So I dont usually like asking for help but I havent ever really had to look for work.
Currently been with current job almost ten years, we deal in student loan collections and I am currently "running" the analytics department by myself. Before COVID they had three people who struggled with three lines of business and heres me with six by myself.
I'm on LinkedIn, zip recruiter, indeed ... anyone have any advice for someone who hasnt really had to look. Trying to get into analytics realizing I'm underpaid for what I'm doing now.

Analytics folks like us are in pretty high demand these days, so a good time to look for sure.
Honestly the best way to get in is to know what company you want to work for that you have contacts in. Nearly every job I have ever had has been though a contact. Not what you know but who...
Also hopefully your SQL and Tableau skills are good, R and Python would be nice too, because having those skills on hand already are a huge plus for employers.

I am proficient in SQL, Python, Excel and Power Bi. Been awhile since using tableau.
But like today I am creating reports off a database that another company created 10 years ago for a line of business and I cant pull the data I need because they dont have fields for it created cause they didnt need them ten years ago. But I'm also doing/running 12 queries, running python scripts, updating a power bi for four lines of business and getting ready to do incentives next week for 1000 employees on five different contracts.
I would love to work remote and been applying to stuff like crazy online but my one weakness has been networking. I feel that's the only real way to get in now a days and I dont really know people here in western ny.

You guys are speaking Greek to me. But I would suggest if trying to network to help get leads on job openings maybe see if there are trade groups in your area or even a Facebook, or whatever it is going to be called soon, group that might be for analytic people in your part of the state.

After talking with some friends I changed up my resume and got an interview which before it ended they had already scheduled a second. Just finished the second but not sure, I don't like or struggle reading other people especially over the phone. Trying to keep hope in check, sounds like an amazing opportunity so here's hoping.

All you can do is give your best. Be it in an interview or on the job. Know your value and ability. If you know you are doing your best and you bring value to any position then the people interviewing will probably see that and want you for their company. Good luck.
