Was reading a rumor that Joe is fine but RAW & SMACKDOWN doctors by their definition wont clear him. That's why they originally cut him. NXT picked him up and HHH had other doctors clear him. Now Vince is back in charge of NXT he doesnt want Joe or trust he wont get hurt so he cut him so the new NXT can have a new champion.
Not sure how true that is but I could see that ...

The timing does seem very convenient. Vince wants to reboot NXT his way, and all of a sudden Joe is "injured"
