I thought it was a great PPV, but what will they ever do with all this talent?
Meanwhile,

I don’t watch wrestling today, but my friend messaged me and said you are going to have crazy YouTube numbers. Lol (and we’ve had crazy amount over the past month)

If I had spent $100 on that show it would habe earned every cent of it. Just an amazing all time great PPV from start to finish.

I enjoyed every moment. IMHO, I think every match had something good in it... even the battle royal. Now, if only they had my boy Q.T. go out like the hero he is.

The only people I could see crap on Punk's match are those that think YB/LB is the standard. I loved the pace of the Punk/Darby match so much. I find the majority of the YB/LB type matches to be WAY too fast. And it's not that the wrestlers themselves are moving fast, it's that they bounce from move to move to move so fast that none of them have any time to sell or give the impact of those moves any meaning. And on top of that, far too many of their superkicks, spin kicks, etc. look really weak. They just don't look like they connect or have much behind them. On the flip side, SO many of the moves delivered between Darby & Punk looked like killer blows. Even those simple elbows Darby hit Punk with when Punk was going for the G2S looked like KO shots. And Punk sold them like he was about to go out. So good. Sounds like their pacing was on point, and not too frenetic. Will need to catch this one!

From what I saw, this was a FANTASTIC pay-per-view. Saw the pre-show then missed the first 3 matches on the main card but have heard good things about them. From there on out, just wow.
The pre-show 10-man tag match was a lot of fun. Parts of it probably weren't for everyone but I enjoyed the throwback Chikara comedy spot.
Lucha-Bucks cage match was awesome and I'm not even a big YB fan. But I could watch this one again.
The Womens Battle Royal thing was fun and the end with Rosa and Ruby was very cool.
MJF-Jericho was great and I loved the finish. Thought it was well done and MJF was terrific with his facial expressions before he tapped.
Punk-Darby was phenomenal. Kind of a throwback match. No real crazy stuff though that Irish whip Darby took into the buckle was wild.
Paul Wight-QT was fine for what it was, a buffer between 2 of the bigger matches.
Christian-Omega was probably my 4th favorite match of the 7 that I watched but I still really enjoyed it. The post match with Cole and Bryan was even better and it was super cool to see both debuting back to back.
I will watch the whole thing in it's entirety tonight but this was the 1st PPV in a long time that I really enjoyed and it reminded me why I love wrestling.

Overall such a fun show and some great matches. Loved all the surprises, even if some were predicted. Still great how they introduced everyone. A few people who I know never bought an AEW PPV before got this one.
Really looking forward to seeing what matches I get in 2 weeks in Queens!

50 bucks was a steep price to pay but I'm glad I did as I really enjoyed the show. The Young Bucks-Lucha Brothers and CM Punk-Darby Allin are my picks for the best matches but aside from Wight-Marshall there was nothing really bad on the show. The Lucha Brothers finally winning the tag titles was a great moment and their ring entrance was killer. As much as I loved the debuts of Adam Cole and Bryan Danielson, and they were great, the best debut of the night for me was Minoru Suzuki. That was pretty unexpected and as much as I want to see it, since he already lost to Jon Moxley last year in New Japan, I figure he will lose to him again this Wednesday. I want to be wrong but with Dynamite in Cincinnati I don't see Moxley losing there. Prove me wrong, AEW This was not only my first time watching an AEW ppv but also my first time seeing a Casino Battle Royal. I'm not a big fan especially since the Joker, conveniently newcomer Ruby Soho, has a big advantage coming in after everyone else. Thunder Rosa was who I was pulling for so yeah not happy seeing Soho win her first night in. Also Riho was never eliminated as she went through the ropes and not over, unless I missed something. Anyway, this was a thumbs way up show for me.
