Chapter 21
Massif looked over the numbers. The crowd and the viewership for the Final Conflict were the best in a longtime. What wasn’t so good was damage done to the arena, wrestlers, and ring. That was not to mention the sight of all the blood shed. Things worked out, for most everyone, maybe not Thantos. One can argue that he got what he deserved. Since Wildcat Wilkins was no show for nearly a month, he was demoted and BIlly South was made head matchmaker. Vidtek was also hired to cover press conferences and breaking news in the GWF.
Thantos was gone. Payback (2 weeks), Tristan (4 weeks), and Tanck (4 weeks) had not been cleared to return to the ring. Vin Strutter was gone. As predicted by Wildkat, Massif would regret letting Paralyze and Havoc go. Speaking of Wilkins, where was he? That was always the problem with him, always running off to solve some sort of a mystery. He called up Developmental and asked them to send Plethador back up for a few more matches.
Card 21 Battle Zone taping 1 Dragon Master and Vanity play up a big announcement by Lorelei, as well as a rematch for the Galactic Women Title. They talk about the injuries to the wrestlers during The Final Conflict.
Plethador returns temporarily to take on a rookie Gryt. Plethador hopes to impress Commissioner Massif and stay in the GWF. It does not happen tonight Gryt takes down Plethador after a falling fist from the top turnbuckle.
Lorelei comes out and thanks their fans for their support. She then thanks Lord Nexus for believing in her and giving her the best job in the GWF, but she has to step down. She wants to concentrate on what is left of her ring career and a few other things. She will still come second anyone that feels they need her, but her days as manager of the FDF is over.
The Guardians try to bounce back from their loss against the returning Center Stage, without Vin Strutter. It’s a win, but not like they wanted. Steele Freak is disqualified for using a steel chair on Valour.
Switchblade, seconded by his mother, Lorelei, takes on The Betrayer. Betrayer steps up in competition and has major problems. He does manage to fight off Switchblade, who has trouble hitting the Blade of Retribution. Blade hits it on his second attempt and picks up the 3 count.
For the Galactic Women Championship: Phantasy is able to reclaim the title in a hard fought bout. It was the Troubleshooter Press Slam that finished Latasha.
Battle Zone Taping 2 Dragon Master and Vanity discuss the title changes, and how Phantasy managed to retook her belt back. Also Commissioner Massif will decide the fates of the wrestlers that attacked Thantos and put him out. The go to the ring
Shann-Ra takes on Thrash. Thrash pulls off the win after back to back Femme Fatal. Big Bertha comes down. She and Shann-Ra hit a double clothesline. Shann-Ra then hits the Machete, followed with the Trailer Park Pounce. Lorelei runs down with Latasha for the save. Thrash is hurt for 5 weeks.
Battle Zone Championship: Tauren defeats Kill Prey by count out, Kill Prey retains the title.
Massif steps into the ring and calls out Sly Drury, Epoch, Slave Beast, and Encubus. The tape of the attack on Thantos is played. Massif is disturbed at the viciousness of it. He reports that Thantos is recovering, but may have suffered lasting effects from his broken leg. He has come here to hand out punishment for the attack. Encubus is first. Encubus is gone for 4 cards and is stripped of the Interplanetary Title. Slave Beast is gone for 2 cards. Epoch is gone for Epoch is suspended 3 cards. Sly Drury is suspended for 4 cards as well.
It’s the Intergender Tag Champs taking on the Galactic Tag Champs in non title action. The Troubleshooters win a hard fought contest over the Animen. Muss picks up the pin on Antak after the Double Phantasy as the taping ends.
Main Event Disaster tells Bloodline before the match that The Gladiators were no part of what happened to Thantos, in fact, they have taken an oath to avenge Thantos, since Thantos managed the original Gladiators. Bloodline wins the match when it has finally started. He pinned Disaster with the Cosmic Big Bang.
Widkat, Paralyze and Havoc arrived just as the match was ending. He told Massif that Drury was going to get rid of Thantos and use Encubus to do it. Massif said he was a little late with the news and real late doing his job. Wildkat explained they had been captured and that Encubus had been brainwashed. Massif asked who did it. It came as no surprise that it was Mesmer. What is Sly Drury’s connection to Mesmer and how is Mesmer mixed up in all this? Massif told Wildkat he was no longer the booker, which disappointed him, but he understood it. Massif sat back smiling. He created a new section in security that Wildkat would head. His job was to investigate any trouble that happens in the GWF. Paralyze and Havoc were signed to new contracts.
