"Just not until I run the League of the Forgotten out of the GWF. Morpheus, you and your band of misfits will not destroy what I have helped build. I stake my reputation on that." - Vanity is smiling at the camera and is about to speak when a growl is heard from behind the camera. He looks toward where the growl came from. "Oh, hush you, you will get fed when I decide it is time." He then turns back to the camera. "Renegade, you were always mean to me for no reason. That is why you were never a good tag team partner. Killer Queen, you were just too much of a diva. That is why you were not a good tag team partner. Well, I have found the perfect tag team partner and we are coming for both of you. Renegade, you find one of your League of the...um, what is the league of again? I seem to have...forgotten. (He giggles) Anywho, find a partner so we can have a match. Same for you Killer Queen. I WILL have my revenge." He walks off camera and is yelling at whatever growled to calm down and he will get it some din-din. - Thantos is sitting on a beach watching the sunset. "Morpheus, you don't listen do you old man? I told you, you and your League stay out of my business and I will stay out of yours. But you just HAD to stick your nose where it didn't belong. You and your good squad attack me and laid me out. That was two mistakes. One, attacking me to begin with. Two, leaving me breathing. I will tear you and your League apart. Much like his sun, your wrestling career is about to set. You and the members of your League have one chance for survival. Leave the GWF and NEVER come back. "

As we look into the past it should be noted this is when ESPN Space started their Annual Awards. They were of course GWF leaning as that was the only wrestling programming they were airing at the time. Years later when Beneath The Mat started doing annual awards, they included more promotions. Here are the initial award winners.
Yearly Awards
Wrestler of the Year - Thantos
He held the GWF Galaxy Championship all year and looked unbeatable
Tag Team of the Year - Greek Gods
A pair of runs with the GWF Galaxy Tag Team Championship helped them to this award. The Gladiators and Dorado Sundown were on their heels due to title runs and some dominating tag team action.

As part of our look back into the annuals of GWF history here is part of an interview Omega had with Bobby Rocket of ESPN Space at the beginning of 2088. Bobby Rocket was the one that pushed ESPN to follow wrestling and get the GWF on ESPN Space. He said it was always an honor to interview the great Omega. Enjoy.
Bobby Rocket: Morpheus has said he and the men in his League were forgotten. Is that the case?
Omega: (thinks a bit before answering) Maybe in a small way but not how he perceives it. When the Earth Mars Promotion (EMP) folded I heard that most of the guys were either retiring or moving on to other promotions. I know The Three were said to be returning to their home planet for a sabbatical and were planning on wrestling in some promotions there. Could I have reached out to Morpheus, Dorado Sundown, The Three and others? Sure. I probably should have looking back. But they could have reached out to me as well. Communication goes both ways. It was known for a while we were planning on starting a new promotion. Even after we got it up and running any of those guys could have called me or the GWF officials to inquire about getting booked. I feel both sides dropped the ball and should get some of the blame.
Bobby Rocket: You and Morpheus used to be friends in the EMP but then a rift appeared. Do you think you two will ever kiss and make up as they say?
Omega: (chuckles) Well, not kiss, that is for sure. As far as let bygones be bygones and be friendly, I do not know. As they say in wrestling, never say never. I just know it will not be anytime soon. He is mad at us and wants to destroy what we have worked hard for here in the GWF. But you touched on something there. His issue with me may go back even before the EMP closed its doors. He was the first EMP champion but I ended up becoming a bigger star and had more title reigns. I think he resented me for that and that led to our rift there. Me starting the GWF just made that rift grow. As far as us burying the hatchet I know he wants to do that now but in my back. Down the road? Who knows? Maybe we could see eye to eye again one day.
Bobby Rocket: How do you see all of this ending?
Omega: With the GWF still here, standing tall. The League of the Forgotten may try and tear it down but it will not work. They will not succeed. They can join us and be part of the company or they can leave. Right now, not everyone in the GWF locker room are friends and that is ok. What we are is united in our belief in GWF and desire to see it stay strong. In fact, that will be the name of our next PPV event in the beginning of the 3rd Q, United. We plan on sending a strong message to the League of the Forgotten that the GWF is not going anywhere.
Bobby Rocket: Wow, there you have it folks. Breaking news. The next GWF PPV will be United.
