History of the AJPW Triple Crown Heavyweight Championship

Hey everyone, long time lurker, infrequent poster but love this forum so much. I've had trouble sticking with a lot of my recent legends feds I've tried to make so I got a pretty wild idea. I've always been a huge fan of championships and title belts, and as the name says a huge fan of puroresu. So what if I followed the history of the AJPW Triple Crown Heavyweight Championship? This was in my opinion one of the best eras of wrestling of all time, with so many classic matches and rivalries. So on Cagematch.net i found every defense of the Triple Crown Heavyweight Championship and will play them out as I see fit. Some matches may be different and not the same participants but the venues and dates will be the same. I think what appealed most to me about the Triple Crown was that in Japan titles aren't defended every night, or even on every tour. When they are defended its like a big boxing match or a UFC title fight. They always seem like a big deal. For most of this I will be using Knapik's 1993 AJPW boot set, but with some color LOW wrestlers mixed in, and some surprises as well. I'm very excited about this and will he starting it soon!!!

Giant Baba addresses the wrestling media with a press conference on Nippon Television. He has announced that because of in the past few years in which in NWA has canceled appearances of the NWA World Heavyweight Champion at the last minute in the past few tours, AJPW will merge its 3 singles titles into one world championship. A championship match is scheduled for the Champions Carnival Tour. April 18th 2112 ,Night #21 at the Ota Ward Gymnasium in Tokyo Japan. NWA International Heavyweight Champion Jumbo Tsuruta will Square off against PWF Heavyweight Champion and NWA United National Champion Stan Hansen in a winner take all unification match. The winner of that match will make their first defense two nights later at Night #23 April 20th at Osaka Prefectural Gymnasium in Osaka against Atsushi Onita. The Triple Crown begins!
