It was a hot night in Billings, but inside the First Interstate Arena the GREAT NORTH WRESTLING action was even hotter!!!

The masked Super Destroyer met his match in the opener, falling to the rough and tough cowboy, Bob Ellis. The big cowboy was able to survive a fast starting Super D, who almost pins him in the early minutes of this one after a vicious POWERSLAM! Ellis was able to regroup and mount a comeback, eventually putting Super Destroyer's shoulders to the canvas for the pin with his BULLDOG HEADLOCK. Time: (11:16).

It was Cowboys and Indians in our next fracas, as Wahoo McDaniel went on the warpath against Dutch Mantell in Billings! The popular Native American star defeats "Dirty" Dutch in impressive fashion! Wahoo (1 fatigue) nearly dominated this match bell to bell, pinning Mantell (3 fatigue) after a DOUBLE SLEDGE from the second turnbuckle! Time: (9:38).

Our tag-team feature, a Main-Event in itself pitted former GNW TAG-TEAM champions THE BRITISH BULLDOGS, against the red hot new-comers to GNW, Bad News Allen/Brickhouse Brown aka.... The B&B DESTRUCTION CO. This physical matchup wowed the huge appreciative Billings crowd. Both teams tore it up at one point or another in this one. Neither team doing enough to pin the other, this fight spills to the floor with all 4 men taking part! With fists flying, and kicks and slams in abundance, the ref counts out both Teams! Time: (15:41).

********INTERMISSION********
The BARON reigns supreme after the break as he defeats Paul Orndorff. Orndorff had his way early on, but the devious VON RASCHKE would not be denied victory tonight. After finally wearing Paul down, the big German gets the "W" with his signature BRAIN CLAW!
Time: (10:39).

***GNW INTER-STATE TITLE SHOT MATCH***
The MAGNIFICENT MURACO is back on top, but he had to defeat the very tough Antonino Rocca to get there. Don was tested the whole match by the crafty Rocca. Antonino nearly won by pinfall twice! Once following a volley of Flying Head Scissors ,the other after his ARGENTINE BACKBREAKER. But Muraco powers his way back and delivers THE HAWAIIAN HAMMER to get the 1,2,3,..... and the Inter-State title shot! Time: (16:20).

*GNW INTER-STATE CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH*
For the second straight time, INTER-STATE CHAMPION Angelo Mosca retains his belt under questionable circumstances. Last match against BARRY WINDHAM, Mosca strikes the ref and gets disqualified. .....this time it was Austin Idol's turn to be disappointed. IDOL was a "house on fire" taking the fight to King Kong right from the opening bell. Mosca escaped to the outside on numerous occasions, and the crowd let him have an earful of their displeasure. Austin (1 token) only hit one rough patch the entire bout, and Mosca (3 tokens) looked to be on his way out....BUT Angelo manages to roll under the ropes, taking Idol with him! Outside he quickly grabs a chair and blasts the challenger with it....over and over until the referee is forced to DISQUALIFY the INTER-STATE CHAMP. Mosca retains...AGAIN, and leaves IDOL lying on the floor as he snatches the belt and rushes to the back. Time: (14:18).

A crowded Veterans Memorial Coliseum witnessed an epic night of GNW action, and a new champion was crowned in Portland!!

In front of a Legion of his adoring fans, the Boogie Woogie Man Jimmy Valiant, defeated the always unpopular Col. Debeers.The big South African did however, make things difficult in the beginning. After kicking out of a Debeers powerslam, the boy from NYC rallies his way back and scores the "W" with his patented Boogie Woogie Elbow. Time: (9:52).

Mr. Wrestling II takes care of business tonight, as he defeats The Dirty White Boy, Tony Anthony. In a very competitive match, the masked veteran (3 fatigue) after a series of momentum swings, pins Anthony (2 fatigue) after a clothesline/MILLION DOLLAR KNEE LIFT combination. Time: (9:49).

Stan "The Lariat" Hansen (filling in for the departed Terry Gordy), destroys the usually gritty Brad Armstrong in what could be described as a massacre. Stan pounded young Armstrong all over the inside and outside of the ring, avoiding disqualification in the process. Hansen gets the 1,2,3...after nearly decapitating Brad with the LARIAT.
Time: (7:30) (DUD).

