7/28/81 - Card #78
Gorilla Typhoon: Welcome to Jackson, MS and The Show. We are one week away from crowning our first ever RCW TV Champion. That does not mean we do not have some great wrestling action for you tonight.
KC: You said it Gorilla. American Heroes try and avenge an upset loss to The Mulkeys, Colbalt Commander is back for the first time in quite a while and the World Champion, Dude Brohan will be in action.
Gorilla Typhoon: Plus, we will hear from the two men who will battle to become the first ever RCW TV Champion on next week's show. For now, let's go to the ring.
The Mulkeys vs American Heroes
Randy started for his team against Danger Zone. It was all Danger Zone as he worked Randy over before tagging out to his partner. Warhawk came in and made short work of his opponent. A First Blood put Randy away.
Winner: American Heroes via pinfall (*)
American Heroes were embarred by losing to The Mulkeys a few weeks back. This match makes up for it. Danger Zone asks for a microphone.
Danger Zone: Shop of Horrors, you laughed at us for losing to The Mulkeys. You have gotten the better of us recently. Well, me and Warhawk have refocused. We are back on top of our game. Let's do the damn thing one more time.
--- commercials including promotions for a few new cartoons joining the Saturday morning lineup in just over a month ---
Colbalt Commander vs Hammerhead
Hammerhead starts the match by shoving Colbalt across the ring onto his back. Colbalt gets to his feet and stands there. Hammerhead tries to stare him down but Colbalt shows no reaction. He looks like a statue. Hammerhead seems to be confused. He waves his hand in front of Colbalt's face but there is no acknowledgement from Colbalt. Hammerhead turns to the referee as if looking for an answer or idea of what to do next. He turns to the crowd and thus does not see Colbalt finally move. The Commander scoops up Hammerhead and hits a body slam. Then he reaches into his trunks out of sight of the referee. A handful of Poison Powder and then Colbalt makes the pin.
Winner: Colbalt Commander by pinfall (*)
Before leaving the ring Colbalt Commander reaches into his trunks and pulls out what appears to be a note. He leaves it on Hammerhead's chest as the Russian lays on the mat.
The Pirahna is in the interview area. He says RCW keeps holding him back from being able to win gold. But next week they will not be able to stop him anymore than the Mad Arab will. Because "be it land or be it see, there is no one quite like me". Then he makes the belt gesture at his waist.
--- commercials ---
The Mad Arab and The Thinker are in the interview area.
The Thinker: Look at this man behind me. (Mad Arab is walking back and forth, a crazed look on his face as he mumbles to himself) He is out of his mind. He is the most dangerous man in RCW. Pirahna, you think you can beat him. I do not think so and all I do is think. At the end of the main event next week, I will have championship gold in my camp again and my man Mad Arab will be enjoying a fish fry.
Dude Brohan vs Jobber Joe in a non-title match
KC points out that T.A. Templeton is not with Jobber Joe. Word is that he is attending a hair stylist convention. Jobber Joe got in the first couple moves but they do not faze Dude. Then Dude is rolling. He uses his fists, body slams and his big boot to take the fight out of Jobber Joe. Dude Brohan bounces off the ropes and drops a Big Bro Leg Drop. That is all she wrote.
Winner: Dude Brohan via pinfall (*)
As Dude Brohan is doing his surfing poses in the ring someone is seen sneaking down to the ring. It is T.A. Templeton. He slides in the ring and tries to attack Dude Brohan from behind but Dude turns around and holds out his arm and points his finger up into the air causing Templeton to stop. Dude slowly wiggles it back and forth then his cheeks puff out. He points at Templeton and lets out a loud "you". Templeton is waving his hands back and forth in front of himself as he says "no" over and over. But it does no good as Dude grabs his head with a left and nails him with rights. A toss into the ropes, a big boot and then a Big Bro Leg Drop. The crowd is eating up as they yell their approval, especially the kids. More surfer poses as the show ends.

8/4/81 Shreveport, LA - Card #79
Gorilla Typhoon: Welcome to Shreveport, LA and this is The Show. Tonight, we crown the first ever RCW TV champion. Who will win the TV Title?
KC "The Bod": My money is on Mad Arab. Either him or The Pirahna.
Gorilla Typhoon: Way to go out on a limb there, KC. Let's go to the ring for our opening match between Star Boy and Jesse Wild.
Star Boy vs Jesse Wild
Two of the young stars of RCW went toe to toe and had a really good match. For a while it seemed no one was going to get over the other as it was move, counter, move, counter. Over and over. Finally, Star Boy broke thru and after stringing some offense together he used frankensteiner to pick up the W.
