Gorilla Typhoon: Welcome to Denver, CO. This is The Show.

KC: We have a good one tonight, Typhoon. There is a TV Title match plus a match to find out the #1 contender to Lazer's USA Championship. I am excited and cannot wait to get to the action.

Gorilla Typhoon: Well, I do not want you to have a stroke KC so let's go to the ring and get the action started.


Dark Invader vs Bill Mulkey

Bill did better than his brother Randy did against Dark Invader. Of course, that is not saying much. After getting in a bit offense Bill found himself on the defensive. Invader used The Corruptor, which flattened Bill, to pick up another win.

Winner: Dark Invader by pinfall (**)


The Gargoyle and Gothica are talking in their locker room. When the cameraman tries to get closer to hear what they are saying something big enters the shot and takes up the whole screen. The cameraman backs up and it is Slashmaster. The cameraman turns around and walks off at a quick pace.

Mr. Bonsai and Johnny Kobra seem to be having a heated discussion about something. Johnny reaches into his pocket, pulls out a slip of paper and shows it to Mr. Bonsai. Then Mr. Bonsai's expression changes to a sad one, he lowers his head and nods his agreement. Johnny gets a sly smile on his face and puts the paper back in his pocket.


Skullgore w/The Gargoyle vs Arizona Chance in a #1 Contender to the USA Championship match

Right after the match started Gothica led her men Keith Blood and Slashmaster down to the ring. That made Arizona nervous and took his attention away from Skullgore who jumped on the opening. Skullgore rocked Arizona and did not let him catch his breath. A Diving Skullbutt led to a two count. Skullgore followed that up with a Crossbone Body Block and the pin.

Winner: Skullgore via pinfall to earn a title shot (*)

Everyone gets in the ring to celebrate with Skullgore.

Gorilla Typhoon: Before we get to our main event let's look at next weeks The Show. Dude Brohan will be in action in a non-title match, Dark Invader will continue to climb to the top and we will have the debut of two new wrestlers from the Mexican promotion, Universal Wrestling Association, STIGMA and Hydra in tag action.


Mad Arab w/The Thinker vs The Pirahna for the TV Title

This match started really good, and it looked like it would a great one but ended before it could get there. Mad Arab tossed The Pirahna out of the ring. He went after the challenger and was brutally assaulting him. The referee came to the floor and tried to stop the attack, but Mad Arab grabbed him and tossed him into the ring steps. Mad Arab body slammed The Pirahna and hit a powerbomb. Meanwhile the referee was groggy and slowly recovered. When he got a bit of his senses back, he called for the bell.

Winner: The Pirahna by disqualification. Mad Arab retains the title (**)


As The Thinker argued with the referee his man Mad Arab kept attacking The Pirahna. Fans are booing and finally some officials come down and are able to pull Mad Arab off of The Pirahna. They are checking on The Pirahna and want to have the medical staff look him over but he waves them off and stumbles off toward the back.

9/8/81 Salt Lake City, UT - card #84


Gorilla Typhoon: This is The Show, and we are live in Salt Lake City, UT. We have a fun show for you tonight.

KC: That is correct Typhoon. Dark Invader takes on the dangerous Black and Blue Ninja Samurai Warrior. We will see Stigma and Hydra from the Universal Wrestling Association in tag action. The only drawback is we have to see that beach bum Dude Brohan in action.

Gorilla Typhoon: Hey now, that is our RCW World Heavyweight Champion you are talking about.

KC: He may be your champion but he is not mine. Next week he will lose that title to the REAL World Champion, Jet Set Strutter.

Gorilla Typhoon: Well, that is possible. Tonight's main event is a non-title match but next week's main event will see the title on the line. But that is next week. For now, we have some great wrestling action for our viewers. Time to get our first match started.


Dark Invader vs Black and Blue Ninja Samurai Warrior

Another impressive performance from Dark Invader. He got the jump on B and B and never let up on the gas. He hit The Corrupter and picked up another win.

