Sonny Rocket is walking the backstage area making sure everyone is doing their jobs. As he makes his way through Gorilla and to the curtain, Astarte approaches him. Astarte goes to ask about Uranus but Sonny cuts him off. "I'm heading to the ring, but we'll pick this up later!"

Sonny makes his way out to the ring, soaking up the cheers and boos with equal vigor.

Sonny Rocket - Loyal fans of the FTR, I am here to announce our next special, which will take place right here at The Launching Pad! It will be the King For A Day tournament! I was rummaging through my father's things and came across the rules for an innovative concept called the Scorpi Spotlight Battle Royale. Inspired by this, I decided to make it into an event only I'd be crazy enough to allow! The winner will have complete control of the following Elevation! Be warned, if you try and get cute by making rules, stipulations and matches beyond that Elevation, I have the right to veto it! I myself will enter the KFAD and when I win, I will be granting myself a shot at the FTR title!

SPLASH vs. SONNY ROCKET
Sonny wins with the ROCKET LAUNCHER! (2)


Rocket takes care of business in an exciting match with Splash. As he walks to the back Mad Maxus is waiting behind the curtain.

Axe- Dude! Why Uranus? He's a square!

T.A - Not Totally Awesome.

Rocket - Guys, guys! We get Uranus, we get Honos! Especially after that attack, he's going to want some back up. I swear it's like I'm playing 5D chess while you're playing with a cup and ball. Now get out there and win!


MAD MAXUS vs. ANI-REBELS
Chameleon defeats Electric Axe with a Reptilian Claw Hold! (2.25)

A comedy of errors led to the victory of the Ani-Rebels. Chameleon has Axe fading in the Reptilian Claw Hold when T.A rushes in to break it up. Mayham tries to meet him but trips over the rope on his way in. Fortunately for him, he falls in front of T.A who trips over him and hits E.A creating a chain reaction leading to the pin.


Backstage
The Space Powers challenge Arctic Empire to a Flag Match next Elevation!

SCREWJOB vs. BLUR
Screwjob demolishes Blur!

After an incredible start, Blur gets caught outside the ring and the rest is all Screwjob. In a display of total disrespect, Screwjob uses the ropes after decimating Blur. The Hooded Man makes a declaration that The King is IN the Ring!
"Screwjob will win the King for a Day, and when he does..."
All of the sudden Vacant burst out of the back to attack Screwjob! He's intercepted by security as Screwjob taunts him from the ring.


Backstage
Rocket is befuddled with Mad Maxus and that loss. He's about to let them have it when Astarte interrupts.

Astarte - Soooo Uranus...

Rocket - Not you too, listen I have a ...

Astarte - No, Uranus...

Astarte steps aside to reveal a crying Uranus. The Son of Janus just says his brother's name when Rocket stops him.

Rocket - What happened is a travesty! But rest assured, The Rocket Men have your brother's back! In fact, with you as a Rocket Man, we should also have Honos as a member!

Uranus says that's great, only his brother had to return to defend the OXT title and if he loses, he won't be able to come back.
"Injury or not he has to fight, who knows if he'll ever come back, we'll have to wait and see. At least I have you guys now!"

Axe - Checkmate, Sonny.


BLACK HOLE TITLE
STALLION vs. WORKRATE
Stallion wins with LUCKY HORSESHOE! (3)

Stallion celebrates wildly as he's finally rid of the Black Hole Title.



Quest makes his way to the ring, FTR title over his shoulder. He has a different swagger to him, more laid back than his usual demeanor of finding his suspect.

Quest - No need to look find King for a Day, cause the CHAMP OF A LIFETIME IS HERE! All I ever wanted to be was heavyweight champion, and no one will take that away from me!

Pardon starts to make his way to the ring but security cuts him off. As Quest watches Pardon, Moonlight slips in the ring and hits ABSOLUTE PARDON! Quest goes down as Moonlight stands tall, Pardon looking on in confusion!

Backstage
Pardon stands next to Commissioner Rocket's office door, waiting for Moonlight to walk out.

