10/20/81 Wheeling, WV - card #90
As The Show comes on the air, we see Gothica walking into GM Mr. Greenhorn's office.
Mr. Greenhorn: Well, hello there miss. I see you are getting into the Halloween spirit. What can I do for you?
Gothica: (Looks down at her outfit and then gives Mr. Greenhorn a dirty look) We have a PPV coming up. The World Tag Team Champions Road Demolition do not have a match. I want you to give my team, Shop of Horrors, a championship match against them.
Mr. Greenhorn: (Rubbing his chin) Hmm no I guess they do not. There should be a tag team title match. OK. You have it. Your team will face Road Demolition.
Gothica: Good. You made a wise decision.
She turns and walks out of the office. Meanwhile Mr. Greenhorn gets a huge smile on his face as he feels he did something great.
Gorilla Typhoon: Well, how about that? We start The Show with a match added for The Stand PPV. Welcome to Wheeling WV for The Show. We have a fun match for you tonight.
KC: Yea I got to admit that tag team title match could be really good. Road Demolition are a pair of big tough hombres but so is Slashmaster. Keith Blood is not easy to hurt. That match could go either way Typhoon.
Star Boy vs Chet Skye
A fine match between two light heavyweights. Chet had the early advantage, but Star Boy refused to be beaten. Things swung to Star Boy's side when Chet went to the top rope and Star Boy ran up next to him and grabbed Chet's head, flying off with a bulldog. Star Boy defeated Chet Skye after a falling headbutt.
Winner: Star Boy by pinfall (***)
Shortly after the end of the match Dude Brohan comes out to his entrance music. The crowd pops as he makes his way down to the ring. He gets in and shakes hands with Star Boy.
Dude Brohan: Great match amigo bro. Once again you show you are one of the great young stars in wrestling today. You are someone I want by my side when I go to battle with The Stink Tank. What do you say bro? Will you join my team bro?
Star Boy looks toward the fans for a very short time then turns back to Dude Brohan and nods his head. The crowd loves that.
Dude Brohan: That is awesome bro. Let's go in back and talk to Arizona Chance as he prepares for his match bro.
Dude does a shaka and Star Boy does it too.
The GM of RCW, Mr. Greenhorn, is sitting in his office when Princess Starbright walks in.
Princess Starbright: (In a really sing song voice) Hello good sir. May I have a moment of your time?
Mr. Greenhorn: Yes of course sweetie. What is it?
Princess Starbright: As I am sure you know; I manage the Pumpkin Patch Kids. It would mean the world to me if they could get a title match against Road Demolition at The Stand PPV.
Mr. Greenhorn: (Smiles) Sure. No problem. You tell your team they will have their title match against Road Demolition.
Princess Starbright: (Claps her hands right in front of her face which has a big smile) Oh goodie. Thank you so much sir. Have an amazing day.
She turns and leaves as Mr. Greenhorn smiles. Then his smile starts to fade, and he looks to be thinking. He points off to the right and then to the left. Then he counts on his fingers, one, two, three. He looks worried as he puts his head in his hands.
KC: What is that moron Mr. Greenhorn doing. First, he tells Gothica that Shop of Horrors will get a title match and now he tells Princess Starbright that Pumpkin Patch Kids can. Is he giving out title shots to everyone that asks?
Gorilla Typhoon: I got to admit KC that he has put himself in a bind. Hopefully he can figure it all out.
KC: I wouldn't hold my breath that he does.
Gorilla Typhoon: Try it anyways.
KC: Hey now Gorilla. Be nice.
--- commercials including for West Virginia University being a good place of learning and also about their big football game this coming Saturday ---
Gorilla Typhoon: Before we get to our next match, a few notes. An announcement coming from GM Mr. Greenhorn that Road Demolition will defend the RCW World Tag Team Championship against both Shop of Horrors and Pumpkin Patch Kids in a Triple Threat match at The Stand PPV. The first team to get a pin or submission will win the match and the tag titles. In another note, a reminder that The Show next week will be a Halloween themed episode. That will be coming from Columbus, OH and we will see Six Million Pound Man, Keith Blood and Stigma among others in action.