Winner: Dark Invader by pinfall (*)

Mean Jeans is interviewing Johnny Kobra in the interview area as Mr. Bonsai stands in the background. Johnny grabs the mic away from Mean Jeans and starts going on a rant about how he keeps getting looked over for chances in RCW. He does not know if it is his Hollywood good looks or that he could be registered as a deadly weapon but he is sick and tired of it. He wants a shot at Lazer and will do whatever it takes to get it and beat Lazer for that USA Championship. He then shoves Mean Jeans onto his backside and then he grabs The Stand banner behind him and tears it apart. Security comes over and order Johnny to leave the area. He threatens to attack them but finally ends up just giving a smug smile before walking off.


The Thrashers vs Stigma and Hydra

Dizzy Lixx and Hydra kicked off the action and Hydra shockingly was dominating Dizzy. He lifted Dizzy and while he struggled to get him up over his head, he did it then dropped him in a gorilla press. Hydra quickly went for the cover but Dizzy kicked out. Hydra tagged his partner in and Stigma soon decided to take the match to the floor. Dizzy caught Stigma with an uppercut as Stigma came thru the ropes. Dizzy tagged Cesar Sleaze and they performed their tag finisher. Stigma was able to get a shoulder up off the mat before the referee counted to three. Cesar Sleaze smelled blood in the water and used Twisted Mister to finish Stigma off.

Winner: The Thrashers via pinfall (**)


Gorilla Typhoon: A nice win for the former World Tag Team Champions. The Thrashers have been in mostly a tailspin since losing their titles. This win might get them back on the winning track.

Gorilla Typhoon: Another match has been added to next week's The Show. Dark Invader is finally taking a step up in competition. He will be facing Buzzsaw.

KC: I tell you Gorilla, that is going to be a slugfest. I can see that match going either way. Whoever wins will probably be in line for a title shot against either of the three single champions.

Gorilla Typhoon: Astute observation KC.

KC: Did you expect anything less from me?


Dude Brohan vs Pelvis Pressly in a non-title match

This was a short match. The champ put Pelvis in a headlock. Then he tossed him into the ropes and leveled him with a clothesline. He lifted Pelvis and performed an atomic drop. He hooked Pelvis's legs and got the pin.

Winner: Dude Brohan by pinfall (*)


The Thinker leads The Think Tank out to the stage when the match was over, interrupting Dude Brohan's surfer pose down.

Jet Set Strutter: Congratulations Dude. You beat a lounge act. Tonight, he got to be in the ring with the World Champion and next week when we are in Vegas, he will be walking the Strip looking for a job as a singer in a dive bar. So, enjoy it while you can Dude. Because, next week you face REAL talent. That is me, the king of the dark night, the walking talking ATM and above all, THE...MAN. I am taking back my title belt in Sin City. After I beat you me and The Think Tank are going to go party from one casino to the next to the next until we shut that town down. Who is the man? Whooooooooooo? I am.

9/15/81 Las Vegas, NV - card #85


Gorilla Typhoon: This is The Show, and we are live from Sin City, Las Vegas. The RCW World title will be online in tonight's main event.

KC: Finally, we get to see the title belt back around the rightful waist when Jet Set Strutter wins tonight.

Gorilla Typhoon: Come on KC. Dude Brohan is a tough opponent for Jet Set. This match could go either way. But that is not all we have tonight. There is tag team action in our opening match and Dark Invader takes a step up in competition when he faces Buzzsaw.

KC: That will be a good match. On any other night that could be our main event. Just shows the kind of matches we have here on The Show, Gorilla. Enough talk let's see some people beat up on each other.


Pumpkin Patch Kids w/Princess Starbright vs Savings And Loan w/Big Banker Jr

This was a surprisingly short match. Frightmare and Will Savings started for their teams. Will looked a bit nervous with Frightmare which allowed Frightmare to get the early advantage. Frightmare tagged his partner and they performed a Double Sleepy Hollow. Hallowicked quickly followed up with Never Wake Up and before Loan or Banker could do anything Hallowicked made the pin.

Winner: Pumpkin Patch Kids by pinfall (*)


Princess Starbright gets in the ring and is jumping up and down and clapping her hands. She tells her team they did super-duper wonderful. Big Banker Jr looks like is is about to order his team to attack the Pumpkin Patch Kids but he is thrown off by the scariness of the team and the cute, sweetness of their manager. So, he instead slowly backs his way off the apron and tells his men to leave the ring. They make their way to the back as Big Banker Jr shoots glances over his shoulder ever so often.

