Not quite a sell-out, but lots of money was raised for the New Town Public Schools Music Depts., Sunday night! The action was intense and off the chain, here are your results.......

Kim Duk is having a very successful 2024 campaign here in GNW, and the big Korean's good fortune continued as he defeated Jim Powers in the opening contest. Powers' main weakness, is his slow start-up, and Duk capitalized on it, unleashing a devastating martial arts offensive right from the bell. Powers did manage a bit of a comeback, but failed to put Kim's shoulders to the mat after his lone pin attempt following a powerslam. Duk sensing a bit of urgency (after kicking out) bore down, eventually pinning Powers after a TOMBSTONE PILEDRIVER!
Time: (9:03).

Spike Huber made a rare singles match appearance, and pushed Bad, Bad Leroy Brown to the limit tonight in New Town! The young and powerful star despite his height and weight disadvantage, nearly pulled off the upset, using a rapid-fire attack, a mixture of power and wear down holds. Leroy had trouble for a while until he planted a boot upside Huber's head as he charged the turnbuckle. Then he tossed Spike out to the floor and stomped him but good, ending the barrage with a bodyslam on the gym floor (no DQ). Once back in the ring Brown uses some heavy handed blows, then a FLYING ELBOW DROP to put Spike down for good. Time: (7:41).

THE SHEEPHERDERS found the going tough in New Town as "Golden Boy" Paul Christy and his partner "Nature Boy" Roger Kirby took the New Zealanders to task in a scrapper! Luke and Butch tried the divide and conquer approach, isolating Christy in their corner and tagging quick, striking him fast and hard. But Paul manages to finally escape and tag a fresh Kirby, who goes on a tear, and quickly The 'Herders bail out to the floor, to gather themselves. Kirby and Christy were in prime form as they used their scientific skills, to make both Butch and Luke look slow. They tagged in and out, using the double-team to perfection, and it did not matter which one of the Sheepherders was in the ring. After being dropkicked through the ropes, a nearly unconscious Miller crawls back into the ring, where Christy lied in wait. As Kirby stops Williams' pin save, The Golden Boy pinned Butch after a knee drop off the second turnbuckle. Time: (11:19)

**********INTERMISSION**********

FIGHT CLUB'S Bad News Allen had a weird evening in New Town! He was the beneficiary of a DISQUALIFICATION win, the kind he usually finds himself on the LOSING end of most times. But his opponent Manny Fernandez let his temper get the best of him tonight. After failing to pin Allen after a FLYING BURRITO (Allen kicked out at 2 and a half) a frustrated Manny takes the action out to the floor! With Allen getting the better of him on the floor, Fernandez uses the ring apron to his advantage shoving Allen into back-first repeatedly. Still not satisfied he grabs the bell-keeper's hammer and hits Bad News with it! The referee has no choice but to DISQUALIFY The Raging Bull!!!
Time: (6:41).

One half of the GNW World Tag-Team Champs TheHeart-Stoppers, Ox Baker was on the losing end of his match with Gentleman Chris Adams! It was a wild and wooly affair as Ox dispensed plenty of pain and agony on Adams! Despite this, Chris was resilient and battled back. They traded blows on the floor, on the ring apron as well as in the ring. Ox had 2 pin attempts (none involving his HEART PUNCH). ADAMS reverse whips Baker into the ropes, then clocks him with a textbook SUPERKICK for the 1,2,3.
Time: (6:37).

**GNW INTER-STATE CHAMPIONSHIP**
Newly crowned GNW I.S. champion Bobby Shane makes his first title defense a successful one winning a tough match over challenger Pedro Morales! The crowd spurred Pedro on and he was pressing the champion early on, and Shane was rattled! But soon he uses a short-cut to gain the upperhand (in the form of a choke, using the top-rope - no DQ). Morales, then takes a bit of a beating, even escaping a Japanese Sleeper attempted by Bobby. Morales made an offensive comeback and had the crowd screaming poised for a title change tonight in New Town! With a stunned Shane seemingly ready to be pinned Morales climbs the corner and readies himself for a flying cross body.......and launches! Shane ducks at the last second and Pedro crashes to the mat with a sickening thud! Shane quickly gathered his wits and applies his JAPANESE SLEEPER, this time successfully! YOUR WINNER AND STILL GNW INTER-STATE CHAMPION BOBBY SHANE! Time: (15:29).

Here are you results from a crazy night of action Wednesday in Lansing!!!!

Ray Stevens got back in the win column, after his impressive opening match victory over "Moondog" Lonnie Mayne. Mayne was a tough opponent (as usual), but soon Ray was able to mount a sustainable offensive, pinning Mayne after deploying his trusty BOMBS AWAY finisher. Time: (6:22).

The trip to Lansing was equally beneficial for Al Perez, as he defeated Buddy Fuller tonight. Buddy thoroughly confused Perez early on using his superior scientific skills, nearly pinning Al on two occasions. Al resorted to an eye rake, and a questionable blow "down south", take away Buddy's momentum. Al eventually punishes Fuller enough to garner the "W" with his Alicopter!
Time: (7:34).

