I got home last night from work and the next two sets arrived. It is going to be hard to not use them too early. They are amazing. I really love that each manager, that does not wrestle, has their own chart. I must admit that back in the day when I got the sets I was a bit disappointed when I got a manager as it felt like a let down from a new wrestling card. Having different charts makes it all good. I have the original reimagined set but have been on the fence about getting the others. That information about the managers may have persuaded me, thank you my friend!

Yea it was a nice addition and makes the manager cards have more value. At least in my eyes. Some of the reimagining art work is very interesting too. Adam Blast being a big one.

I remember them mentioning that they wanted to do something with the manager cards as there have been no blank cards for a long time (original Maramus was the last one I believe)

4th Q, May 2087
The Road to Battle Among The Stars
Thantos vs Omega for the Galaxy Championship
- Thantos defends his title against the living legend he beat for the championship. But Omega is more than that. Thantos once said Omega was like a second father. Omega helped train Thantos along side his own son. Then Thantos turned on Omega and Star Warrior. Omega taught Thantos a lot but did he hold back some secrets that will allow him to beat the champ and add another title to his impressive resume?
Executioner vs Star Warrior for the Interplanetary Championship
- The young Star Warrior looks to put gold around his waist. He just has to beat the silent but deadly member of The Society of Death. Pinning him in last quarters tag match should give Star Warrior confidence going into this match.
Gladiators vs TBD for the Galaxy Tag Team Championship
- Teams keep lining up to try and beat the Gladiators for the tag belts. There is the former champions, Greek Gods. There is the team of Beast-Rider and Renegade. Who will face the champs? Whoever it is will have the advantage of knowing their opponent before the champs do. Of course the champs will be rested.
Commander Sam vs Comrade Terror in a Coal Miner's Glove match
- These two are brutal enemies. Neither man will be happy till they have destroyed the other. They can each do so much damage with their bare hands. Image the damage with a hand wearing a coal miner's glove. This will be a brutal match.
Invincible Krakan vs Pit Viper
- Krakan sent his minions to hurt and scar Pit Viper. Now Pit Viper finally gets his hands on the man responsible for his damaged face. Pit Viper has healed physically but has he healed mentally? This match might help with that.
Exo-King vs Massif
- A battle of the giants of the GWF. A battle of wills and power to see who the better man is.
Greek Gods vs Beast-Rider & Renegade in a #1 Contenders match
- The winner goes on to face the Tag Team Champions later in the night. The Greek Gods are former and two time champions. Will they win for a record third time? They have to get past a team who went 2-0 against them in recent single matches. But tag team wrestling is a different creature. Whoever wins will want to win fast to save energy for the title match.
Wolf vs Lord Nexus
- Rumor has it Thantos arranged this match as he was sending Wolf after the leader of The Flying Titans. Problem is, Wolf is done working with Thantos and The Gladiators. So, this will be a good match but no chance of Nexus being put on the shelf.