Skullgore w/The Gargoyle vs Arizona Chance
Arizona struggled early on, partly due to Skullgore using a foreign object that the referee could not see. Then Arizona began to fight back. It was around that time that Dude Brohan and Star Boy came out to the stage to watch the match. As Arizona got cooking The Gargoyle appeared to be looking for a chance to get involved. The Gargoyle noticed Dude and Star Boy on the stage and Dude was wiggling his finger in The Gargoyle's direction. That caused the manager to back off. Arizona used his finisher, but Skullgore kicked out. A bit later a flying clothesline helped Arizona earn the victory.
Winner: Arizona Chance via pinfall (**)
Dude Brohan and Star Boy come down after and enter the ring to celebrate with Arizona Chance.
--- commercials including a final sale at Toys r Us for costumes and candy ---
A promo for The Stand PPV
- Team Tubular (Dude Brohan, Arizona Chance, Star Boy and TBA) vs Team Think Tank (Jet Set Strutter, Mad Arab, Six Million Pound Man and TBA) - Lazer vs Dark Invader for the RCW USA Championship - Road Demolition vs Shop of Horrors vs Pumpkin Patch Kids in a Triple Threat match for the RCW World Tag Team Championship - Johnny Kobra vs The Pirahna (Winner gets a TV title shot on the first The Show after the PPV)
The Thrashers vs Jesse Wild and Rad Racer
It was not a good night for The Thrashers as the team of two men who had not tagged together dominated them. Jesse wore Dizzy Lixx down and tagged Rad Racer in. Rad kept things going for his team and hit his finisher but only got a two count. He tagged Jesse and they performed Jesse's old tag finisher with Chet, Torpedo Dropkicks, and Jesse pinned Dizzy.
Winner: Jesse Wild and Rad Racer (*)
Gorilla Typhoon: The Show is just about over but before we go, I have one last announcement. On next week's show, the last before The Stand PPV, there will be a special Beauty Salon. Their guest will be Dude Brohan where he will announce the final member of his team for the match against Team Think Tank. Still no word yet on who the last member of Team Think Tank will be. We will see you next week.

Hi Cool stuff going on here, oh yeah! I've got Princess Starbright's pictorial in Playboy still, haha! Star Boy must be Starman's kid, I'm guessing? FUN FACT: The Thrashers was the name of my 2nd table hockey team! They were AWESOME, of course! Later! Todd C WTIC

10/27/81 Columbus, OH - card #91
After the opening video and Elton John's "I'm Still Standing" we get a creepy video with Halloween music. Then we are live where we see Gorilla Typhoon dressed up like Frankenstein's monster complete with green face and bolts attached to the side of his head. KC "The Bod" is dressed up like Indiana Jones and snaps his whip a couple times.
Gorilla Typhoon: Happy Halloween everyone. Welcome to Columbus, OH and The Show. We are less than a week from The Stand PPV. Both teams in the main event, Team Tubular and Team Think Tank are a man short. We will learn Team Tubular's fourth and final man tonight when Dude Brohan is the guest of the Beauty Salon. Who knows if we find out Team Think Tank's final member. How goes it KC?
KC: Witch please. I am like a jack o' lantern, all smiles. It does not matter who Dude digs up to be his final team member. Get it Gorilla? Dig up? Like from a cemetery. Anyways, he could build someone for all the good it will do him. Just like it does not matter who The Think Tank gets. The Thinker will have his team ready, and they will win their match easy peasy.
Bug Buster vs Stigma w/Hydra
Bug Buster had his hands full with his opponent. As the match began Buster headed toward Stigma when Stigma held his hand up to stop him. Stigma did a bit of disco dancing which confused Buster. Stigma then used that to his advantage to get in the first bits of offense. Stigma controlled most of the action but Buster was not going to rollover for anyone. It took three of his finishers, but Stigma finally defeated Buster.
Winner: Stigma via pinfall (**)
Clips of Gothica talking to her team and Princess Starbright talking to hers about their match at The Stand and how it does not matter that a third team was added. They just need to win the match to win the titles. The major difference was while Gothica was talking about hurting people and letting their dark sides out Princess Starbright talks about being happy and positive. That goodness will always prevail and they will show that at The Stand. Then both ladies, in a split screen, say they can send a message with the one-on-one match they have tonight.