The Mexi-Cali Connection (Lothario/Madril) had the Lansing Center rocking, as they win our tag feature over The Lords (Hayes/Blears)! The English team was just plain outwrestled in this one, as Madril and Lothario were doggedly aggressive, and their pace was just too much for The Lords, especially Lord James Blears! After a flurry of double-teaming successes, Madril pins Blears using a cartwheel splash coming off the ropes! Time: (13:53).

**GNW FRONTIER CHAMPIONSHIP**
The reigning FRONTIER CHAMPION, Kevin Sullivan wins again! This time he turns back the challenge of veteran BILLY RED CLOUD! Billy didn't make it easy for Sullivan and kept the champ on his heels, with the full support of the Lansing crowd. Sullivan barely survives Billy's Indian Death Lock twice, en route to the win! After an extended period on Kevin's TREE OF WOE, Red Cloud is pinned after a Sullivan PILEDRIVER!
Time: (8:44).

BARON VON RASCHKE was at his brutal best, but the irrepressible Rocky Johnson was ready for the big German tonight in front of the screaming masses in Lansing! Raschke brawled, and bashed Rocky early and often, even unleashing his GERMAN CLAW....but Rocky survives it and battles back! He pins Von Raschke after a powerslam/FLYING BODY PRESS combo!

***GNW WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP***
Michigan's own, and GNW WORLD Champion BOBO BRAZIL was lucky to leave Lansing tonight with his championship intact! The undefeated (so far in GNW),BRUISER BRODY was his own worst enemy this evening. Big Brody took a little while to wind himself up, as Bobo looked solid early. He delivered a series of COCO BUTTS, and went for the cover, but Brody flicked him off like a horsetail swats a fly! Brody goes on an offensive tear, and has the champion down an bloody from vicious punches and a bite or two! Brazil refused to be pinned or submitted, although Brody tried many, many times! Then a weary Brazil decided to roll out of the squared circle to catch a rest, but Brody would have none of it! Outside the frustrated BRUISER shoves the referee to the floor, then slams Brazil on the concrete and delivers a leg drop off of the ring apron as well. The groggy official gets to his feet and calls for the bell DISQUALIFYING BRODY! YOU'RE WINNER OF THE MATCH AND STILL GNW WORLD CHAMPION via DISQUALIFICATION BOBO BRAZIL!

Here are the results from an exciting evening of professional wrestling action from Toronto.........

Moondog Spot was no match for rugged Canadian star Leo Burke tonight in Toronto. Spot used every trick in the book, even clubbing Leo with his bone! (unseen by the official). Leo shakes off the bone's effects, and turns on the offense, putting Spot down for the count with his SLEEPER HOLD. Time: (4:44).

Beauregarde notches a victory up North, defeating the always unpredictable Bugsy McGraw! Beau was a little more focused than usual, and was in no mood for Bugsy's antics. He kicked out of a McGraw powerslam and quickly powdered out for a breather. Once back inside the squared circle, BEAUREGARDE took over the match, choking Bugsy on the top-rope, then choking him with his boot, breaking just in time to avoid disqualification! After delivering more punishment, Beau pins McGraw after a running clothesline. Time: (7:49).

DON FRYE, represented FIGHT CLUB successfully in Toronto, as he defeated Bob Armstrong in front of the huge Maple Leaf Gardens crowd! Bob tested Frye giving him a run for his money with a constant forward attack. Don was able to kick out of Armstrong's GEORGIA JAWJACKER (not an easy thing to do), then mounted a huge offensive rally, forcing Armstrong to submit to his SINGLE LEG CRAB CHOKE. Time: (8:02)

************INTERMISSION************

Mad Dog and Butcher Vachon owned THE RPMS (Mike Davis/Tommy Lane) in Toronto this evening! The brutal Brothers bashed and brawled their way to victory, keeping Davis/Lane grounded and their tag-outs and double-teaming to the bare minimum. After impressively dominating THE RPMS in every facet of this match, MAD DOG pins Tommy after a PILEDRIVER! Time: (8:56).

***GNW INTER-STATE TITLE SHOT***
Tonight, THE FIGHT CLUB earned its first shot at GNW gold! Leader, KEN SHAMROCK leading his troops by example, defeated former I.S. Champion Jimmy Snuka in a real donnybrook of a contest! Both men used their agility and speed equally well, and this match ebbed back and forth, the crowd hanging on every move and counter move, knowing the finish could happen at any moment. Shamrock (3 fatigue), rebuffed every pin attempted by "The Superfly" and fought back in flurry after flurry, making Snuka submit to an ANKLE LOCK applied by Shamrock, that seemed to appear out of thin air! Time: (10:24).