********INTERMISSION********

The odd "coupling" of AL PEREZ and PAMPERO FIRPO, never got on the same page and fell to fan favorites The Rock-n-Roll Express tonight in Portland. Ricky and Robert were totally in sync, and kept Perez/Firpo off balance and confused for 90% of the match. Perez had only one "spot" looking impressive for a short time over Gibson. Soon the tide swings back in R&R's favor, and they pin Firpo after a DOUBLE DROPKICK. Time: (11:23)

Ray Stevens pulls off what some MIGHT consider a minor upset, defeating a former GNW WORLD Champion, Dusty Rhodes in an intense back and forth melee. Both men were on their game tonight and it was physical. Rhodes (3 tokens) nearly pins Stevens (4 tokens) with his BIONIC ELBOW, but Ray manages to kick out on both occasions. Stevens also avoided losing to Rhodes via SLEEPER and FIGURE FOUR! Ray is able to finally secure the win with his BOMBS AWAY finisher, after failing with his double underhook suplex once, and a PILEDRIVER as well.
Time: (16:31).

*GNW INTER-STATE CHAMPIONSHIP/ 3-Way*
The 2nd INTER-STATE TITLE reign of AUSTIN IDOL begins tonight in PORTLAND!!! It was a crazy 3-Way slobber-knocker between IDOL(a former I.S. champ), former 2 Time INTER-STATE Champion DON MURACO, and the current (now former) champion ANGELO MOSCA. The crowd witnessed a brutal confrontation between some of the best athletes in Great North Wrestling. Each man nearly snatched the victory at one point or another in this epic match. With IDOL seemingly out on the floor, MOSCA has Muraco on the verge of defeat....setting him up for his BIG NASTY ELBOW. As Angelo prepares to launch off the ropes, Idol's hand reaches up barely enough onto the apron to trip KING KONG. .. who crashes hard to the mat on top of MURACO. As both men writhed on the mat, Austin manages to get back into the ring and puts MOSCA in the Las Vegas Leglock...and ANGELO SUBMITS!!!....
Tokens: IDOL 1, MURACO 2, MOSCA 2.

IN RAPID CITY, the hills were alive....with the sound of wrestling, as GNW was back in town!

Stan Stasiak, after a miscue by his opponent Matt Bourne, notched a win tonight in Rapid City! Bourne had things going pretty much in his favor until he telegraphed a back body drop and Stan put a boot in his face! After that Stasiak put the hurt on Matt, finally finishing him off with a HEART PUNCH.
Time: (7:30) (DUD).

Big Nikolai Volkoff defeated Thunderbolt Patterson in our second event, and it wasn't an easy win. Patterson dished out a fair amount of punishment to the big Russian, before finally losing via VOLKOFF'S BACKBREAKER DROP.
Time: (10:33).

"The Man Who Laughs" Hugh Morrus got out of his slump, by defeating The Big "O" Bob Orton Sr., in one heck of a brawl. The two combatants unleashed a plethora of offense against each other, with a minimal amount of defense being utilized by either man. For Morrus it was his NO LAUGHING MATTER (2nd attempt) that earns him the pin over Orton.
Time: (10:27).

********INTERMISSION********

It was sheer pandemonium after the break, as Adrian Adonis and The Crusher went toe to toe, in front of the rabid Rapid City faithful! In and out of the ring these two brawlers hanged and banged. Adonis (4 tokens) just couldn't get DA CRUSHER (3 tokens) to submit or be pinned! After shaking off the effects of ADRIAN'S GOODNIGHT IRENE, the Crusher pins Adonis after a CRUSHER BOLO! Time: (12:42).

***GNW INTER-STATE TITLE SHOT MATCH***
Arn Anderson FINALLY earns his shot at some GNW gold, defeating the "Asian Sensation", The Great Muta tonight in Rapid City! Muta came to the party loaded with plenty his explosive high impact offense and he used it all. The tough as nails ANDERSON, weathered the attack, and paid Muta back in spades!!! After avoiding MUTA'S GREEN MIST, Double A gets Muta's shoulders to the canvas for good AFTER not 1, but 2 consecutive GOURDBUSTERS.
TIME: (14:56).

**GNW WORLD TAG-TEAM TITLE SHOT**
Our other co-main event, featured 2 of the top tag-teams here in Great North Wrestling, THE ROAD WARRIORS vs THE BRITISH BULLDOGS!! Both teams being former World Champions, this was poised to be an epic confrontation! Both teams were highly motivated and, it was a very fast paced match. THE LOD, looked to be the early favorites as they isolated Davey Boy Smith from his partner and used some devastating moves on him. Finally Davey makes the tag , and The Dynamite Kid EXPLODES....taking the fight to both Hawk, and Animal!...before you know it all four men are duking it out in the center of the ring....PAUL ELLERING decides to interfere and tosses a chair into the ring! Hawk proceeds to use said chair and THE ROAD WARRIORS are DISQUALIFIED!!! They do however leave the "winners" lying in a heap before they exit the arena. YOUR WINNERS BY DQ, THE BRITISH BULLDOGS!!!! Time: (15:51).

Great North Wrestling travels to the Aldrich Arena in MAPLEWOOD MN, for a big 7 match fundraiser for SPECIAL OLYMPICS MINNESOTA!
