This is not 100% yet but in December I might be making my first trip to Germany to visit my sister who teaches in Frankfurt.
I know we have some people from Germany on this board. If I indeed can make this trip, what are some things you recommend I see in the Frankfurt area?

It now looks like I will definitely be in Germany for 2-3 days in December before going to Portugal for Christmas.

I am tired as Hell but I have made it to Germany which is the 5th European country I have been to in addition to The Netherlands, UK, Belgium, and Portugal.
I just made my daily fed post and am about to go to dinner to get some German food and beer.

Germany is about 8 hours ahead of you, timezone-wise. Catch up on your sleep if you can, while you adjust to the time change! But most importantly: Play and post! It'd be a shame to break your posting streak now!    In other words: Don't drink ALL the beer, LOL! Todd C WTIC |

At home these day I normally drink non-alcoholic beer (so mostly I don't drink alcohol anymore.) But I make exceptions when I am on vacation and I had a few German beers tonight that I thought were really good. I made a cultural fopaw tonight at dinner in Frankfurt. I ordered their local sausage dinner but some of the German staff laughed at me when I put ketchup on my sausage as I later found out normally the Germans apparently prefer to put mustard instead on their sausage. I am glad I got this opportunity to go to Germany (my sister lives and teaches in Frankfurt) at least for a couple of days before I go to Portugal to spend Christmas again at my parents' home. |

I am back home now from visiting Germany and Portugal.
Right now it looks like I will be returning to Germany next year but going to Berlin instead of to Frankfurt.
It has been a long day. I woke up in Lisbon, ate lunch in London (connecting flight,) and am now home in Las Vegas.
I am going to make my daily fed post and then get some sleep.
