This idea has been taking root in my brain for awhile now and I think having the chance to talk about it out loud with Sam Fain and Tournament Master on the latest episode of Roll Up kinda helped me clear that last hurdle to get this fed running... - Despite a valiant effort, Saboteur was unable to gain any traction against the Aethran's blistering offense.

- The animosity between these two competitors quickly reached a fever pitch as they started trading blows before even entering the ring.

- Skull pinned Raven <snake eyes> after a reverse suplex. -- Tokens: Raven 1
- Using the ropes for additional leverage, Skull managed to keep Raven down just long enough to steal an upset victory.

- Matador pinned Sam after a BULLWHIP. -- Tokens: Matador 1 - Sam 2
- Following a hard fought encounter, Matador and Sam shook hands as a sign of mutual respect.

- Both competitors survived multiple close calls in this seesaw battle.
CALAMITY def. Lord Nexus in a tournament opening round match. ****
- Calamity pinned Nexus after a diving knee to knee strike. -- Tokens: Calamity 4 - Nexus 3
- This was a memorable conflict between natural enemies. Nexus suffered a nasty bump when he missed a suicide dive and Calamity capitalized on the opportunity.
VENGEANCE def. Iron Mane in a tournament opening round match. **
- Vengeance pinned Mane after an AETHRAN MASSACRE. -- Tokens: Vengeance 5 - Mane 1
- Although he dominated the majority of the action, Mane failed to put Vengeance away when he had the chance. Reversing a whip into the ringside guardrail, Vengeance brought Mane's momentum to an immediate halt. After the bell, Vengeance used his own blood as warpaint.

- Vyper tapped out Queen with an ANACONDA VICE. -- Tokens: Queen 8
- Bleeding heavily from a gash on his head, Queen somehow managed to avoid defeat until he dropped from sheer exhaustion.
MANDRILL def. Buck Steele in a tournament opening round match. dud
- Mandrill pinned Steele after a SIMIAN SKULLCRUSHER. -- Tokens: n/a
- Coming in hot, Steele tried to keep Mandrill off balance with some high impact offense. Mandrill shrugged off the blows and put Steele away with relative ease. Denied their chance to see Genocide in action, the fans voiced their displeasure with the outcome.
WOLF def. Necros in a tournament opening round match. ****1/2
- Wolf pinned Necros after a Wolf Skullcrusher. -- Tokens: Wolf 3 - Necros 7
- With relentless determination, both competitors endured some stiff punishment in this epic encounter. Using fangs and claws to draw the vampire's blood, Wolf unleashed a howl to celebrate his thrilling triumph.

- Force pinned Calamity after a smash with a metal pipe. -- Tokens: Force 1 - Calamity 2
- Squandering his advantage, Calamity wasted valuable time so he could taunt the crowd. Force made him regret his lack of focus.

- Vyper tapped out Vengeance with an ANACONDA VICE. -- Tokens: Vyper 1 - Vengeance 4
- This contest moved at a measured pace as both men tried to execute each move with caution. Vengeance tried using threats and insults to trick Vyper into losing his composure, but failed.

- Wolf pinned Mandrill after a Wolf Skullcrusher. -- Tokens: Mandrill 3
- Rushing the ring, Wolf attacked with reckless abandon and made short work of Mandrill.