--- commercials including a Halloween special with horror hostess Elvira in select markets ---
An announcement from GM Mr. Greenhorn saying that it is official. In the main event of The Stand PPV the RCW World Championship and TV title will be on the line. If either of the champions are pinned or submit the title will change hands. The title will be able to change hands more than once if the situation should arise.
Gorilla Typhoon: Big news there KC. We could see titles change hands in The Stand's main event. Maybe numerous times.
KC: You said it Gorilla. The Think Tank could be walking out with the TV title AND the World Championship.
Gorilla Typhoon: Unlikely KC but we shall see this Sunday.
Keith Blood w/Gothica and Slashmaster vs Hallowicked w/Princess Starbright and Frightmare
Two men who were almost carbon copies of each other in regard to height and weight battled in this intense match. Not only did they not like each other but they were trying to send a message before the big Triple Threat RCW World Tag Team Championship match at The Stand. After a few minutes of fighting in and out of the ring Hallowicked hit his finisher, Never Wake Up, but Blood was able to kick out in time. Then it was Go 2 Sleepy Hallow and Hallowicked secured the victory after hooking Keith's far leg.
Winner: Hallowicked by pinfall (**)
The Beauty Salon is set up next to the stage. Joe Jobber and T.A. Templeton are on the set sitting in hair stylist chairs.
Joe Jobber: Hello everybody. This is of course the Beauty Salon. We have a special duper client tonight. His appointment is right now. None other than RCW World Champion Dude Brohan.
Fans cheer as Dude Brohan comes out of back thru the Beauty Salon doorway. He has a concerned look on his face.
Joe Jobber: Why the sour puss Dude? You are in good hands with us.
T.A. Templeton: I'm pretty, fool.
Dude Brohan: Well...you see. (Pause) I was supposed to announce the final member of my team, but I have not been able to talk to him. He has not answered my calls. I even left a message on one of those answering machines. But no call back to me.
Joe Jobber: Well, why don't you tell us who it is. Maybe we can help find him.
Dude Brohan: Hmm, I wanted to do this man to man, but it seems I might not get the chance bro. Time is running out. The Stand is Sunday. My final member will be...Pierre the Enormous.
Fans cheer at that announcement.
T.A. Templeton: Pierre? How can you not find him? He is over 7 foot tall. Over 400 pounds. In fact, he looks like that.
Templeton points to the entrance where in walks The Thinker with Pierre the Enormous right behind him.
The Thinker: Is this who you are looking for?
The concerned look on Dude's face gets more intense.
Dude Brohan: Pierre. My friend. What are you doing with this stinker?
The Thinker: You want him for your team but that is not possible. For you see, he is already on a team. MINE!
Dude Brohan: (shaking his head no) No bro, no bro. Bro, tell me it is not true bro. Why would you join up with this stinker bro?
Pierre the Enormous: I am tired of being in your shadow. I am the biggest man in wrestling. I have not been given a title shot. Even you, my so-called friend, did not offer me a title shot. I know why. You are scared of me. You should be.
Dude Brohan: No bro. We are friends. That is why I did not challenge you to a fight bro. Don't do this. I don't believe it bro.
The Thinker: He does not believe you Pierre. First, he pushes you to the side and puts himself over as better than you. Now he calls you a liar. Show him how serious you are Pierre.
With that Pierre reaches out and grabs Dude's COCO necklace and top of his tank top, ripping them off and dropping them to the ground. Dude, and Beauty Salon, are in total shock.
Pierre the Enormous: I will see you at The Stand. When I do, I will pin you in the match and become the new World Champion. See you there...friend.
Then The Thinker leads Pierre the Enormous away as Dude falls to his knees to pick up his tank top and necklace. He looks at them with pure sadness in his eyes.
--- commercials including Burger Chef still selling coupon books that can be handed out to trick or treaters ---
Gorilla Typhoon: Can you believe the turncoat Pierre. Not only does he not join Dude's team, making them still down a man and a powerful one at that, but he goes and joins the other side by being part of Team Think Tank.
KC: I love it Typhoon. I told you The Thinker always has a plan. Not only did he make his team stronger, unbeatable even, but he weakened Dude's so-called Team Tubular at the same time. I told you Typhoon, Team Think Tank is winning at The Stand and walking out with the World title to boot.
Gorilla Typhoon: You may be right KC. The question then becomes, who walks out with the World title? Jet Set or maybe Pierre himself.