Lorelei dropped a bombshell tonight by leaving the FDF. The Sly Drury and his compatriots found out their punishment for the Thantos Matter. For Being short handed. Massif and Billy South put together a decent show. Payback should be back next time. Speaking of next time, Massif is going to have to pull another rabbit out of his hat to put the event together.
Epoch paced back and forth. Epoch: “I thought we were going to take over this place. Instead, we are suspended.” Sly sat back. Sly: “Revolutions are built on moments. Taking out Thantos was just the first moment. We will build on it at the appropriate time. I need someone that can stick this out for the long game. I hope I didn’t choose the wrong man.” Epoch: “No, of course not, I just want to know the next ‘moment’.”
GWF Tour Phobus Sundome Mars Card 22 Reckless defeats Scimitar with the Flying Hazard. Latasha defeats Shann-Ra with the Freedom Fall. An injured Payback defeats Gryt with the Exvenge. Reckless reverses a flying cross body block to pin The Betrayer. Genesis defeats The Troubleshooters, with Phantasy. Anivar hits the Full Nelson Drop to pin Muss.

Chapter 22 Omega summoned Wildkat over for a family pow-wow. Star Warrior was there, so was, amazingly, Thantos, and of course Omega. Wildkat filled him in on what he learned. That Sly Drury at some point during the closure had hooked up with Mesmer. He didn’t find out how or why, but it can’t be good. Thantos asked what Encubus had to do with it. Encubus was used to get Thantos out of the way. The question is how far up does Sly want to go and what will he do to get there.
Card 23 Battle Zone (taping 1) Reckless and Scimitar face off. Scimitar scores a near pin over Reckless after a ddt, then takes the match to the outside of the ring. The two get into a wild brawl and Reckless is disqualified. Scimitar wins his first match!
Next, Latasha tries to work her way back up to a title match by taking on Big Bertha. Bertha proves too much for her this time around. After crushing her in the corner, Bertha body slams Latasha, climbs to the second rope and hits the Trailer Park Pounce. Bertha scores a win as Latasha has to be helped out of the ring.
Paralyze and Havoc return and get that elusive first win of 2020. They defeat the team of The Betrayer and Gyrt. Havoc scores the pin on The Betrayer after Fallen Dreams. Paralyze grabs the microphone and calls out Epoch, Encubus and Sly Drury. The last month has been tough on the Gladiators and they blame them. Now, it’s time the Gladiators bust some heads.
Phantasy easily defeats She Devil in a non Title match with the Sweet Suicide to end the first taping.
Battle Zone Taping 2 The show starts off with an interview from Cetus with new announcer, Vidtek. Thantos is recovering from what happened. He is distraught that his own son would turn on him like that, history repeating itself he admits, remembering his turning on Omega. He did say that this has brought him and Omega closer together. As for his future? Thantos doesn’t know. It was a tough year for him, even before betrayal. Perhaps it’s time for him to do something else once he recovers or he just might come back to get Sly Drury, who he blames.
Battle Zone Championship: Kill Prey has a tough defense, but does manage to wear Minotaur down. He finishes him with the Ambush.
Massif announces that next week will be the tournament for the Interplanetary Championship. Sly Drury, Epoch and Encubus, will be banned from competing for the belt.
Shann-Ra wins a hard fought victory over Lorelei. She catches Lorelei with the Machete.
The show ends with Steele Freak taking on Swarm. Freak batters him outside the ring and rolls him back in. Freak finishes him with the Frenzied Head Slams.
Main Event Payback defeats Tanck with a suicide moonsault. Payback leaves a bloody mess.
Sly and Epoch meet about Epoch’s special project now that Paralyze and Havoc are back. Getting rid of Thantos was the first step. The Gladiators were the bigger threat now. Epoch promised everything was on schedule. The Dark Menace would not let them down. The Gladiators will be destroyed. Epoch was concerned with Wildkat involving himself in their plans. Drury said he would gladly take care of that problem himself.
Tranquility Base Lunar Arena Earth’s Moon Card 24 Steele Freak defeats Plethador with the Frenzied Head slams in a hard fought contest where Plethador becomes dehydrated. She Devil defeats Shann-Ra with the Cannonball Catapult. The Animen (Swarm/Minotaur) defeat Stars-N-Stripes. Swarm hits the Andromeda Drop to pin American Guy.
