Card #11: Battle Ground
The Rubble
---We start things off as Preceptor comes down to the grittier side of Kronus to get some payback from Uranus. Preceptor has his way with Uranus and puts the youngest Overman down w/ VALEDICTORY.
---Swarm is awarded a DQ win over Fortune after the Hitman drops the King Bee onto a titanium chair with a Tombstone Piledriver twice. EMTs immobilize Swarm's neck as Fortune drops the bounty contract onto the prone form of Swarm.
---Nikolai takes a tainted win over Commander Sam w/ the CURB STOMP as a wild brawl breaks out around ringside between the Survivors and Stars & Stripes. Nikolai takes advantage of the distraction to low-blow Sam to set up the finish.
---Blazing Skull/Nightmare are DQ'd against WAR after Skull levels Holocaust w/ DEATH BY FIRE. Skull looks to be setting Raven up for DEATH BY FIRE when Solaris charges the ring and sends Skull crashing to the floor w/ POWER OF LIGHT.
---Solitude vs Avenging Force go toe-to-toe in a great match before Solitude hits consecutive GLADIATOR POWERBOMBS for the finish.
---Desolation Factor make it two losses on the night for the Overman as they put The Legionnaires away w/ RACKED & RUINED on Honus.
---Before our next match Desolation Factor and Infinity/Infinity-Plex pass each other on the ramp way. Rack & Ruin can't take their eyes off the K-1 tag belts as those looks don't go unnoticed by the champs.
The champs retain over Mayday/Rhea for their V1 defense as they put Rhea down w/ the REGULUS REGULATOR. The Infinities seems to be having a grand old time as a tag team.
---In the main event inside a Steel Cage, Screwjob goes over True Blue after sending his opponent crashing through a table at ringside w/ TITAN SCREWJOB from the top of the cage. True Blue is laying in a broken heap as the referee calls the match off and awards the victory to Screwjob.
As Screwjob is being held back by Payback as the EMTs put True Blue on a holo-stretcher and float him out, the portal comes to life and when it stops Vacant is perched on the top of the cage. Payback & Screwjob turn around just in time to get crushed w/ a Savage Spear from the top to end the show.

Card #12: Battle Ground
The Rubble
....True Blue is out for an undetermined amount of time due to injuries suffered at the hands of Screwjob....Johnny Rocket has temporarily replaced True Blue with Vacant in The Rocketmen....Commander Sam feels that Infinity has gotten to close to Infinity-Plex and has sent Stars & Stripes to take the K-1 tag titles in the Main Event....
---K-1 Champion, Chaos Supreme opens the show with another open challenge that gets answered by Commander Sam himself. Sam puts up a great fight but is left staring up at the lights after Chaos hits him w/ Galaxy Crusher. Sam survives four BOWS OF DEFEAT during the match.
---Preceptor fought off Cupid who was looking to avenge his brother's loss on the last card. A Running Power Bomb puts the son of Janus down for the count.
---The Rocket Men over the Hardcore Titans after Payback gets distracted by Johnny Rocket and Twin Telepathy put him down w/ TELEPATHIC EDGE. Vacant went toe-to-toe with both Payback and Screwjob during the match. Look for singles matches between these three in the future.
---A vicious Bobby Lee takes it to the vampiric Tauran, winning w/ REMOVE THE HEAD. The Thrillers hit the ring and continue the beatdown on Tauran before the portal comes to life. Out steps Coven Black, Count Necros, and Sinful, sending the Thrillers to the back.
---Keeping a watchful eye over his shoulder, Solaris gets the win over Nightmare, winning w/ POWER OF LIGHT. Blazing Skull makes an appearance but just cackles at Solaris, taunting his foe.
---Battle Ground Elimination Match: Gladiator Hunters over The Gladiators as Ultimatum is the lone survivor.
Swarm over Category Five w/ VENOMOUS STINGER.
Ultimatum over Torment w/ Face Remover.
Solitude over Raven w/ the GLADIATOR POWERBOMB.
Spike over Holocaust w/ MEGA DESTROYER.
Ultimatum over Spike w/ STAY & PERISH.
Solitude over Swarm w/ GLADIATOR POWERBOMB.
Ultimatum over Solitude w/ LEAVE & LIVE.
Ultimatum was an absolute wrecking ball in this match.
---Avenging Force gets the win over Fortune, winning w/ a Cosmic War Dance in a great match. Afterwards, Man of Power comes down to the ring and confronts Avenging Force about the Alpha Force but this also brings Chaos Supreme to the ring. Chaos just stares at Man of Power before the two launch into each other with huge forearm strikes reminiscent of the beginning of Don Frye vs Yoshihiro Takayama from Pride 21. Not to be out done, Avenging Force jumped into the fray as all three men rocked each other w/ forearm blows before they could be separated and teleported out of the arena.