Pardon - Well, that was a surprise last Elevation, any reason?

Moonlight - You don't get to have all the fun, love.

Pardon (nodding to the door) - What was that about?

Moonlight - Like I said, you don't get to have all the fun. Your King for a Day just may be a Queen! We have a tag match next Elevation, I'm going to prepare.

Moonlight walks off leaving Pardon alone with a devilish grin.

FORGE vs. CAPT. CROSSBONES
Forge wins with a GLEAMING HAMMER!

Forge looks dominant taking out the former FTR champion with relative ease.


Backstage
Quest storms into Rocket's office but gets cut off immediately.

Rocket - I hope you're not here to complain about people "coming to find you." This is exactly what you said you wanted.

Quest - Not complaining, in fact I'm here to ask for a match.

Rocket - Well, you're late, it's already happening next Elevation. Good luck finding a partner; the way you bullied half the roster I'd be shocked if anyone wants the job. Now if you excuse me, I have to pay close attention to this next match...


ANI-REBELS vs. ASTARTE & URANUS
The Rocket Men pull of the win with Uranus getting the job done (Mayham) with SON OF JANUS! (1.75)

Astarte and Uranus work surprisingly well together in their win over Chameleon and Mayham.


Backstage
Quest looks for a partner everywhere in The Launching Pad, all the folks he interrogated turn their backs as he approaches.


VACANT vs. SCREWJOB
Screwjob makes it look easy taking out Vacant with TITAN SCREWJOB. (1.5)


Pre-Taped Promo
New Black Hole Champion Workrate says even if he won the match he would have taken the title due to his subpar performance.
Workrate proclaims he will only relinquish the Black Hole Title in a match that's rated four stars and above!


The Rocket Men Locker Room
Sonny congratulates Astarte and Uranus on their win. Astarte says he's glad it's over so he can focus on King for a Day. Rocket says not so soon, he's booked them again next Elevation! Mad Maxus asks what about them. Sonny informs them they are booked as well but it's against each other!
"Maybe it will help you guys figure some things out. Iron sharpens iron and all that good stuff!"


Backstage
Forge approaches Quest who looks to have given up on his search.

Forge - If you still need a partner, I'm in! You've done nothing wrong to me, I'll help you out. Just know, I want what you have more than anything in this galaxy!


FLAG MATCH (WALK THE PLANK RULES)
SPACE POWERS vs. ARCTIC EMPIRE
Cephalopodis retrieves the flags to win the match! (3.5)

The Flags of Dreeze, Cygnus, and Andromeda were connected to resemble the sail used in a traditional Walk the Plank match.
Cephalopodis and Disciple battle back and forth on the Plank until Cephalopodis choke slams him from the platform down into the ring and grabs the Flags!

ASTARTE & URANUS vs. EUGENIC'S PROJECT
Astarte and Uranus win via count out! (4)

An excellent tag match to kick off Elevation. Astarte and Uranus actually make a decent tag unit! Crust saves Mass twice after GREATNESS DAWNS but can do nothing after Astarte hits a reverse head drop off the ring apron to the floor! Both men are down but Astarte wills himself back into the ring beating the count as Crust fails miserably to try and lift Mass.

Backstage
Stallion is being interviewed by an up-and-coming FTR correspondent. He boasts about getting rid of "The Overrated Man" Honos and says now that he's rid of the Black Hole Title he can get back to business.
"When I win King for a Day, I'm taking the FTR title and cutting some dead weight. Uranus, you can reunite with Honos sooner than you think!"

BLACK HOLE TITLE
WORKRATE vs. SPLASH
Workrate wins with the SIX STAR SPALSH! (3)

Workrate gets the win and is no longer Black Hole Champion! He grabs the belt and is ready to give it to Splash when the Dem tar Velez match rating appears on the FTR-TRN. * * * Workrate gets upset, pulls the belt back leaving with the title in disgust.

Workrate is still the Black Hole Champion


Backstage
Uranus enters Rocket's office celebrating not aware Astarte enters looking like he's on his way to a funeral.

