    The time has come. The random draw has been completed. The match ups are set in the innagural MWA World Championship Tournament!

Barry Windham will take on Nick Bockwinkel. The winner will advance to face the victor of the contest between Stan “The Lariat” Hansen and “The Living Legend” Larry Zbysko.


    The bottom bracket will feature Tully Blanchard going head to head with Harley Race. The combatant who emerges victorious will move on to face the winner of the match between Magnum T.A. and Bruiser Brody.

The matches will take place today. The results will be posted later tonight. Get your predictions in now for what will most assuredly be a great night in the squared circle!

MWA T.V. episode 1 Results:



Let’s go to ring side where Gordon Solie will give us the rundown.


Episode 1 of MWA T.V. featured all of the 1st round matches in the MWA World Championship Tournament.


The show kicked off with Nick Bockwinkel winning via Submission when he forced Barry Windham to submit to the Figure Four Leglock. Bockwinkel locks up his place in the semi-finals. (3*)


Stan Hansen did what Stan Hansen does. He took the match to the floor and chocked Larry Zbysko with the bull rope. The referee was forced to disqualify Hansen when he wouldn’t let the choke go. Zbysko advances via D.Q.. (1*)


Tully Blanchard hit an early reversal and kept control of his match with Harley Race. Tully managed to hit the Slingshot Suplay to get the win. (2 *)


Magnum T.A. stunned Bruiser Brody early and made quick work of him. The end came via Belly-to-Belly Suplay. (Squash) The win sets up a match between rivals Tully Blanchard and Magnum T.A.. (squash)



    Next weeks show will see the Semi-Finals of the tournament. Nick Bockwinkel vs. Larry Zbysko and Magnum T.A. will square off with Tully Blanchard.

We will also see Ray Stevens take on Brad Armstrong, and one half of the Rock n Roll Express, Ricky Morton will take on Dr. Death Steve Williams.
