Ladies and Gentlemen welcome to the Premier edition of CWF Power Pro Wrestling. Tonight we will be crowning the Provincial Champion, a 6 Pack Elimination match up for the #1 contender to the Canadian Heavyweight Title, while the Canadian Tag Team Champion Road Warriors will see action.

Provincial Title Round 1

Owen Hart defeated Chris Candido following a Victory Roll, in a fast pace match up. (2*)

Ted DiBiase and Bobby Heenan join Gordon Solie. Heenan and his charge inform Solie that after tonight he will not only have the Canadian Champion Harley Race in his family, but DiBiase will be bringing home the Provincial Title.

Ted DiBiase made short work of Al Perez following a Pile Driver for the pinfall. (1*)

Brad Armstrong pulled out a big surprise by pinning Tully Blanchard, after intercepting a pair of Brass Knuckles thrown in the ring by Bobby Heenan. The referee was distracted by Heenan, when Armstrong used them, before disposing in the crowd. (2*)

Apter has invited all 6 men who will be battling in the 6 Pack Challenge to face Canadian Champion Harley Race. Bryan Danielson, Kurt Angle, Barry Windham, Kevin Steen, Rick Martel & Eddie Gilbert spend the entire time arguing amongst themselves.

The Patriot defeats Tracy Smothers in a wild one, as Smothers was disqualified for using a chair on the Patriot. Interesting note is that Kurt Angle came out during this match and got involved twice helping the Patriot. Smothers frustration boiled over, which resulted in the use of the chair. (4*)

Following the match, Kurt Angle; who got involved earlier attacked Smothers, but Brad Armstrong came out and a wild brawl took place. Armstrong will be facing the Patriot later, however a match has been made for Championship Wrestling between 4 men.

Non Tournament Match

Canadian Tag Team Champions Road Warriors with “Precious” Paul Ellering destroys George South and Kenny following the Doomsday Device.

The Road Warriors and “Precious” Paul were with Bill Apter, when the British Bulldogs made their way to ringside. The Bulldogs said that it’s time for the Warriors to face a real team, and issued a challenge to the Warriors. “Precious” Paul said that they would give them a Non-Title Match in 2 weeks.



Ted DiBiase won the 1st Semi-Final Match by defeating Owen Hart with the Sleeper Hold. Bobby “The Brain” Heenan played a major factor in the match interfering twice, which allowed DiBiase to get the Sleeper and put Hart out. (3*)

Prior to the 2nd Semi Final Match, it was announced that Kurt Angle and Tracy Smothers were banned from ringside. If anybody comes out prior, during or after the match they will be fined and suspended for 60 days.

The Patriot pulled off the victory following the Patriot Missile on Brad Armstrong. (2*)

6 Pack Elimination Match
**Winner receives a shot at Canadian Heavyweight Champion Harley Race.

Kevin Steen survived the 6 Pack Elimination match reversing a Eddie Gilbert Cross body block from the top rope, and hooking the leg. (5*) Order of Elimination

Barry Windham DQ’d for using a chair on Steen
Bryan Danielson eliminated following Cradle Piledriver from Steen
Rick Martel eliminated by Gilbert using Brass Knuckles
Kurt Angle eliminated by Steen following Fisherman Buster on Knee.

The Patriot became the First Canadian Provincial Champion by pinning Ted DiBiase following an Atomic Drop, not before getting rid of Heenan by tossing him over the top rope. (3*)

Canadian Heavyweight Champion Harley Race (With Bobby Heenan) destroyed Jake Milliman with a Pile Driver. (Squash)

Harley Race and Bobby Heenan joins Gordon Solie. Race is not happy having to face a no name Kevin Steen, when Steen comes out and tells Race that he will get to know the Most dangerous man in Wrestling on March 26th at March Massacre.

The British Bulldogs (Davey Boy Smith & Dynamite Kid) defeats Kenny Jay and Ric McCord, when Kid pinned Jay following a Diving Head Butt. (1*)

Eddie Gilbert defeats Jim Brunzell after hitting him with a fireball, while the referee distracted by Doug Gilbert. Brunzell needed help to the back following the match.

Sherri Martel defeats Princess Victoria following 2 Cobra Clutch Suplex (2*)

Bob Backlund defeats The Grappler following the Atomic Drop. (1*)

Bill Apter welcomes Bob Backlund to the Press Conference. Backlund says that he’s happy to be in Canada and wishes to get some championship gold. Commissioner Niles comes out and says that next week he can face Ted DiBiase with the winner getting a shot at March Massacre at the Patriot for the Provincial Title.

Arn Anderson defeats Sam Houston by DQ, when Houston and Anderson were brawling on the outside and Houston accidently hit the referee. (4*)

Provincial Champion The Patriot & Kurt Angle defeats Tracy Smothers & Brad Armstrong, when Angle pinned Armstrong following the Olympic Slam. (2*)

1st Round Women Title

Melina defeats Rockin’ Robin with a Tombstone Pile Driver (3*)

Sherri Martel defeats Nora Greenwald following a choke on the top rope (1*)

Bill Apter’s Press Conference with guest Kevin Steen. Steen says that he’s never been ready has he his for March 26 and March Massacre. He knows that given the opportunity he will defeat Harley Race and become the Canadian Champion. Because Canada needs a champion that is Canadian. He promises to show Race, why he’s the most dangerous wrestler in the world.

Tina Moretti defeats Su Yung by DQ after Yung used the Blood Red Mist on Moretti. (1*)

Jazz defeats Judy Martin with the Bitch Clamp. Leilani Kai did come out an distracted Jazz earlier, but when she tried again, it didn’t work and it was over for Martin.

Non-Tournament Matches

Gordon Solie is joined at ringside by the Provincial Champion the Patriot. The champ mentions that he will be watching the match up with Mr. Solie.

#1 Contenders match for Provincial title.

Bob Backlund defeats Ted DiBiase (With Bobby Heenan) by reverse decision. DiBiase appeared to have the match won after hitting Backlund with the Loaded Glove. As the referee went to lift DiBiase’s hand in victory the object fell from the glove and the referee reversed the decision. (4*)

Following the match the Patriot and Kurt Angle attacked Backlund, however Rick Martel came out from the back to make the save.

Non-Title Match

The British Bulldogs defeats Road Warriors (With Paul Ellering), when Dynamite Kid pinned Hawk following the Tower of London. (4*)

Bulldogs earn a shot at the Tag Team titles at March Massacre.

Semi Finals for Ladies Championship

Sherrie Martel defeats Melina with a Top Rope Splash to advance to the finals at March Massacre

Jazz defeats Tina Moretti with the Double Underhook Suplex to advance to the finals.

Gordon Solie replays the action from last week, were the Patriot and Angle attack Backlund

Solie is joined by Rick Martel & Bob Backlund. Backlund informs the Patriot that he will only need one shot at the title, to become champion.

Provincial Champion The Patriot & Kurt Angle defeats Bob Backlund and Rick Martel by Count Out. Patriot and Backlund where battling on one side of the ring and as the referee was distracted, Angle delivered an Angle Slam on the announce table. When the referee turned around he counted out Martel, as Backlund checked on his partner.

Bill Apter Press Conference with Commissioner Niles, who announces a 6 man gauntlet at March Massacre to crown the Canadian Jr. Heavyweight Champion. The combatants will be the following Bryan Danielson, Ric McCord, Chris Candido, Owen Hart, Sam Houston and Brad Armstrong.

Bryan Danielson defeats George South following the Discuss Elbow Smash

Barry Windham defeats Doug Gilbert following the Sweetwater Suplex.

Following the match Barry Windham challenged Eddie Gilbert to a match next week, after Gilbert interfered twice to help his brother.

Kevin Steen defeats Tully Blanchard (With Bobby Heenan) by DQ, when Blanchard rammed Steen’s head in the turnbuckle.

Heenan looked down at Steen and told him that this is a warning for him not to show up at March Massacre.

Owen Hart defeats Ric McCord with a Victory Roll.

Chris Candido defeats Jake Milliman following the Blond Bomb

Bill Apter’s Press Conference with Bobby Heenan and Canadian Champion Harley Race. Race says that Kevin Steen is a youngster who will be taught a big lesson at March Massacre. Heenan says that next week Ted DiBiase will show Steen, what he can expect at March Madness.

Hart Foundation defeats the Texas Hangmen, when Neidhart pinned Killer following the Hart Attack.

Gordon Solie began interviewing the Hart Foundation, when Jimmy Hart and The Amazing French Canadiens came out and issued a challenge to the Hart Foundation for March Massacre. The Hart Foundation gladly accepted.

Provincial Champion the Patriot defeats George South with the Uncle Slam.

Sherri Martel defeats Xia Brookside following a Top Rope Splash.

Barry Windham defeats Eddie Gilbert with the Lariat. Windham first connected the Lariat, but Doug Gilbert tried to interfere, however Windham was ready and connected with a back elbow as Doug climbed on the apron. Eddie got back to his feet, and Windham again connected with a Lariat again for the 3 count.
