Doing a late-night posting and dropping for the last episode of Uncharted Territory for 2021! This is a HUGE episode as TDalton, stu, Chad Olson, and Cory are joined for the ultimate podcast crossover by Mike M, Tournament Master, and Sam Fain from the Roll Up podcast! After Mike gives a brief update on the Ringside Companion, the panel gives their thoughts on the top five LOW releases for 2021, along with a multitude of honorable mentions! I am posting the same video three times with each video cued up to a different spot in the episode. I tried to get them as close to where we started with our countdown on the podcast. I apologize if I'm off slightly on matches 3 or 4, as we recorded this group watch so long ago.  |

May as well throw out my top 5 and honorable mention
Honorable Mention - Bill Dundee.
If you can't get Lawler, you need Dundee in a Memphis set.
5) Doug Sommers (and Buddy Rose)
I love mid card type heel teams and they'll be such a fun team to match up with all the good guy teams we have
4) Dutch Mantell
Cory told me we got him signed and it was fantastic to have a cornerstone of Memphis wrestlling in the game. Plus, when Lawler was at his peak in 82/83, Dutch was able to split the crowd durin gtheir series
3) Kurt Angle
One of my all time favs. Chad hinted to me we had him signed, but the reveal was still huge
2) The Fabulous Ones
I was lucky enough to see their formation and them growing into a team in real time. Just an awesome addition
1) Austin Idol
One of my all time favs and a personal friend. When in the hospital and recoverig this past fall, I would get a call or text from him every couple of days to check up on me. We just talked last night and its awesome to hear him say I'm part of his family. Means everything.

Alright "Emperor Norton" (Mark T), I'll concede that video does make a convincing case for Koko in WWF. I mean, what versatility as a performer....and how did I miss this musical masterpiece?? But, that video notwithstanding, still sticking to my guns and I'll take Memphis Koko/Sweet Brown Sugar any day! Thanks as always for listening along sir. |
