Yeah I find it pointless Cody winning, unless he is going to break the stipulation and challenge for the aew title.
No doubt he will beat Andrade or do the winn then loss or loss then win again.

Atleast with Punk, yes he is winning but he's over and he was putting on great matches with young talent. Cody is the complete opposite. What does Black gain from losing to Cody?

Feel winter is coming was a bit lackluster. Considering these "specials" and previous ones this one just felt a bit flat. Having them hype up TK announcing a massive tag match just for it to be a trios match next week announced via a on screen graphic felt like a let down.
Given what went down at ROH I was expecting a briscoe appearance or some kind of tease for a new signing since TK had been saying these upcoming specials are going to be memorable and there is plenty of big suprises.

Dont get me wrong Hangman vs Danielson was great but I kinda expected more from this episode

It's hard to complain about a TV show where half the show is taken up by one match and that match is that good. ****3/4-ish if you're into star ratings.

It does look like we're getting Kyle O'Reilly next week (as Adam Cole's Christmas surprise) and the Malakai teaser appears to be for Brody King.

Much as I love AEW, I wasn’t very thrilled with the Page-Danielson match. Some great action and sensible spots, but I felt like there really was only one way it could end (which happened), and I also didn’t love the announcers trying to push how prestigious this match would make the AEW title regardless of the outcome. I understand that is their job, but I should have been feeling that and screaming for a can’t-miss rematch if all that was true and never got there. After some great tv with Dragon taking out the Dark Order and enjoying Punk and MJFs antics over the last few weeks, this one left me a little flat despite the great talent. Don’t know if anybody else had that same feeling about the match.