Battle Among The Stars PPV - 1st Q, June 2087
We see a packed house full of rabid fans for the first GWF PPV. After a run down of the card we go to the ring for the opening match.
Greek Gods beat Beast-Rider & Renegade in a #1 Contenders match when Actagon earned a submission on Beast-Rider with Grecian Sleeper Grip.
- This match was almost over in record time. Actagon rocked Beast-Rider with a Grecian Power Drop after the bell and covered for a two. - Proteus tagged in and before long performed Overhead Toss. Renegade tried to make a save but Actagon stopped him. Rider kicked out at 2 1/2. - Beast-Rider almost made a desperate tag but Proteus stopped him a foot short. Proteus tagged out and before long the match was over. - Greek Gods will go on to face the Gladiators for the Galaxy Tag Team Championship later tonight.
It seems the Tag Team Championship match will be between the only two teams to have held the titles.
Star Warrior over Executioner in an Interplanetary Championship match with a karate chop to win the title.
- Star Warrior dominated from the opening bell. He got the impressive win and his first singles title.
A title change. Could this set the trend for the night?
Massif defeated Exo-King with a piledriver.
- The announcers made a crack about how they hoped officials reinforced the ring for this match. - It was the expected slugfest between two big, powerful men. - After a few minutes of back and forth Massif hit his finisher. He followed it up with a Massif Power Slam and cover. Then third time was the charm as a piledriver and cover got him the win.
We see some military personnel in attendance. The armies of Earth, Aethra, Titan and CTA-102. Needless to say they were in four seperate sections far from each other.
Wolf submitted Lord Nexus with Savage Face Claw.
- Wolf was thrown off early on by Nexus being more agile which Wolf is not use to in an opponent. - Lord Nexus survived Wolf's finisher once but not the second time. - After the match it looked like Wolf was going to attack Nexus. But as he stood over Nexus he offered his hand and helped Nexus to his feet. Wolf patted him on his back, told him "good match" and then left to the back as fans cheered.
A look at both Thantos and Omega when they each arrived at the arena tonight. Omega looks intense while Thantos looks like he doesn't have a care in the world.
Invincible Krakan pinned Pit Viper after a Falling Face Slam.
- Krakan started with the offense but it did not last long. - Pit Viper, who had been waiting a long time to get his hands on Krakan, started unleashing on his nemesis. He hit his finisher but Krakan kicked out. - Krakan found a way to gain control. He worked Pit Viper over before using his own finisher to get the win. - The win was not enough for Krakan. He tried ripping Viper's mask off but Viper fled the ring. As he backed up the ramp he angrily pointed at Krakan who laughed at him.
Once again the cameras go to the fans. We see some stars of film and music. There is former two time Earth Heavyweight Boxing Champion and one time Galaxy Boxing Council (GBC) Heavyweight Champion, Billy Jo Boxer. Some Gravity Ball players are seen as well as wrestlers from other promotions. There is the tag team of Incredible Badger and Batterng Ram, aka Animal Pack. They are the current Andromeda Wrestling Association (AWA) tag team champions in their fifth reign. They are the only repeat winners of the AWA King of the Jungle Tag Team Tournament having won it three times including the last two. We see Mars Wrestling Federation (MWF) wrestlers Golden Dragon and The Prankster. The Prankster is shaking fans hands and shocking them with his buzzer or squirting his flower lapel at them.
Greek Gods beat Gladiators in a Galaxy Tag Team Championship match when Proteus pinned Massacre following an Overhead Toss to win the titles.
- A really good match that went back and forth and saw numerous tags. - Actagon came close to pinning Massacre a couple times but the Aethran kicked out just in time. - Proteus hit Massacre with his finisher and went for the cover. Brute came in and kicked Proteus to break the count. A minute later Proteus's finisher a second time got the job done.
- As the new champs began to celebrate their third time with the belts Brute came in and blasted them with chairshots. As the Gladiators beat down on the Greek Gods a howl is heard and Wolf comes out walking to the ring with purpose. He never gets there as a large man rushes out from the back and jumps him. The man is wearing Aethran war paint and appears to be another Gladiator. As he and Wolf battle on the entrance ramp security and officials pour out to pull them apart and to stop the Gladiators from beating on the Greek Gods. It's a wild scene.
Two titles have changed hands tonight. Are we in store for a hat trick?
We see the pole being set up in the corner of the ring and the coal miner's glove being placed on it for the next match.
Comrade Terror beat Commander Sam in a Coal Miner's Glove match when he smashed Sam with a gloved fist.
- Commander Sam comes out waving a special split flag, half a USA flag and half an Earth flag. - Early on Terror was in total control. He hit his finisher a couple times to soften Sam up. - Terror tried climbing the pole three times. First time Sam stopped him and hit a leg sweep off the corner. The second time Sam grabbed his leg and Terror pushed him down to the mat and hit a leg drop. Third time, Sam superplexed him into the ring. - Sam finally found his offense and unleashed fury on Terror. He hit his finisher a couple times. Both men ended up busted open. Blood flowed down their faces. - Terror climbed a fourth time. Sam climbed up after him. The men struggled over the glove and ended up crashing to the mat. Sam had control of the glove. But not for long. Before he could put it on Terror struggled with him and took it away. It swapped from one man to the other a few times before Terror finally was able to put it on his fist. Both men were a bloody mess when Terror slugged Sam with his gloved hand, knocking Sam out. Thus Terror made an easy pin.
- The crowd was going wild after the most brutal match in the GWF history, short history that it might be. Many boo as Terror drapes Sam's flag over Sam's motionless body before leaving the ring.
A promo for GWF's next PPV, Fall Brawl. It's coming in just three months in September.
Thantos over Omega in a Galaxy Championship match with Masterlock.
- Omega trained long and hard for this match but it was all in vane. - Omega went on the attack first but the champ quickly took control. After only a couple minutes Thantos applied his finisher and made Omega tap.
- A bizarre event occurred after the match. One of the ringside cameramen placed his camera down, entered the ring and sneaked up behind Omega. When Omega turned around the cameraman lifted his hand and unleashed an almost invisible fire like substance. Omega grabbed at his face as he howled in pain. The cameraman took off and ran thru the production area. The announcers pointed out how no one got a good look at his face due to the ball cap he was wearing was pulled down low and obscured his face. Medical staff and four local Galactic Police officers rush down to the ring. Three of the Police take off in the direction the attacker went while the other enters the ring to help the medical staff check on Omega. Star Warrior, Massif and Wolf of all people come down to check on the legend as well. The announcers point out that Commander Sam would probably have come down too but he was taken to a local hospital earlier as a precaution after his brutal match. Everyone in the ring looks concerned. Star Warrior and the Police officer are talking then we see Omega, face covered with a wet rag, sit up. Two of the medical crew are helping him scoot his way to the ropes and under them as they prepare to take him to the back for further observation and treatment as the PPV ends.