Winner: Star Boy via pinfall (***)
--- commercials including ones from the Tourism Bureau of Shreveport and New Orleans ---
Gorilla Typhoon: Good news on the Lazer front. He has been cleared to wrestle and will be in action next week. The bad news is he will be defending his USA Championship against the Six Million Pound Man.
The Thrashers vs Pumpkin Patch Kids w/Princess Starbright
Frightmare was all over Dizzy Lixx from the opening bell. He almost got the pin after a couple minutes. He then tagged in Hallowicked who went for the throat by rocking Dizzy with Yakuza Kick. He made the cover and pin.
Winner: Pumpkin Patch Kids by pinfall (*)
Hammerhead is sitting in his locker room. He looks unhappy as he is reading a note. It appears the note is the one that Cobalt Commander placed on his body after their match on the last Show.
--- commercials ---
A video package that looks at highlights of the TV Title Tournament. All leading to our main event to crown the first TV champion.
Mad Arab w/The Thinker vs The Pirahna in the TV Title Tournament Final
When Mad Arab and The Thinker made their way to the ring The Thinker was carrying a bottle of tartar sauce and a lemon. He was showing it to the fans at ringside as he laughed. The fans booed him while The Pirahna was not amused. The match was fairly even for a few minutes then Mad Arab started to overpower The Pirahna. After a couple unsuccessful pin attempts Mad Arab hit a kick to face and rolled The Pirahna up. When the referee made the third count The Thinker jumped so high it looked like he would land on the apron.
Winner: Mad Arab via pinfall to become the first TV Title champion (**)
The Thinker rushes over to the announcer's desk, grabbed the TV Title belt as fast as he could and then entered the ring. He was like a kid on Christmas morning. He put the belt around Mad Arab's waist. Then the two men left. The Pirahna was sitting in the corner looking defeated. As he got up to leave some fans cheered him. He stopped, looking confused. He turned in a circle staring toward the fans. He was not sure what was happening as he probably never had anyone cheer for him before. He gave a slight wave to the fans and then quickly took off toward the back.

8/11/81 Little Rock, AR - Card #80
Gorilla Typhoon: Welcome to Little Rock and The Show. Lazer will be defending his USA title in our main event against Six Million Pound Man. Savings And Loan, Arizona Chance and Johnny Kobra will all be in action as well.
KC: The Six Million Pound Man is about to get richer with the gold title.
Gorilla Typhoon: We will find out later tonight if you are right. Let's go the ring for our first match of the night.
KC: What do you mean Typhoon? I am always right.
Arizona Chance vs Johnny Kobra w/Mr. Bonsai
A good match that saw the men lock up and battle for control over the first couple minutes. Arizona was the one to gain it and made a pin attempt. Momentum swung when the two men brawled on the floor. In the ring Johnny Kobra used his martial arts to put Chance in trouble. Johnny hit his finisher a couple times. The first one almost earned him the win. The second was not as close as a call. Then it was the archeologist who fought back. He hit his finisher and went for the pin. That brought Mr. Bonsai into the ring. He went for a crane kick but Chance pushed Johnny in front of him and Mr. Bonsai connected his blow on Johnny. It looked like he might have knocked Johnny out. Arizona made the pin.
Winner: Arizona Chance via pinfall (***)
--- commercials including ones for some new shows starting this fall, including The People's Court, The Fall Guy and Simon & Simon plus 2nd seasons of Hill Street Blues and Dynasty---
Shop of Horrors, Gothica, The Gargoyle and Skullgore are in the interview area.
Keith Blood: The American Heroes want another match with me and my main man Slashmaster. Yea, I don't think so. We have beaten you so many times I have lost count.
Gothica: That is right. Besides, we have bigger things to focus on. I have arranged for Shop of Horrors to get a World Tag Team championship on the next Show.
Skullgore: They will win the titles too.
The Gargoyle: Yes, they will.
Then Keith looks at Skullgore and The Gargoyle. After a bit he smiles, letting his fangs be seen.
Keith Blood: Thanks for the support, guys.
A grunt from Slashmaster shocks everyone.
Savings And Loan w/Big Banker Jr vs Bug Buster and Rad Racer
A short match that saw Bug Buster put the hurt on Fred for a minute or so then slap on Exterminator and Fred quickly tapped.
Winner: Bug Buster and Rad Racer by submission (*)
--- commercials including for The Show making a trip to the Northwest by coming to Seattle, WA next week, Portland, OR the next, Denver, CO after that and then Salt Lake City, UT ---
The set for Beauty Salon is on a side stage.