KC: Now don't you go stirring the pot you witch. Things are going smoothly for Team Think Tank, and they don't need you trying to cause them problems. The Thinker is in charge, and he will set things up how he sees fit.
Gorilla Typhoon: Ok, ok. Settle down KC. Let's take a look at the PPV that is happening this Sunday.
A promo for The Stand PPV
- Team Tubular (Dude Brohan, Arizona Chance, Star Boy and TBA) vs Team Think Tank (Jet Set Strutter, Mad Arab, Six Million Pound Man and Pierre the Enormous) - Lazer vs Dark Invader for the RCW USA Championship - Road Demolition vs Shop of Horrors vs Pumpkin Patch Kids in a Triple Threat match for the RCW World Tag Team Championship - Johnny Kobra vs The Pirahna (Winner gets a TV title shot on the first The Show after the PPV) - Plus, Colbalt Commander has something to get off his chest
Six Million Pound Man w/Lord Vincent Hendrix and The Thinker vs Red Pirate Rogers
Things were very one-sided as Six Million Pound Man was all over Red Pirate Rogers. He tossed Rogers out of the ring and Rogers got in right after the referee's count reached nine. A bit later he slapped on American Dream and Rogers slowly started to fade. With his last bit of strength Rogers backed up hard into a corner causing Six Million to release his sleeper hold. Six Million grabbed Rogers and tossed him into the opposite corner. He then ran toward the corner only to have Rogers bounce out and lay him out with a nasty lariat. Red Pirate Rogers found his second wind, worked Six Million over and used his finisher, Swashbuckler, to earn the comeback win.
Winner: Red Pirate Rogers via pinfall (**)
Red Pirate Rogers rolls out of the ring before Lord Vincent Hendrix can get his hand on him. The Thinker is throwing a fit on the floor as he was hoping to have momentum going into the PPV this Sunday.
Gorilla Typhoon: Well, we have come to another end of The Show. Make sure to join us this Sunday for The Stand on PPV from the comfort of your home or join other RCW fans at locations showing the event on closed circuit TV. Then join us next week for another exciting episode of The Show as we will be coming to you live from Bloomington, IN. There will be a fun announcement regarding our 100th episode that is fast approaching. Till then, have a safe and Happy Halloween everybody.

Hi Nice write-up! Glad you included ELVIRA! She hasn't aged a day since the 1980's! I'm guessing Joe Jobber is a "jobber"? The Stand PPV? Maybe a surprise appearance by author Stephen King is in order? Six Million Pound Man has to... oh sorry. Was going to make a "Bionic fat joke" here but nah. Can't wait for the PPV! Todd C WTIC

The Stand 11/1/81 - Detroit, MI
In the woods late at night the headlights of a car can be seen. A red and white 1958 Plymouth Fury pulls up. The driver's window rolls down and the driver is horror writer Stephen King.
Stephen King: Hello wrestling fans. It is that time again. Good must stand up to Evil. It could quite literally be a battle for our souls. Which side will you Stand on. Good? Evil? The balance of power could be swayed based on who you choose. Be prepared for a night of great wrestling action.
A howling wolf can be heard. King looks around a bit then rolls his window up while looking nervous.
Then we are live from Detroit, MI as we see shots of Motown Studios and then downtown Deroit including Cobo Hall. Finally, we go inside to where Gorilla Typhoon and KC are sitting behind the announcer's table.
Gorilla Typhoon: Welcome to Detroit and The Stand PPV. We have a rowdy crowd, and some great wrestling action headed your way.
KC: You got that right Gorilla. The fans are still celebrating from Halloween and after getting hopped up on sugar they are ready to see the best wrestlers in the world do battle. The beauty of tonight is the fact that Dude Brohan still only has three members for his team. Let's take a look of video of him arriving earlier in the evening.
The video shows Dude Brohan entering the arena with his bags and a very obvious look of concern plastered on his face.
KC: Isn't that a wonderful sight Typhoon? Dude will have to face The Thinker's team a man short. Not to mention with a short man (laughs). You know, because of Star Boy.
Gorilla Typhoon: I got your joke KC. Do not sell him short. He is a former two-time World Tag Team Champion and with two different partners. He knows tag team wrestling.
