Uncharted Territory: Episode 48

Looking over my records I forgot how good the Greek Gods were. In my recollections they were the consummate runner up, but according to my old records where I develop a scoring system based on W/L and title wins/defenses:

1. Greek Gods - 17 Time Champions - 35 Defenses = 308 pts
2. Rush & Turmoil - 9 Time Champions - 27 Defenses = 225 pts
2. Brute & Massacre - 15 Time Champions - 30 Defenses = 225 pts
4. New Order - 13 Time Champions - 16 Defenses = 185 pts
5. Colonizer Empire - 8 Time Champions - 23 Defenses = 182 pts

This list seems way harder than the first one. For one, as a kid I threw together a lot of makeshift teams before I calmed down and started going more by the book. So honorable mention to Commander Sam and Actagon, The Soldiers Of Fortune. Also a shout-out to Bad Company, Pulsar and Lightening.

In no particular order, my all time great teams would have to be: New Order, Greek Gods, and about a three way Gladiator tie between Brute and Massacre, Thunder and Overkill, and Paralyze and Rage.

Yeah, those Gladiators know tag team wrestling. Almost like their entire race was based off of the greatest tag team in the history of the universe or something.
Oh, What a rush to be an Aethran.

Honestly, I don't know how you guys can limit this to five...Oh wait, you didn't!!!! BUT, I am sure I wouldn't have been able to either!

I was laughing at each round of honorable mentions!

Pete, as others have said, I think limiting the list to five for the tag teams was much harder than the singles! Every time one of the other guys mentioned another team, it reminded the rest of us how much we loved that team!

You guys make my telework Fridays so much fun! I was dying every time I heard "honorable mention". If I weren't working I could have turned it into a a solid drinking game --> one shot for every honorable mention!

From those above time periods, these are my personal top 5 COTG tag teams:

1. Rush and Turmoil, 32 shows as champions including 1 Omega Memorial Cup

2. Predators, 30 shows as champions including 2 Omega Memorial Cups

3. Brute and Massacre, 25 shows as champions, they will probably add to this total as I am only in 2090 and they have many years remaining together

4. Castilex, 25 shows as champions including 1 Omega Memorial Cup, they can also add to this total as they are still active and very good in 2136

5. Fraternity, 19 shows and counting as they are my current ROC Tag Team Champions in my Ring of Centra fed, in fact they have been the only ROC Tag Team Champions so far

honorable mention: Sur and Bex just missed this list with 18 shows as champions but they do have a record 3 Omega Memorial Cups

I think Chad's idea of doing honorable mentions after each round was great so, in addition to my overall top 5 which I listed above and quoted here, I want to include my 5 honorable mentions:

Sur and Bex, just missed the top 5 as they were champions for 18 shows while #5 Fratenrity has been champions for 19 shows

Greek Gods, 2 time ROV Tag Team Champions and 1 time IP Tag Team Champions and I am only in 2090 in that chapter of my fed

Ultimate Fighters, 3 time ROV Tag Team Champions which is currently tied for 2nd most ROV Tag Team Championship reigns

Space Croppers, both my first-ever ROV Tag Team Champions and my first-ever IP Tag Team Champions

Titan Samurai, have won both the ROV Tag Team Championship and the Omega Memorial Cup