***WORLD TAG-TEAM TITLE SHOT***
THE SHEEPHERDERS get the next shot at The GNW WORLD TAG-TEAM CHAMPIONS THE HEART-STOPPERS courtesy of HARLEM HEAT's manager Sister Sherri! Tonight in Toronto she costs her team dearly! For most of the match Booker T and Stevie Ray were simpatico looking nigh unstoppable as their power was rocking Luke and Butch! The New Zealand duo took a tremendous beating from the boys from Harlem! But the tough 'Herders managed to mount a comeback (surprisingly with the crowd behind them), and were just about to pin Booker, after a DOUBLE GUTBUSTER tag-team finisher (Butch making the cover while Luke keeps Stevie at bay). WHEN .....Sherri stormed into the ring jumping on Butch! The referee calls for the bell as Butch screams in pain as Sherri claws away at his eyes! He tosses her off his back to the canvas, and all 4 men battle towards the back! Time: (12:47).

Mean Gene: That was something to behold, I tell ya fans the tag-team scene here in GNW is by far the best in the wrestling world today, bar none! Toronto you fans have been absolutely amazing, we humbly thank you all! A near sell-out crowd gathered in Rapid City, South Dakota when Great North Wrestling came to town Monday night!!

The tag-team opener saw THE FIGHT CLUB continue to stack up recent wins as Don Frye/Bad News Allen destroyed the team of Jim Powers/Kenny King. The Club's MMA skills combined with Allen's ruthless brutality, was too potent a combination for King and Powers! After a brief comeback attempt fueled mainly by King, his final tag-out to Powers is the end of the line! Bad News Allen pummels Jim and pins him after unleashing his GHETTO BLASTER! Time: (5:06).

Leo Burke started out hot against Baron Von Raschke tonight in Rapid City! Leo fought hard and nearly pins the rugged German after a flying clothesline, but Raschke powered out at the last second! Then Von Raschke (with the aid of a boot scrape, and choke-hold (no DQ), turned up the violence to 10! He hammered on Burke for a good while, before dropping the Canadian star for the "W" with his BRAIN CLAW!
Time: (8:29).

The HEELS continue to roll inside the raucous Monument Arena as "The Crippler" Ray Stevens defeated Jerry Lynn in a very exciting contest. Both men shine in this grappling tug-o-war! Several high spots for both participants kept the crowd up and out of their seats! After an outside melee, (clearly won by Stevens), Lynn was never able to recover. STEVENS uses his BOMBS AWAY, for the 1,2,3....! Time: (7:19).

**GNW FRONTIER CHAMPIONSHIP**
Tonight's "LABOR" set before "Hercules" was insurmountable as Hercules Ayala fails to win THE FRONTIER strap. It remains solidly in KEVIN SULLIVAN 's grasp! Despite having Kevin in his FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK, Herc just couldn't get him to submit! After escaping said FIGURE FOUR (getting to the ropes for the break), Sullivan uses a foreign object (unseen by the referee), then methodically punishes Ayala. He puts Herc's shoulders to the mat with a PILEDRIVER! YOUR WINNER AND STILL GNW FRONTIER CHAMPION in his 3rd defense KEVIN SULLIVAN!!
Time: (8:46).

Jose Lothario/Alberto Madril finally chalk up a win for the GOOD GUYS, in their masterful victory over Paul Christy/Roger Kirby! It wasn't easy as "The Golden Boy"(Christy)and "The Nature Boy" (Kirby) are always prepared and always tough! Lots of great tag-team wrestling(from both teams) was witnessed by the appreciative fans tonight in Rapid City. Lothario/Madril were content to wrestle, until Kirby/Christy decided to take the low road. They worked over Madril pretty good, until he was able to make the tag to an incensed JOSE! Lothario tosses Christy out to the floor, then drills Kirby right in the chops, with his BIG SOCK...and knocked him out COLD, for the 3-count!
Time: (9:58).

***GNW WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP***
BEFORE this match got underway Great North Wrestling World Champion BOBO BRAZIL was in the ring mic in hand.....

"You know tonight I wrestle JAKE ROBERTS, but I want Great North Wrestling Commissioner Bill Watts and the GNW Board of Directors to listen up! The other night I defended this belt in Lansing, MICHIGAN and BRUISER BRODY didn't even try for the Championship, he made it PERSONAL and tried to HURT me! Watts, Board, I will fulfill my contractual obligation tonight, but I WANT BRODY, no DQ, no COUNTOUT, FOR THIS (raise the belt into the air).....MAKE IT HAPPEN!!!

Jake Roberts made his entrance, stalked to ring slithered into it, popped up and pointed a finger at Brazil and said " You don't need to worry about Bruiser Brody big man, looking past me is a foolish thing to do! And just like that this match was ON. Roberts unleashed the attack of his life, and Brazil was on the mat, and it looked grim for him. Brazil struggled as Jake just poured on the the pain, and agony, in his disdain for Bobo. Brazil the longest reigning World Champion in GNW history (length and defenses) dug deep and stormed back, much to Jake's SHOCK and dismay, the crowd willing the Champ back from the brink. After a series of COCO BUTTS Brazil, deployed a big Bobo Body Slam, followed by an elbow drop and the cover for the pin.
Time: (12:22).

Brian Sager: Another great night of action here from Rapid City. ..I dunno Brazil has thrown down the gauntlet, he wants BRODY! Maybe a mistake, maybe nipping the problem in the bud, anything seems possible at this point! Hopefully the powers that be will grant Bobo's request, and wherever that takes place will be rockin' for sure!