KC: "See him short"? Now I got you making jokes Typhoon. I love it.
Gorilla Typhoon: Give me a break KC. Let's go to a video from the men in our opening match and then the match itself.
First, we see Johnny Kobra with Mr. Bonsai standing behind him. Johnny says it is about time he won a championship. He spent a lot of money to get what he thought was the best manager in the business. Yet he has nothing to show for it. After tonight he better have a title match on The Show this week. Then we see The Pirahna. He talks about it is weird hearing fans cheering for him instead of booing or calling for his head. He says he is getting used to it and to be honest, he kind of likes it. Hopefully he can give the fans something to cheer about tonight by beating Johnny Kobra and earning a TV title shot.
Johnny Kobra w/Mr. Bonsai vs The Pirahna for a TV title shot on the next The Show
After a lock up as both men battled for an advantage The Pirahna got going. He was looking really good. He used his finisher, out of sight of the referee, but Johnny kicked out. The Pirahna then followed up with Pirahna Bite. He covered Johnny and hooked a leg. The referee made the three count.
Winner: The Pirahna via pinfall (*)
The crowd is cheering for the win. The Pirahna looks shy then a bit proud. He waves to the crowd and goes down to celebrate with ringside fans. Meanwhile Johnny Kobra calls Mr. Bonsai into the ring. He is reading him the riot act. Johnny is steamed that Mr. Bonsai did not stop the pin. Johnny really wanted that TV title shot. He then looks at Mr. Bonsai for a bit and yells, "you're fired". Johnny leaves the ring and heads to the back. At first Mr. Bonsai looks all distraught. Then once he sees Johnny Kobra go into the back he smiles and does a little dance in the ring. It seems being fired is just what Mr. Bonsai wanted.
Road Demolition vs Shop of Horrors w/Gothica vs Pumpkin Patch Kids w/Princess Starbright for the RCW World Tag Team Championship in a Triple Threat match
Aximal, Keith Blood and Frightmare begin for their teams. All three brawl and give it their own. When Aximal tosses Frightmare toward Keith Blood the Vampire spears Frightmare. Frightmare rolls out of the ring. Then Aximal and Keith Blood begin to fight. Keith starts to gain the advantage. He goes for a pin attempt, but Frightmare had come back into the ring and drops an elbow on Blood.
Frightmare tosses Aximal to a neutral corner and attacks his nemesis. After rocking Keith Blood for a couple minutes, he covers him only to have Aximal pull him off. A kick to Frightmare's gut has him rolling around in pain. Aximal beats on Keith Blood then puts him in a camel clutch. Frightmare comes behind him and gives Aximal an eye rake. He tags Hallowicked in. Keith Blood is in bad shape so Hallowicked goes after him. He quickly hits a Never Wake Up and makes the cover. Before anyone can react, the count is made, and we have new champions.
Winner: Pumpkin Patch Kids by pinfall to win the titles (***)
Road Demolition cannot believe it. They lost their titles and neither man was pinned or submitted. Meanwhile Gothica is also trying to figure out what happened. She thought for sure her team would come out of this match with the belts. Princess Starbright is all giggles and smiles as her team DID emerge with the gold. She leads them proudly to the back.
Standing in the ring is Mean Jeans.
Mean Jeans: Cobalt Commander asked for this time to get something off his chest. Commander if you will, please come out and join me in the ring.
The sinister one makes his way out and enters the ring.
Mean Jeans: You wanted this time, and it is all yours. (Hands Colbalt Commander the mic)
Colbalt Commander: Yessssss. For the longesssst time I have been ignored and overpassssssed for opportunitiesssss. I am tired of it. I am making my own luck. I will have a match on thissss pay per view. Thisssss issss an open challenge to anyone in the back also not involved in a match. Come on out and let ussssss throw down.
There is a pause as Colbalt waits for an opponent. When he finally gets someone to come out, he looks scared. The music for He-Beast the Barbarian plays and he comes out with Princess Madora of the Valley. They had not been seen in a while and the fans missed them based on the cheers.
