Good (and quick) episode this week! I remember Hall in his AWA days and am glad he changed his appearance as he totally looked like a porn star from that era. A great reflection on one of the influential stars that made the wrestling boom occur...weird that it seems like whenever someone gets cleaned up- they always seem to pass shortly afterward or pass from something freaky.

I remember Hall from the AWA and then his stint in Memphis, so I was excited to see him coming into the NWA in 89. I remember the Muta match Cory referenced and thought “why is he being treated like a nobody?”

Watched that whole video featuring Hennig and Hall, and saw Leon White vs champ Stan Hansen. The AWA missed the boat on many guys that could have led their company and made it bigger than is it was. Hogan, being the biggest and most obvious but they had Superstar Graham in the 70s. Then Leon White and Scott Hall, too bad Verne was stuck in the ways.

I saw Scott Hall wrestle once live in June of 1986 at the UIC Pavilion in Chicago. It was Hennig and Hall versus Col DeBeers and Boris Zhukov. The main event that night was Bockwinkel and Hansen for the AWA title with full politics in effect. They got into the ring and proceeded to brawled straight out of it and to the dressing rooms with no winner declared. It was over in like two minutes. Knowing what we know now it all makes sense though. I was actually supposed to see Razor Ramon versus Hacksaw Duggan years later at the Assembly Hall in Champaign Illinois, which was one of the headline matches, but the match didn't take place and they made some excuse about Hacksaw missing his flight. However, that never really explained why there wasn't a replacement there for Razor to wrestle so I've always had my doubts and figure they just had them double booked.

I saw Razor Ramon at LHU against the Barbarian, who was replacing Diesel. In State College I saw Ramon against the 123 Kid. A year before that I saw Ramon team with the Kid against Men on a Mission.

I enjoyed this weekend's episode about Scott Hall.
I remember when Scott Hall first appeared as Razor Ramon that I did not immediately realize it was Scott Hall from the AWA.
I don't recall ever seeing Scott Hall wrestle live but I was in attendance at Wrestlemania 31 in 2015 in the Bay Area when Scott Hall did appear, along with Hulk Hogan and Kevin Nash, during the match between Sting and Triple H.
Also, at the CAC in 2015, I was sitting with Chad and Tom watching the Indy wrestling matches when we looked back and there was Scott Hall sitting a couple of rows behind us and to our left. It has been 7 years so I might be remembering wrong but I think Tom talked to Scott Hall later during the CAC about the game but Scott Hall said he was unable to do it.

I forgot about him showing up at the Indy Showcase at the CAC! Were you at the banquet the year Shawn Michaels got an award, and Hall, Nash and Waltman all accompanied him? They rushed them in and out pretty quick, but their table was in front of ours and we had our backs to them, so Troy took a "selfie" over his shoulder with them.

That was a different year at the CAC than when we saw Scott Hall sitting and watching the Indy matches near us but now that you mention it I do recall also seeing Scott Hall at the banquet and how Hall, Shawn Michaels, Kevin Nash, and Sean Waltman were sitting at a table next to us and Troy Peterson did take that photo pretending to take a photo with them and then post it on Facebook, that was hilarious!