Astarte - This experiment is over after tonight, right?

Rocket - Not so sure. You guys really work well together. You picked up the win and the fans were really behind you guys. Actually Astarte, this is the most over you've been...well ever! I say we keep it going.

Astarte- We'll see when I win King for a Day.


T.A vs. ELECTRIC AXE
Totally Awesome gets the win with AWESOME FINISHER! (3.5)

Both men were hesitant to go at it at first but go hard as the match progressed. Axe dominated the middle of the match but T.A wins in the end. Both men shake hands and hug afterwards as Rocket claps them on from the aisle.


Backstage
Stallion runs into Astarte in the halls and tells him he'll be doing him a favor when he's King and exiles Uranus.
"Or maybe you like hiding in tag matches, it's a lot safer."
Astarte has had it.
"I'm sick of your shit Stallion! All you do is talk. I'm over it! Me and you, next Elevation!"


NON-TITLE
PARDON & MOONLIGHT vs. QUEST & FORGE
Moonlight gets the win by pinning Forge after HEAD ON A SPIKE! (3.5)

Quest and Pardon continue to brawl after the bell until security rush out and get between them. Pardon tries in vain to get back into the ring, but security do an excellent job keeping them separated. Forge regains consciousness to see Quest hurling threats at Pardon while holding the FTR title high above his head. Forge grabs his hammer and prepares to attack his partner! Quest notices him approaching and hits DNA SAMPLE in the nick of time. He leans down to talk to Forge.

Quest - Even though you were never a suspect, I know you're not a killer. You're not smart enough to get the drop on anyone!

Various quick promos in the style of Saturday Night's Main Event (or early Collison) air to start the show all talking about what they would do as King for a Day.

Capt. Crossbones and Witch -
Witch - There's only going to be one Queen and it's not going to be the Mongol! When it's all said and done I'll be the first female FTR champion!

Crossbones-Mark my words, the crown is mine for the takin’, and I’ll be claimin’ it with the ferocity of a true pirate king! So, batten down the hatches and brace yerselves, because Captain Crossbones is comin’ for ye, and there’s no stoppin’ this cosmic tidal wave of destruction!"

Mayham -Move over Malkuth! Step aside Irone Mane! The real King of the Animen is here!

King Tux & Cephalopodis -
Tux - Add another crown to the throne room? Why the hell not! Anything to add, Ceph?

Cephalopodis shakes his head no.

QUEST vs. FORGE
Forge wins with DNA SAMPLE! (4)

It takes Quest three DNA SAMPLES in a row to put down Forge in an excellent match to start Elevation.

Murtak - It's time for the conqueror to take over FTR! When I become King for a Day...wait why just a day? What if I don't want to stop being King? I might wan-

Pardon - The possibilities of what we can do are only limited by our sick and twisted minds...

Moonlight - That means nothing is off the table! Let it burn!

Splash -I'm gonna start having neck problems walking around with all this hardware on! In fact, after I win the KFAD, y'all can start calling me 2 Crowns! Better yet, you can call me Mr. FTR - Forever The Realest - Your boy Splash!


MAD MAXUS vs. SPACE POWERS
Mad Maxus wins after Disciple of Terror goes on a rampage.

Disciple takes it to T.A right from the start. T.A gets in 2 moves the entire time in the ring and is decimated outside of it. The ref calls for the bell when Disciple ignores his warnings. DOT grabs a mic.
"I'm not here to be a part of these losers' redemption story. I'm becoming King, and trust me, it won't be for just a day!"


BLACK HOLE TITLE
WORKRATE vs. BLUR
Blur wins with a BLURRING LARIAT! (4)

Workrate was hoping to get a four star match out of Blur and he did! Unfortunately, he was on the losing end of an explosive match. Workrate kicks out of three straight BLURRING LARIATS before a final fourth keeps him down.


Promo
A different feel from the other promos in tone and color (black and white), The Man in the Hood stands behind Screwjob and does the talking while his monster stares off into the distance.
"Things will be made right when Screwjob wins the King for a Day, if only for one night! Everything FTR was meant to be shall come to pass, and once that happens, you can never go back!"