1st Q, June 2087
Opening promo video
- Highlights from Battle Among The Stars. Then announcements that due to injuries Omega could miss up to two months, Commander Sam is out 2-6 Qs and Comrade Terror will miss some time. - Gladiators introduce their newest member, Spike. He will watch their back as they work to get their titles back and will get in the ring once he is deemed ready. - Vanity mocks Beast-Rider and Renegade for how quickly they lost to the Greek Gods at BATS. He said Renegade now must know that Vanity wasn't the weak link on their team. Vanity says he has a new tag partner and they want to continue Beast-Rider and Renegade's humiliation tonight. - Wolf is in a locker room throwing chairs around. He said he wants to face Gladiators especially Spike but he also wants to face Thantos and whoever it was that attacked Omega. He is on the hunt and they all just made his endangered species list.
Executioner over Pulsar with a Hangman's Clothesline.
- Young Pulsar came up against an angry Executioner. He put up a decent fight but the former Intergalactic champ was too much. - Executioner hit his Headman Guillotine finisher but only got a two count.
Vanity and Killer Queen beat Beast-Rider & Renegade when Killer Queen submitted Beast-Rider with Checkmate.
- A short match with no tag. Before long Killer Queen applied his finisher and Rider tapped. Vanity and Killer Queen laughed as they returned toward the back.
Wolf defeated Brute w/Massacre with Savage Face Claw.
- Brute used his power early on. - Wolf tapped into his anger and soon it was Brute who was tapping, to Wolf's finisher.
- Massacre jumped Wolf after the bell. Wolf fought back and was winning the exchange. Then he got hit with a forearm to the back of the head by Spike. The numbers game was too much. The three Gladiators beat down Wolf. Then Spike puts Wolf on his shoulders, climbs to the top rope and hits a power slam from there. It was an awesome display of power. As the Gladiators stand tall Wolf lays on the mat, possibly injured.
Closing promo video
- The man who attacked Omega is a professional wrestler that had just signed with GWF the morning of BATS. He was immediately suspended indefinitely pending a review of what happened and Omega's physical situation. - Thantos says he had nothing to do with the attack on Omega. He says he had already defeated the old bag of bones so had no reason to harm him. He says it was just a young guy trying to make a name for himself. - The Greek Gods are having a party. They are surrounded by tons of food and drink not to mention numerous lovely women who are admiring and passing around the GWF Galaxy Tag Team Championship belts.

I was wondering if anyone noticed the "Easter eggs" I planted in Battle Among The Stars of future GWF wrestlers. Some were as plain as the nose on your face, most of the rest were fairly obvious but there were 1 or 2 that might have been a bit tougher. Did you see them? If so, how many did you see?

Seven I think. Quasar could be one of the Gravity Ball players. Golden Dragon and The Prankster, don't know if they're bootlegs but The Prankster could be Mad Jester not sure about Golden Dragon.
