Question - I recently ordered the 2125 Legends Starter set and I am wondering who are the strongest cards in the set and who are the weakest.
I am planning to start a fed with my boys and I’d like to have them play with stronger wrestlers and I’ll take the weaker ones (I want them to have a good experience with it so we hopefully play a bunch). This will be my first time playing COTG since, literally, the late 80s/very early 90s. I had the original 3 or 4 sets as a kid (ordered directly from the pages of PWI) and I recently thought of this game and searched for a copy to play with my boys. I was completely blown away when I found out that the game was still around and had been printing new editions regularly this entire time. I’m really excited to get back into it.

Weakest would be Scimitar and Plethador

If you are looking to throw a match or two, keep an eye on Chart ratings. For example, if their wrestler has an A rating for Ropes and you roll Ropes (ch) then roll but if they have a C rating pass on the rolling and just reroll. I hope you and your boys have a great time.

In 2125, the roster is actually split into 2 major elements.
The first element is a Hero Team VS Villain Team faction war, which tends to feature the more prominent wrestlers on the roster and the main storylines going into it. There are six factions.
Hero Teams Federation Defense Fighters Legends of the Ring Covert Operations
Villain Teams Rogue's Gallery Martial Law Gladiators of Aethra
The remaining wrestlers go into what is known as the Infinity Challenge. It's where the wrestlers not involved in the major six factions will go.
If you plan on rolling singles matches, then the Overmaster and Endgame tend to be the most powerful (Monolith is not in 2125). If you roll tag team matches, then look out for Rush and Turmoil, as they are quite the tag team unit, as well as Leaders of the Pack from the Infinity Challenge.

Great info on_the_edge and mystmotone101. I appreciate you both taking the time. I vaguely remember chart ratings when I played as a child. Once I actually receive the game/rules and play a few, I am sure it will make more sense how to give my boys an “advantage” using the charts. Interesting about the faction war. I had no idea. Honestly, I am very interested in learning more about the ongoing story. I hope 2125 is a good jumping on point!

if you're attending the Perennial at the end of the month, you can watch matches run online which may be helpful.

That’s a great suggestion. I hadn’t planned on it, but I will look into it. Thanks Troy.