Jobber Joe: Welcome to your favorite interview show, Beauty Salon. I am your loveable side kick Jobber Joe, and he is your most worshiped and attractive host, T.A. Templeton.
T.A. Templeton: I pretty, fool.
Jobber Joe: Now, it is time for our guest. Give a warm welcome to Dark Invader.
The evil entrance music plays and out walks Dark Invader.
Jobber Joe: Welcome Dark Invader. Recently you have struggled in your matches. What is going on big guy?
The hand of Dark Invader reaches out and Jobber Joe starts to choke.
Dark Invader: I find your lack of support disturbing.
Jobber Joe: Excuse me about that. I had a tickle in my throat. (He grabs a bottle or water and takes a drink). It is not a matter of lack of faith. I am just stating the facts. I am sorry but I expect more from a powerful force like you.
Dark Invader: Hmm I guess you are correct. Well, I plan on striking back against the locker room. I have talked to Emperor Greenhorn, and he will be giving me matches over the next few weeks so I can work my way to the top where I belong. Then I will crush a champion and take their title belt.
Lazer vs Six Million Pound Man w/Lord Vincent Hendrix for the USA Heavyweight Championship
The two battled for a while with neither man getting much of an advantage. The match spilled out to the floor where the two fought. Six Million Pound Man tossed Lazer back first into the ring then followed up with a splash. He rolled into the ring and as the referee was instructing him about fighting on the floor, he walked around to position the referee's back to the side where Lazer was. That allowed Lord Vincent to attack Lazer before tossing him into the ring. A cover and kick out. It took a minute but Lazer started to fight back. He applied Lazerlock in the middle of the ring. Lord Vincent got in the ring and the referee went to get him to leave. Lord Vincent pushed the referee causing him to turn to the side. When that happened, the referee saw Six Million Pound Man tapping and he called for the bell.
Winner: Lazer via submission to retain (**)

8/18/81 Seattle, WA - Card #81
Gorilla Typhoon: Welcome to The Show as we are live in beautiful Seattle, WA.
KC: How can you tell if it is beautiful Gorilla? It rains all the time.
Gorilla Typhoon: Stop it KC. It does not rain all the time. Just most of the time. But I digress. We have a great show for you tonight. Dark Invader starts his return to greatness. He hopes to be able to strike back at all of his critiques. Star Boy faces Chet Skye and in our main event Road Demolition face off against Shop of Horrors for the RCW World Tag Team Championship.
KC: Well, let's get to it Gorilla shall we. What are we waiting for, the rain to stop?
Dark Invader vs Jobber Joe w/T.A. Templeton
This looked like it was going to be a short affair as Dark Invader had Jobber Joe in trouble from the opening bell. When the match ended up on the floor Dark Invader chased Jobber Joe who ended up hiding behind T.A. Templeton who was faning himself. Invader tried to go thru Templeton to get Joe and Templeton got outraged and shoved Invader onto his backside. Jobber Joe saw his opening and hit a diving clothesline on Invader. Joe and Templeton lifted Invader and rolled him into the ring. Jobber Joe was able to get on an offensive roll against Invader. He did not attempt a cover which was a mistake. Soon Invader fought back and his fourth Choke Lift of the match let him get the pin.
Winner: Dark Invader by pinfall (**)
A promo video from Hammerhead.
Hammerhead: I got your note Space Monkey. I understand that Mother Russia is not happy with me. Too bad. I live in the America now and the KGB will have to live with it. I am not returning to Russia. I do not want to face you in a match again but if that is what must happen then so be it. You can try and beat me into submission, but it will not happen. Nyet.
--- commercials including for a news special on the firing of over 11,000 American air-traffic controllers by President Reagan ---
Star Boy vs Chet Skye
The former two-time World Tag Team champion Star Boy was a force of nature against the former All-Night Rocking Express member. Star Boy did not let Chet get anything going. A series of Flying Cross Chops led to Star Boy picking up an impressive victory.
Winner: Star Boy via pinfall (*)
--- commercials ---
The Thinker is in GM Mr. Greenhorn's office and is trying to convince him that the best thing for ratings is Jet Set Sutter as World Champion and that will only happen if Mr. Greenhorn grants Jet Set a title match against that beach bum Dude Brohan.
Road Demolition vs Shop of Horrors w/Gothica
A really good match that saw the champs soften Keith Blood with a spiked piledriver. Then Blood tagged out and Slashmaster came in and was a monster. He used a finisher on Hawkish but Hawkish kicked out. After doing some more damage Slashmaster tagged back out. After a few minutes of good tag action Road Demolition hit Destruction Device on Keith Blood. Slashmaster came in to try and stop the pin but Hawkish blocked him as Aximal made the cover.