The Main Event
Stallion makes his way to the ring with The Stable followed by Astarte and The Rocket Men. The four members of The Stable stand across from the five Rocket Men each with daggers in their eyes.

Rocket - I'm glad you brought your goons with you, they're welcome to stay, I'm making this a Lumberjack match! In the interest of fairness, I found you a fourth lumberjack!

Out comes Murtak waving the Dreeze flag! Stallion is livid!


HYDRA LUMBERJACK MATCH
ASTARTE vs. STALLION
Astarte wins by disqualification (2.5)

The floodgates opened after Uranus saves Astarte from being pinned. Where Uranus gets away with it, Splash does not, and the ref calls for the bell. That's when all hell breaks loose!
Rocket Men and The Stable fight around ringside while Murtak hops in the ring to wave his flag.
King Tux sees enough, runs out and takes him down while Cephalopodis lumbers out behind him only to be chopped down by Disciple of Terror!
Old rivalries are renewed when Capt. Crossbones attacks DOT while Blur and Workrate fight through the curtain from the back.
Pardon and Moonlight join the fight and start clearing house when Vacant springs into action.
The lights in The Launching Pad start to strobe and out comes Screwjob who cuts down anyone in his path on his way to fight with Vacant!
Quest makes his way out and he and Pardon throw down with the FTR champ coming out on top.
Quest stands tall in the ring with his title when he goes down hard!
Forge gets the drop on him knocking him out cold with and his hammer and ends up the last one standing!

Axe loses to Witch in just two moves! She hits a Sultry Superplex out of the ring while wrapping her legs around the turnbuckle to save herself.

The women keep it going when Moonlight throws Murtak up and over the ropes for the elimination (2)

Crossbones falls to Astarte after GREATNESS DAWNS in a thrilling bout (3.5)

Quest shocks Faller by lifting the big Titan up and over the ropes (2)

Mayham goes down to T.A after AWESOME FINISHER (1)

King Tux can't get it going against Pardon and loses to the CENTAURUS CRUCIFIX (1.75)

Crust throws out Chameleon after three moves!

Workrate meets the same fate being tossed by Forge (2.5)

Blur ends the first round by clotheslining Stallion over the top rope and to the floor (2.5)



Blur keeps it going defeating Crust in five moves ending it with BLURRING LARIAT

Forge shows his strength gorilla pressing T.A up and out (2.75)

Pardon embarrasses the champion with one move, hitting an overhead suplex on Quest over the top rope and to the floor!

Sonny Rocket and Uranus have a good back and forth with Sonny hitting a dropkick that sends Uranus to the floor for the elimination (3)

Witch is no match for Screwjob who ends it with a Straight Jacket Suplex after five moves.

Not to be outdone, Disciple of Terror takes out Moonlight in two moves with DREADNAUGHT

*Astarte gets a bye and will start Round 3*



The bye does nothing for Astarte who is eliminated by Blur after three moves with a brainbuster

Sonny Rocket's night comes to an end after Disciple of Terror throws him out of the ring (1.5)

Forge goes up and over the ropes after Pardon hits FUTURE ENDEVOURS (2)

Screwjob wins a crazy fight against Disciple of Terror, ending it with TITAN SCREWJOB (3.5)

Screwjob sits on a throne atop the stage as The Man in the Hood stands in the background, mic in hand.

Man in the Hood- Who's ready for a little story? A story of greed, betrayal and nepotism. You see, not many people know this, but Sonny wasn't supposed to be the next Commissioner, I WAS. This business was my life, and I wanted to give back to the business that gave me so much. I was friends with Encubus, I could have used my connections from the start to put me in the position I desired but I decided to do the right thing. I had taken all the classes, I studied what former GWF Commissioners had done, I knew the rule book front to back and inside and out - I was the best man for the job and the FTR agreed. Encubus called me and told me himself, I was to be the next FTR Commissioner! Then out of nowhere here comes Johnny Rocket touting his idiot son as a triple threat - wrestler, manager, and interviewer. I didn't care or think much of it until he started calling him a Grand Slam talent. It wasn't enough for Johnny to not let go of his glory days and hold on too long, no he had to pass that on to Sonny. God forbid he just disappear and the worst part about it - FTR just let him do it and didn't even bother to tell me. I found out when you did. They wouldn't return my calls, no explanation, not even a gift basket.
Well tonight, you all will see the FTR in my image! FIVE hardcore deathmatch battles! THERE WILL BE BLOOD!!!!!



