2 days til I land in Chicago and the Mets beat the Cubs 3 days til I eat some Peqouds, we see some rasslin and the Mets beat the Cubs 4 days til the con kicks off and the Mets beat the Cubs 5 days til a new GalactiCon Cup champion is crowned and the Mets beat the Cubs breaking news! I’m repeating. There will NOT I repeat, there will NOT be a new champion. Everything is paid for. I’ll probably hit the road about 10 tomorrow. Promised wifey I’d spent Friday with her but hoping to make the midnight release. Is there a bar at the hotel? If so I’m down to cosplay the horsemen after. |

I am thinking Galacticon in Chicago will have a bigger attendance than usual and I am not sure the room will hold everyone. But maybe I misjudged the size of the room when I saw it as I am a little tired friom my red eye flight (although I did get some sleep on the plane.) |

Michigan Room is small, one of the smallest rooms we have had Galacticon This doesn't sound good.... |

you had me at "hotel bar is good" The bar is about twice the size as the Michigan Room. Is it open early? Or just at night? If it's open during the Con itself, I'm sure we can take up a little room there also as long as we're buying drinks. |

The bar was open for breakfast but they won’t let you sit at the bar that early (not sure how early they start allowing bar seating, I was there today at 8:30 which is earlier than Galacticon starts on Saturday.). But they do also have big tables. They let me buy just a beverage and then spread out at one table with my laptop to do my daily fed results this morning. |

Worst case scenario, losers leave the Michigan Room for tournaments?
I am sure we'll figure something out. I like the sound of spacious bar. I arrive at about 8:30 p.m. tonight, so tminus 8.5 hours until my arrival!