Colbalt Commander vs He-Beast the Barbarian w/Princess Madora of the Valley
While Colbalt was caught off guard by having He-Beast accept his open challenge he regained his composure as the match started. He was ready when He-Beast rushed at him by scooping the Barbarian up for a power slam. Then Colbalt applied a Cobra Clutch. He-Beast struggled some but fought out of it. Colbalt applied his finisher again. This time He-Beast struggled some more but again got free. The actions played out a third time. While Colbalt did not get the win he did wear his huge opponent down quite a bit. He-Beast tried to fight back but it did not last long. After an unsuccessful pin attempt Colbalt used his Poison Powder to finally put He-Beast away.
Winner: Colbalt Commander via pinfall (**)
An impressive win by Colbalt Commander. He exits the ring and gets in Princess Madora's face. Her response is a slap to his face. She prepares for him to strike back but all he does is tilt his head back and laugh. He turns and leaves to the back as she enters the ring to check on He-Beast.
Dude Brohan is walking around in back looking extremely concerned. He sees Mean Jeans and says he cannot find anyone to join his team as everyone has or is having a match. He asks Mean Jeans if he wants to be in the main event. Before Mean Jeans can answer a man comes running up. It is the surprise return of Prof. Gigawatt.
Prof. Gigawatt: Gadzooks Dude. I have been looking all over for you. I have been hearing you need someone to join your team in the main event. I have just the man for you. I am his manager.
Dude Brohan: Nice to see you Prof. I hate to break it to you bro but Stallons Gone Wild have a new manager and changed their names bro.
Prof. Gigawatt: Huh. Oh, I know all about that. I was not talking about those goofballs. I am talking about him.
He points in the direction he came and both Dude and Mean look then get shocked looks on their face. The camera goes to the hallway and see another man making his return slowly walking toward them. None other than The Annihilator.
Prof. Gigawatt: In the future I worked on his programming, and he is now a free man. He can help your team.
The Annihilator: I'm back.
A big smile crosses Dude Brohan's face and he offers his hand. The Annihilator looks down at it, then looks Dude in the face before taking his hand and shaking it. It looks like Dude's team is complete.
Lazer vs Dark Invader for the RCW USA Heavyweight Championship
This was the best match of the night so far. For several minutes the challenger was dominating the champion. He used back elbow smashes, Choke Lift, brawls outside of the ring and even The Corruptor but could not put Lazer away. After another wild fight on the floor Dark Invader rolled Lazer into the ring. He got in and hit a super atomic drop that sent Lazer flying into the corner where he smashed his head on the ring post. Lazer was busted open and blood flowed over his face paint. Still, Lazer refused to be beaten. Then he started to fight back and finally string some offense together. He put Invader in his Lazerlock finisher but Invader was able to counter and escape. Lazer hits a pair of military press slams before taking Invader to the floor where they brawled once more. Lazer was really whipping Invader which got the fans cheering loudly. Back in the ring Lazer put Invader in the Lazerlock in the middle of the ring. Invader tried hard to get out but eventually he could not take the pain and he tapped out.
Winner: Lazer by submission to retain (****)
Gorilla Typhoon: A really good effort by Dark Invader but somehow Lazer was able to fight back and defeat him.
KC: I got to give credit where it is due. Lazer showed a toughness tonight. It looked like Dark Invader had him beat on a few occasions but the champ refused to be beaten. Now, it is time for our main event. I am looking forward to watching Team Think Tank defeat that beach bum Dude Brohan and his ragtag team.
Gorilla Typhoon: Ragtag? Give me a break. Star Boy and Arizona Chance are both fine wrestlers and now they have The Annihilator KC. Do not forget that.
KC: Yea, yea, yea. I was surprised to see him and even more so that he joined that bum, Dude. He does make Dude's team a bit stronger but in the end it will not be enough. The Think Tank are going to win and come out of this match with not one but TWO titles. Mark my words Gorilla.
Team Tubular (Dude Brohan, Arizona Chance, Star Boy and The Annihilator) w/Prof. Gigawatt vs Team Think Tank (Jet Set Strutter, Mad Arab, Six Million Pound Man and Pierre the Enormous) w/The Thinker, Lord Vincent Hendrix and Alfred
Six Million Pound Man is going to start for his team. There is a bit of discussion on who should start for Team Tubular between the big men, but it is Star Boy who steps in. He slaps his chest to signify he will start. They give in to him. It was a wise move as he catches the larger opponent off guard with an arm drag which he follows up with a few more moves. Star Boy hits a Flying Cross Chop but only gets a two count. He goes over and tags Arizona Chance in. Arizona can only keep the advantage for a short while. Then Six Million starts to rock him with some powerful offense. After a Big Ben and a Stock Market Crash he tags Mad Arab in.