BARBWIRE BAT
VACANT vs. DISCIPLE OF TERROR

Disciple of Terror wins a bloody battle with DREADNAUGHT! (3.75)

Both combatants are extremely bloody after the match. Disciple grinds Vacant's head into hamburger meat before hitting DREADNAUGHT on top of the bat. Disciple stares down Screwjob as he heads to the back while medics load Vacant onto a stretcher.
*Vacant is injured 4 shows*


The Man in the Hood returns for the stipulations for the next match - a Number one contender's match for the FTR tag titles where the opponent must be bleeding before he can be pinned!


STREET SUICIDE NO 1 CONTENDER MATCH
MAD MAXUS vs. ASTARTE & URANUS

Astarte gets the pin after GREATNESS DAWNS! (3.75)

Astarte is able to bust open Axe outside the ring with a chain wrapped around his fist. He quickly throws his Rocket Men teammate in the ring and executes GREATNESS DAWNS while Uranus holds onto the leg of T.A slowing him enough to not make the save.


The Man in the Hood announces Astarte and Uranus will face the winners of the tag title match between Pardon & Moonlight and Blur & a partner of his choosing. While Blur finds a partner we will have a match between two men who should be wrestling in the FTR. "I've fought both these men and they deserve to be featured every week! In fact, the winner of the match will face Sonny Rocket at Dirty Deeds for a Contract Opportunity!"



SPIKE NAIL HELL
UMAGAPOTTAMUS vs. MORBID

Morbid wins with MORBIDLY CRUEL! (3.25)

Umagapottamus looks unstoppable early on until a rough landing on a bed of nails causes him to bleed out at an alarming rate. Morbid takes full advantage locking in MORBIDLY CRUEL until the AniMan passes out! Morbid will face Sonny Rocket at Dirty Deeds!



The tag champions are announced next, then their opponent Blur. The place goes bananas when Faller comes out to be Blur's partner! The Man in the Hood however was not so pleased.

Man in the Hood - We can't send one of Nexus's precious Titans back mangled. Unfortunately, the tag title match will have to be fought under traditional rules.



FTR TAG TITLES
PARDON & MOONLIGHT vs. BLUR & FALLER

Pardon takes out Faller with FUTURE ENDEVOURS! (2.75)

Pardon must not have heard/cared that this was made a traditional match, hitting a reverse superplex from the turnbuckle through the announcers table before finishing Faller off with FUTURE ENDEVOURS.



BOX IN HAND
The Hooded Man announces the Box in Hand match - Four competitors will fight in a ladder match to grab the Mystery Box that will only be revealed when cashed in! Qualifying matches begin next Elevation. He then turns his attention to the main event.

The Man in the Hood - For the Main Event I wanted the grandest spectacle of all and thanks to lawyer extraordinaire Justin Case , as of this afternoon this match is sanctioned on Maffei II. Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is for the FTR HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE!



EXPLODING 15,000 VOLT THUNDERBOLT OCTAGON CAGE BOMB DEATH MATCH
FTR CHAMPIONSHIP
QUEST vs. SCREWJOB

Screwjob wins with TITAN SCREWJOB! (3)

Quest fights valiantly in a match he was ill-equipped for in every way. He holds his own until taking a high voltage shock from the cage as well as an explosive to the body. He nearly gets the win after a DNA SAMPLE out of nowhere, but Screwjob manages to hit TITAN SCREWJOB into the electric cage for a second huge explosion!
When the smoke clears Screwjob stands in the middle of the ring, NEW FTR CHAMPION!
