Just curious how people approach the usage of known weapons in special matches like Cage and Titan Death matches. Guys like Splatter and Dark Justice for example. Do you allow illegal weapon assisted finishers like MEET ARSENAL and ROD OF JUSTICE to occur. Technically they are free to use such weapons repeatedly without fear of the DQ. But would you allow the weapons to be available in the first place? I tend to mix it up. Sometimes officials stop Splatter bringing Arsenal into the cage. Sometimes they don’t. Searching and trying to get such stuff off hardcore guys is a hazard in itself. I also take a kind of stance that both wrestlers know what they are getting into in signing such a match. So to face someone like Splatter part of the risk is always being hit with the club. If you don’t like it, don’t agree to the match. Wondered how others approach this?
Thanks, Wayne

They get to bring them. You know the risk and you take it or don't do it at all.

Thanks. Totally agree with that. I’ve only on rare occasions had the weapons removed.

I can see it both ways, and I can also see the potential of a no nonsense commissioner or enforcer referee stopping the bad guy from brining the weapon in with him. I think it would depend on where you want to go with the story. If the villain keeps using the weapon in his feud leading up to the cage, maybe he gets stopped. If the hero is feeling bold, he says "bring it". As always, in my best Tom Filsinger impersonation, "IT'S UP TO YOU, PROMOTER!"

I always let them bring them or I will get creative and say that the heel planted the weapon under the ring and grabs it during the match making him look even more dastardly.