Mad Arab is all over Arizona Chance. He is relentless in his assault. Finally, Arizona Chance slows him down a bit and tags out to The Annihilator and the crowd pops. The large man beats down on Mad Arab. He uses Terminated to get a close two count. Then a bit after he uses his finisher a second time and gets the pin to eliminate Mad Arab. The Thinker cannot believe it and starts to go crazy on the floor. The referee halts the match so the ring announcer can announce that due to match stipulation The Annihilator is the new TV champion. The belt is still on the line should someone beat The Annihilator.
Then Pierre the Enormous steps over the top rope and the crowd gets excited as they anticipate the two behemoths, The Annihilator and Pierre the Enormous, slugging it out. They do not disappoint in what ended up being a short battle between the two of them. The new TV champ gave much better than he took. He used a pair of Cyborg Clotheslines to rock Pierre before finishing him off with Terminated. That was very impressive. The one down side is Pierre and Dude Brohan will not get to face off. The Thinker called both of his men down to discuss things as Team Think Tank have had two men eliminated and now are down 4 men to 2. As Six Million Pound Man enters the ring Star Boy motions The Annihilator to come over and tag him in. At first the large man is reluctant but he looks down at Prof. Gigawatt and Gigawatt nods his head. The Annihilator tags Star Boy in. We have the match up that kicked off this main event.
Six Million Pound Man is controlling the action for a minute or so. Star Boy uses his speed to fight back. He hits a Flying Cross Chop causing The Thinker to try and distract the referee but he is not seen. Six Million kicked out regardless. Star Boy kept rolling and hit another Flying Cross Chop. This time Jet Set Strutter came in to break the cover. That brought Dude Brohan in and the four men in the ring brawled for a bit before the referee regained control. After a frankensteiner Star Boy took his opponent out with yet another Flying Cross Chop and pinned him to make a third elimination. Jet Set Strutter is walking back and forth on the apron in major distress. He looks down at The Thinker to find out what is going on.
Jet Set Strutter enters the ring and holds his hand up when Star Boy approached him. Jet Set shakes his head to say no. He then points at Dude Brohan. If he is going to face someone, he wants to face the World Champion. Dude smiles and nods his head yes. He holds his hand out and Star Boy tags him in. Once again, the fans go wild. A big right hand from Dude and he shoves Jet Set across the ring to set the tone. The Thinker is going nuts on the floor. Fists to the head led to a cover. Dude followed up with a Dude Boot and another cover. Jet Set kicked out as he was in desperation mode. Dude Brohan signaled to the crowd that he was about to finish the match. The Thinker went to grab a chair to slide into the ring but when he turned around, he found Star Boy and Arizona Chance standing between him and the ring. Dude Brohan hit his Big Bro Leg Drop and the fans counted loudly with the referee. One...two...three. The fans erupted as Team Tubular had won the match in a clean sweep.
Winner: Team Tubular by eliminating Team Think Tank (***)
Fans erupt in cheers. Then Dude Brohan starts doing his surfer poses. He stops, calls his teammates in and encourages to join him in doing the poses. Arizona Chance and Star Boy join Dude in some nice surfer poses but The Annihilator just stands there watching as the show goes off the air.

Hi Cool to have Stephen King there, and a YOUNG Stephen since it's 1981, haha! I've been bingeing on Futurama lately, so all I can picture for the Professor is Hubert "Good news, everyone" Farnsworth for Gigawatt, LOL! Cowabunga, Dude! You stole Sting's gimmick, but he won't be wrestling as surfer Sting till about 1988! The Annihilator is not happy! Oh I have a baaad feeling about this! Very cool fight card! Todd C WTIC

Todd C WTIC Well Mr. King had a two year deal to be involved in The Stand PPV so of course he was here. Not sure if he will be around for the third The Stand. That is funny. Well Dude is from Cali too and kind of had that beach muscle head thing going on, so a surfer is not too far a stretch. Oh, you misunderstand. That WAS his happy look. Being a cyborg, his happy look is very much like his angry look. He is just not a dancer. He also is not into doing poses. You could say he is not a poser. Thank you.