---The crowd gives Mayday a huge pop as he steps out from the portal to take on Mensar. Mayday dominates Mensar in a quick match, winning w/ CRACK OF DOOM to the delight of the crowd.
---K-1 Tag-Team Championship: The Infinities (c) retain over Stars & Stripes after they hit REGULUS REGULATOR on American Made for the finish. Afterwards, Commander Sam confronted Infinity, telling him he's gotten to close to Infinity-Plex and Sam will do something about that.

Card #13: Champions' Oath
COTG Coliseum
....Morpheus strides to the ring to a capacity crowd shocked to see him....Morpheus demands that members of the 'Old Guard' face off in a Round Robin Tournament of the Immortals with the winner getting a title shot....One by one, Mentor, Omega, & Solaris appear and nod their agreement....
---Morpehus challenges Omega right out of the gate. The two go back and forth before Omega hits the TOMAHAWK THRUST to put Morpheus down.
---Morpheus stays in the ring as Solaris steps out of the local transporter for our next match. Good match as Morpheus racks up the fatigue tokens w/ TRIP TO HADES. The finish comes as Morpheus drops Solaris w/ a Skull Smasher to even his record at 1-1.
Omega 1-0; Morpheus 1-1; Solaris 0-1; Mentor 0-0
---Omega & Mentor square off for the first time in a great match. Mentor catches Omega w/ the MENTOR ANKLE LOCK for the finish.
---Mentor stays in the ring to face his long ago teacher, Solaris. Solaris has his way with Mentor until the action goes to the floor where Preceptor smashes Solaris' ankle against the titanium security railing as Mentor distracts the referee. Back in the ring, Solaris escapes from the MENTOR ANKLE LOCK only for Mentor to drag Solaris to the middle of the ring and lock the hold in again for the finish. Heavy boos rain down from the crowd as CoK retreat to the back.
Mentor 2-0; Omega 1-1; Morpheus 1-1; Solaris 0-2
---Omega & Solaris shake hands before their match as the crowd is on the edge of their seats for this match. The two heroes put on a great match but Solaris' injured ankle doesn't hold up and Omega hits TOMAHAWK THRUST to get the win.
After the match as Omega was helping Solaris to the transporter, Blazing Skull appeared out of nowhere and leveled both heroes with HUMAN COMBUSTION before disappearing back into the transporter, cackling as he went.
---Mentor vs Morpheus!! If Mentor wins, he sweeps the bracket. If Morpheus wins, we have a 3-way tie at 2-1 that also includes Omega. Here we go. The crowd is solidly behind Morpheus after the shenanigans that happened during Mentor's match with Solaris and everyone is barred from ringside. Morpheus hits a quick TRIP TO HADES and Mentor rolls snake eyes giving Morpheus the win as the crowd blows the roof off the COTG Coliseum.
And we go to overtime.
---Mentor is back in there ring to face Omega (+1 fatigue), who is worse for wear from the earlier attack by Blazing Skull. Omega fires up during the match and puts Mentor down w/ the TOMAHAWK THRUST.
---Morpheus appears in the ring and jumps Omega from behind for our next match and beats his former partner down before hitting TRIP TO HADES to end the match.
Morpheus 3-1; Omega 3-2; Mentor 2-2; Solaris 0-3
---Mentor vs Morpheus II!!! If Morpheus wins, he wins the tournament. If Mentor wins, we go to double overtime. Here we go again!! Morpheus is fired up but Mentor survives long enough to lock in the MENTOR ANKLE LOCK to get the submission win.
Morpheus 3-2; Omega 3-2; Mentor 3-2; Solaris 0-3
---And we go to double OT!! Morpheus & Mentor stay in the ring to face each other for the 3rd time tonight and again Mentor survives multiple TRIPS TO HADES to finish Morpheus off w/ the MENTOR ANKLE LOCK for the 2nd match in a row.
---Mentor calls for Omega and out comes the Cetus native, still hurting from the earlier attack. Once again, Omega hits the ring fired up and puts Mentor down w/ the TOMAHAWK THRUST for the finish.
---Same scenario as Morpheus need to win to extend the tournament while an Omega win will give the Founding Father the tournament. Omega was waiting this time as Morpheus tried to sneak attack him again. Omega tears into Morpheus and gets the win w/ an Omega Victory Roll to the roar of the crowd. Omega wins the grueling tournament and will meet Chaos Supreme for his title shot.
Omega and Morpheus go to shake hands but Chaos Supreme jumps Omega from behind with a belt shot before getting thrown around like a rag doll in the BOW OF DEFEAT as Morpheus cheers the champion on to end the show.
Final Standings: OMEGA 5-2; Mentor 4-3; Morpheus 3-4; Solaris 0-3 |
