoble.com/w/star-trek-mirror-universe-rise-like-lions-david-mack/1109329097?ean=9781501107122That price shocked me because new video games have been only $60 for the last TEN years or so! I'm not about to pay $25 for a book I will read just one time and not be able to re-sell. Oh well. smh. Todd C WTIC I agree with you but they will say they lost money during covid lockdown . Here in UK I don't think you could buy a bike anywhere ? . Local bookshops were shut . Some supermarkets were selling a selected few (well known latest best seller books) . So they will of lost 12-18months worth of bills but still had bills to pay ? Lost alot of money . But are you going to buy the $500 probably not , look around somewhere else .

Yeah I saw a card for the Rock from a way old WWF vhs game they were claiming was his rookie card. ..... Uh...the Rocky Maivia card from the 1997 Cardinal Games WWF trivia card set (not a VHS game) is generally considered his rookie card. ....and I sold one for $150 last year when there was huge hype surrounding it (now people are after the 97 Panini sticker card as well, so collectors are split on the "hot" card). Source: I'm kind of an expert in this stuff. 👍😆

This guy has a 99% rating on eBay and appears to own a toy store full of wrestling stuff. Looks like a legit guy so maybe take it easy on him.

Hey I totally respect the guy. I'm contemplating putting some of my comics or football cards from the late 80s on there as I have Barry Sanders, Christian Okoye and others rookie cards. Maybe I'll throw them on there and see what i can get.

TBF, the prices on most of the seller's other items look decent. There are a certain number of items sellers can list for free per month and a mechanism called "easy pricing" where they can set the price high and then it gradually automatically drops over a time as it goes unsold. Some list items they don't know about high in hopes someone will bite and then let the price drop until they sell. I'd imagine this seller decided to just have fun because of the responses he was getting. It doesn't cost anything extra to jack the price up on a listing anymore and there are no insertion fees to lose for cancelling. (Not that ebay is being kind because they raised the fees on the back end on sold listings to more than make up for it).