11/03/81 Bloomington, IN - card #92
A video showing short clips and still photos from The Stand PPV. Then we are live from Bloomington.
Gorilla Typhoon: Welcome to Bloomington, IN and The Show. We are hot on the heels of an amazing PPV, The Stand. What a great PPV it was.
KC: Speak for yourself Gorilla. That rat Dude Brohan and his team cheated Team Think Tank out of a win. Then you have Lazer all but beat for the USA title but somehow, he pulled out a win over Dark Invader. I do not think we have heard the last from Dark Invader, however.
Gorilla Typhoon: That is something we can both agree on. Dark Invader put on a good showing and might be in line for a rematch. Tonight, we have, wait, here comes Tennis Pro down to the ring. He is not scheduled to be here tonight.
KC: Let's see what he has to say Typhoon.
After Tennis Pro entered the ring, he asked for a mic.
Tennis Pro: I saw at The Stand the way to get what you want around here is to grab and take it. If you are being skipped over just send out an open challenge and you can have a match of your own So, that is what I am doing. I want a match.
He patiently waits and then the pulsating entrance music for Iceberg plays. Fans are not sure if he is finally going to make an appearance or if this will be another no show. It did not take long for them to get their answer. Tennis Pro had the referee call for the bell to start the match and then begin to start the count on Iceberg.
Tennis Pro vs Iceberg in an Open Challenge match
The referee counts slowly but still gets to ten before anyone shows.
Winner: Tennis Pro via count out (*)
After having his arm raised as the winner Tennis Pro strutted around the ring as proud as a peacock.
Gorilla Typhoon: Well good for him. Tennis Pro picked up an, I guess you would call it impressive, win KC and now we can get onto the rest of the show. Our main event will be The Pirahna, who won a TV Title shot at The Stand, taking on the new TV champion, The Annihilator.
KC: The poor fish would have had his hands full with Mad Arab but his chances on winning the title went from 0% to a negative number.
Gorilla Typhoon: He will have a hard time winning but he has been doing really good lately so who knows.

American Heroes vs The Thrashers
Dangerzone and Dizzy Lixx kicked off the action and Dizzy found himself in the danger zone. Dizzy tried a low blow but Dangerzone closed his legs catching Dizzy's arm about knee high. Then a drop toe hold put Dangerzone in control. After dominating for a couple minutes Dangerzone tagged Warhawk who brutalized the glamour rocker. A First Blood looked to get the win but Dizzy kicked out. Warhawk tagged Dangerzone back in and after Need For Speed the Heroes had the W.
Winner: American Heroes by pinfall (*)
Gorilla Typhoon: We have been promising you a big announcement for our 100th episode. Well, here it is. We are calling it the Battle for the Belts. It will be a special The Show where all titles will be on the line. As we get closer, we will announce the actual matches. It will be a big celebration as we reach our 100th episode and close in our two-year anniversary. Don't miss it.

The Annihilator w/Prof. Gigawatt vs The Pirahna for the RCW TV Title
The Pirahna looked tentative before the bell but once it rang, he walked right up to The Annihilator. Things did not go good for the challenger. He countered some of The Annihilator's moves but the champ countered everything The Pirahna threw at him. A Hasta La Vista was just that for poor The Pirahna.
Winner: The Annihilator via pinfall to retain (*)
The Thinker comes out after the match and leads Pierre the Enormous down to the ring. Pierre walks up to the apron and then steps over the top rope. He walks over and stands in front of The Annihilator. Both men are staring intently at each other as The Show ends.

Hi Remember the C.B. Radio? I wanted the handle "ICEBERG" when I was a kid (born in January so why not?) but it had been taken here locally. I wonder how many wrestlers have had wrestled under that name? Sorry not to know who these guys are supposed to be, but I'm thinking Tennis Pro is? -- And the American Heroes is either Slaughter (with Kirschner) or Dusty (with Magnum)? And seeing the Finisher "Hasta La Vista" for Annihilator makes me think of The Terminator, but the Finisher would be from T2 ("Hasta La Vista, baby") and that's 1991, not an 80's Finisher! Anyway, sharp fight card! Todd C WTIC
