There is a saying about everyone is connected to everyone else by six degrees of separation. (More info here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Six_degrees_of_separation )
Well, I just found my "Six Degrees" connection with the late film critics Gene Siskel & Roger Ebert:
My best friend in middle school (Mark B.) had a classmate of his named Matt LaCroiux (sp? And I'm pretty sure his name was it was "Matt"). I had been to Matt's house once or twice, but Mark used to go to class with him (I am older than Mark, so I was not their classmate).
I used to watch Siskel & Ebert most of the time ever since they were on PBS, but I must have missed this episode since I don't remember it: The film critics answer questions that had been mailed into their studio, and one of the letters answered was from Matt's Mom! Wow! Here's the video clip:
