I love this move, can we please get an app with all the AEW and ROH content. I think it would be a huge money maker kind of what WWE could have done but were like nah we dont want to make more money and just showcase the libraries of all these other feds like NWA, evolve etc.
Just keeping the library from Vince who probably would bury it so we could never see it again is a blessing.

Not sure WWE would bury it, but it wouldnt be so prominent as it would be with AEW utilizing it. This really makes an AEW streaming option more possible as there is some history for them to utilize, which they didnt have before. I cant see a stand alone platform as those have not proven to be very successful outside of wwe network. With the tie to Turner, having it on HBO Max is a natural fit. Just hope the interface is better than the Peacock interface for WWE content.

You guys would rather that ROH was assimilated into the WWE machine? I think the point that he kept WWE from getting that content library and all the intellectual property is being lost on some. There's NO WAY if WWE ever got it you'd get anything close to a full ROH section on the stinky 'cock. Tony Khan already seems to have a (at least) tentative plan in mind to get the old ROH stuff on a streaming service. If nothing else, be happy for that. No one said they prefer the WWE buy ROH. They are expressing concerns about how Tony/AEW will handle ROH--fair concerns and criticism. Tony and AEW can be fairly criticized, and criticizing AEW/Tony does not mean it must become a WWE v AEW fanboy rumble. Plus WWE chose not to purchase ROH for a reason. ,..... I honestly don't watch AEW or current WWE, so this isn't THAT. I've got a subscription to the 'cock network so I know how horrible that service is for wrestling. Anything T-Khan can throw together almost cannot stink as bad as that. What I notice is a lot of strawman scenarios and people reacting negatively to something that hasn't happened yet. That's fine I suppose, but I don't have the desire to focus on negatives personally. To me it's good someone kept the brand alive and is committed to moving forward with it. It's very "wait and see", so in that regard I'd make a horrible modern internet wrestling fan.

I mean, if we are being totally honest, Ring of Honor hasn't been the RoH that revolutionized the business since at least 2013, and probably closer to 2010.
Tony Khan using it as AEW Developmental certainly can't be any worse than the Davey Richards/Kyle O'Reilly faux MMA years, or the never ending push of sex pest Jay Lethal.
The video library of the early years, and potentially the Sinclair Time Slot are the only things worth a damn coming out of the sale unless Bandido, Gresham, or The Briscoes are still under contract (which I don't believe they are)

I am currently waiting to see if Supercard of Honor is still happening or not before buying a ticket as originally planned for the show in Texas. The ROH website is still accepting ticket purchases and tickets have already been sold. But the announcements for the show have stopped since Tuesday which is understandable due to the ownership change. If nothing else, I will see Gringo Loco's Wrld on Lucha show at The Collective instead which is happening at the same time.

Something that has not been mentioned here, that was in at least 2 different articles I have read, was before they announced that Tony Khan purchased ROH, Khan was in talks with HBOMAX about providing them wrestling content for their online streaming service. Like it or not, WWE has been one of, if not the biggest, draws Peacock has. WWE, despite what you may think of their product, has brought more eyes to Peacock then anything else. If those reports were true and Khan is talking with HBOMAX about providing them wrestling content, we may see why he spend $40 Million on ROH. I, personally, would love to see the ROH library available on HBOMAX, along with AEW content. Whether you like AEW or not, to me, the more wrestling that is available the better.

I still can't believe TK spent $40 mil for ROH. That is insane. That price supposedly included all of the companies assets. That would have to be an awful lot of broadcasting gear for this to make sense. Otherwise TK is cementing his role as the money mark everyone says he is.

Tony creates an app with All the ROH library and AEW material he makes that money right back. We really need an app or streaming service for wrestling content like that right now. Wwe could have made even more if they had ever posted their entire libraries.

Content libraries are a lot more valuable than they were when WWE bought WCW. Is it worth $40 million, not sure, but its probably not too far off.

I haven’t played my Ring of Vegas (ROV) fed in awhile partly because I was waiting to see what happened with ROH, but I have always intended to keep it going and get back to it. I think when I resume my ROV fed this year that I might revamp the roster and base it around guys signed to AEW such as Jay Lethal, Daniel Garcia, Adam Cole, Young Bucks, Lee Moriarty, Brody King, Tommy End, Bryan Danielson (who is my current ROV Champion anyway,) etc.