Winner: Road Demolition by pinfall to retain (***)

Great show! I haven’t played the 80’s Mania game but reading your results makes me want to give it a shot.
As someone who lives in the Pacific Northwest I got a good chuckle of that exchange between Gorilla & KC. It’s funny because it’s true.😂

Not saying they will do it this year but last year they had a good deal on all the sets and the bonus four cards. So, I got every 80s Mania card at the same time and at a really good price.

8/25/81 Portland, OR - Card #82
Gorilla Typhoon: Welcome to Portland, OR. This is The Show. We have a great one for you tonight. Dark Invader and Jet Set Strutter will be in action plus we have a match between former tag partners when Hammerhead takes on Space Monkey.
KC: Hammerhead came to his senses and defected from the Communist Soviet Union and joined the good old U S of A. Tonight he needs to spank...
Gorilla Typhoon: Stop KC. Don't say it for goodness' sake. Let's go to the ring for our opening match.
Dark Invader vs Randy Mulkey
An impressive outing for Dark Invader even if not against the best of competition. He battered Randy from pillar to post. Then he used a Choke Lift to finish him off.
Winner: Dark Invader via pinfall (*)
Arizona Chance walked out to the ring and asked for a microphone. He said he wants to be a champion. He wants to face Lazer for the USA Championship. He has tried to talk to GM Mr. Greenhorn but every time he went to his office Mr. Greenhorn was in a meeting with The Thinker. He wants an answer. Tonight.
--- commercials including for The Show coming to Denver, Salt Lake City and Las Vegas ---
Inside his office GM Mr. Greenhorn is sitting behind his desk.
Mr. Greenhorn: I hear Arizona Chance has been trying to get a meeting with me but I have been busy. I do apologize. Gee, this job sure keeps me busy. I have given it consideration and have come up with this idea. Arizona Chance will have a match on the next The Show against former USA Champion Skullgore. The winner of that match will get to face Lazer in a title match. Good luck to both of you boys. I will be making another announcement later tonight so keep watching everybody.
He then smiles and waves toward the camera.
Gorilla Typhoon: That is big news. Next week we will be in Denver, CO and we will see that #1 Contender match. However, it will not be our main event as that has already been set. The main event will be Mad Arab defending his TV Title against the man he beat for it, The Pirahna.
KC: What a waste of time. Mad Arab already beat that goldfish. Mad Arab should just hand The Pirahna to The Thinker to use as bait the next time The Thinker goes fishing on his yacht Monsoon.
Gorilla Monsoon: Give me a break KC.
Hammerhead vs Space Monkey
Hammerhead was pumped up for this match. He rushed at Space Monkey which gave him an early advantage but then his rage allowed Space Monkey to counter Hammerhead's offense. Space Monkey was flying around the ring and had Hammerhead in trouble. Hammerhead is a tough man so he rode out the onslaught then was able to get his footing and fight back. He leveled Space Monkey with a Russian Sickle but only got a two count. He soon followed up with a Soviet Sledge. Again, Space Monkey was able to kick out. It didn't matter as Hammerhead put him down for the count after a second Soviet Sledge.
Winner: Hammerhead by pinfall (***)
Hammerhead pulls out the letter that was behind this recent conflict between these two from his tights and tossed it down on Space Monkey.
Hammerhead: This is over my friend. Da? Da.
He walks off to the back.
--- commercials including for The Stand PPV and breaking news on the RCW Hotline only available by calling 1-900-The-Show ---
Jet Set Strutter w/The Thinker vs Chet Skye
The youngster Chet Skye caught Jet Set off guard in the opening minutes and was able to get in a nice offensive run. It just was not enough to put Jet Set away. Once Jet Set got going Chet was in major trouble. Jet Set put Chet in his finisher. Chet was in obvious pain but he refused to tap. Chet worked hard and was able to flip over reversing the hold. Jet Set was forced to release it. The former World champ was not going to be denied and soon he had Chet in the middle of the ring and applied Six-Figure Leg Lock once again. This time Chet was forced to tap out.
Winner: Jet Set Strutter via submission (**)
GM Mr. Greenhorn walks out from the back and stands on the stage.
Mr. Greenhorn: The Thinker, you have been asking for a title shot for your man Jet Set. I have decided to grant it. Dude Brohan will be defending the RCW World Heavyweight Championship against Jet Set Strutter on Card #85 when we are live in Las Vegas, NV. Gee whiz that is going to be a fun night. Do not miss it. Get your tickets before The Show sells out.
