I’m trying to think of reasons for an impromptu title match outside of cashing in a money in the bank. Anyone has any reasons a wrestler would have to defend his title in back to back matches? Thanks!

A heated rival returns? Someone the champ can’t stand and they will gladly put the title on the line to get their hands on them.
Also a commissioner punishing the Champ for breaking the rules at another point and makes them defend on the spur of the moment.