Dark Invader vs Buzzsaw

As Invader made his way down to the ring Buzzsaw was running the ropes in the ring. Every time Invader tried to get in the ring Buzzsaw would run over causing Invader to back off and complain to the referee who told Buzzsaw to back off. Finally, Invader was able to get in the ring but soon as he did Buzzsaw charged him. Buzzsaw was dominating till he took the action out to the floor. That is when the two men brawled and Invader came out on top. Back in the ring it was all Dark Invader. Buzzsaw showed his intestinal fortitude as he kicked out of a few pin attempts. It was a Super atomic drop that finally ended Buzzsaw's chances as Invader pinned him.

Winner: Dark Invader via pinfall (**)

Dude Brohan vs Jet Set Strutter w/The Thinker

Jet Set strutted around the ring as the match began to try and play mind games with Dude. He had the early advantage but could not keep things going in his favor. Soon Dude was using his extreme power advantage to wear Jet Set down. He used nails to the back as well as body slams and big boot to Strutter's face. Jet Set tried to fight back for a short while but when he went for an eye poke Dude put up his hand and blocked it. Then Dude started rolling again. The Thinker saw his man in danger so he got on the apron and tried to help Jet Set out. Dude Brohan came over, grabbed The Thinker by his collar and motioned to the crowd that he might hit The Thinker. That made the fans cheer so Dude pulled his right arm back and slugged The Thinker, sending him sprawling onto the floor. The champion hit a Big Bro Leg Drop. It looked like the match was over as Dude made the cover but somehow Jet Set found enough strength to kick out. That shocked Dude to no ends. The Thinker pulled himself to his knees thanks to the ring stairs and motioned to the back. That brought out the rest of The Think Tank (Mad Arab, Six Million Pound Man and Lord Vincent Hendrix) who ran down and entered the ring. They jumped on Dude Brohan and started to beat him down leaving the referee with no choice.

Winner: Dude Brohan by disqualification (***)

The timekeeper keeps ringing the bell as The Think Tank beat down on Dude Brohan. Jet Set Strutter puts Dude in his finisher and Dude is in intense pain. The Show ends with officials trying to get the attack on the World champion stop.

Really enjoyed this card my friend, Buzzsaw sure seemed invincible at first and I guess if the bout stayed strictly inside the ring then it'd say it would have turned out different.

Amazing how the momentum can really change on the outside. Was kinda cool to see The Invader get the duke as simultaneously, Buzzsaw still seemed tough on both sides of the bout.

Was pulling for Jet Set to regain the title but The Dude stood his ground, in spite of The Thinker and his crew of miscreants. Sets up a groovy potential rematch.

You have made me pull for Dark Invader and Dude Brohan instead of my old favorites Buzzsaw and Jet Set.

9/22/81 Phoenix, AZ - card #86


Gorilla Typhoon: Welcome to Phoenix. This is The Show, and we have a fun show for you tonight. The Pirahna, Star Boy, the members of Beauty Salon will all be in action all leading to our main event of Lazer defending his USA Championship against Johnny Kobra.

KC: Lazer is in a lot of trouble. Johnny Kobra will chop him in half and take that title belt away Typhoon.

Gorilla Typhoon: Maybe. We will find out later tonight. Before we get to the action however, we need to discuss the ending to last week's The Show. The Think Tank viciously attacked Dude Brohan. The World champ suffered some injuries and will be out for four to five weeks. I am told he is in a foul mood. He has a message for The Thinker and his Think Tank later tonight.

KC: I will not be holding my breath for that. Best hope is he will give his retirement speech. After that beating he took, he realized that wrestling is not for him. He will head back to the beach and surfing.

Gorilla Typhoon: Give me a break, KC. It's time to get the action started.


The Pirahna vs Joe Jobber w/T.A. Templeton

When The Pirahna comes out he hears quite a few cheers. That catches him off guard. He stops walking to the ring, looks around and then continues to the ring looking a bit embarrassed. As the match started The Pirahna started hot but Jobber fought back a bit. Unfortunately for Joe, he could not do much offensively. Most of his advantage came from collar and elbow tie ups transitioned into a headlock. Then The Pirahna started to wear Joe down and finished him with an Outlaw Choke transitioned into a pin attempt.

Winner: The Pirahna by pinfall (**)


Joe was hurt that T.A. did not try and help him out in the match. As the two talk KC has the production truck show replays showing what T.A. was doing during the match. Most of the clips are of him looking at himself in his hand mirror. A few of him talking to guests. The rest showed him fanning himself.


Tennis Pro is walking with Ball Boy in back. Tennis Pro is telling Ball Boy that he is going to ask GM Mr. Greenhorn for a title match and since the GM is such a push over, he will be granted it. The only question is which title will he go after.

Gorilla Typhoon: As we saw from our commercials, we are coming back to California for a couple weeks. After that we are heading to the East Coast. Based on a request from one of RCW's loyal fans, neilybob , we are coming to Ithaca, NY. If you want to see The Show in your town, just let us know. Who knows, we might just show up.


Star Boy vs T.A. Templeton w/Jobber Joe

The two-time tag team champion Star Boy started hot using his speed and agility to keep Templeton off balance. Then T.A. got his hands on the high flyer and used his power to beat Star Boy down. Things were looking bad for Star Boy. But his was not his first rodeo so he kept looking for an opening and when he saw one, he jumped all over it. He started hitting his best offense and used both of his finishers once but T.A. kicked out both times. T.A. looked toward Joe for help but Joe was talking on his phone and held up a one moment finger to Templeton. As it was T.A. did not have a moment. Star Boy hit another Flying Cross Chop and earned the victory.

Winner: Star Boy via pinfall (***)


After recovering T.A. Templeton had some choice words for Jobber Joe.


A promo video plays showing a gym while Ozzy Osbourne's You Can't Kill Rock and Roll plays. When the beat picks up the camera shows Red Pirate Rogers doing curls with a pair of dumbbells. After a bit he drops them to the floor, turns toward the camera, glares into it and then reaches out to push the camera downward as the video ends.

Tennis Pro and Ball Boy walk into Mr. Greenhorn's office.

GM Mr. Greenhorn: Well, hello there. What can I do for you today?

Tennis Pro: I want, no, I demand a title shot. I deserve to be a champion.

GM Mr. Greenhorn: No.

Tennis Pro: Good. Now the question is who...wait. What? Did you say...no?

GM Mr. Greenhorn: That is correct. I AM sorry but I have to say no. You have not done anything recently and thus no wins. I cannot give everyone a title shot who asks for one. Get some wins and we can revisit this request at a later time.

Tennis Pro: You cannot be serious!


Lazer vs Johnny Kobra w/Mr. Bonsai for the USA Championship

A good match that saw one man in control than the other. Lazer started to do more damage than he took. When he put Johnny Kobra in his Lazerlock. Mr. Bonsai knew his man was in trouble so he tried to get the referee's attention in case Johnny tapped. His short size made it so the referee did not see him. Lucky for him and Johnny when Lazer put on the finisher he did not lock it in the best and Johnny was able to get out. Lazer kept on the attack and when he applied Lazerlock a second time he locked it in tight. Johnny was forced to tap.

Winner: Lazer by submission to retain (**)


A camera shot of Dude Brohan sitting on a couch in his home. His left arm is in a sling, and he has a bandage on his right temple.

Dude Brohan: Last week I was beating that no good flashy fool Jet Set Strutter. His manager The Thinker knew it and sicked his Think Tank on me. That was low bro. You see the damage they did to me. I will be out for a month or so bro. Man, that sucks. But when I come back bro, I will make them pay. We have The Stand PPV coming up. So, bro, I am throwing out a challenge to The Thinker and his goon squad. I am going to put together a team to take on The Think Tank at the PPV. My group, Team Tubular, will destroy you bro. Oh, yea bro, I will get payback at The Stand bro.

Yea Joe is kind of like that from how I understand it. A bit like Brooklyn Brawler or some of the other glorified jobbers. TA. Templeton = Magnum T.A. meets Mr. T but with a touch of Gorgeous Geroge.
