I'm in the hotel bar now. It is nice and should provide a nice alternate hangout spot.
Just did a tour of the Michigan room and talked to the banquet guys about setup. Its should be perfectly fine for the group size, unless we have a crazy walkup. Based on the tickets sold and the people I know coming it wont be that much different than the last few years in terms of group size.

Cool to hear, Zeke. Nice thing about a small room is that it makes it much harder to lose people for tournaments. I am thinking Galacticon in Chicago will have a bigger attendance than usual and I am not sure the room will hold everyone. But maybe I misjudged the size of the room when I saw it as I am a little tired friom my red eye flight (although I did get some sleep on the plane.) Did you notice if there was a retractable wall? While the fact the meeting space is named it makes me think it is a set size, some larger meeting rooms are subdivided by a retractable wall. Hopefully that is the case and you guys have more space for actual Con. |

Chad, I only hope that it isn’t as disappointing as the new Silversun Pickups single. It was kinda like seeing Rocky V or The Godfather Part III in theaters. From the first chord of the song I knew it was going to be rough, and it was. The optimist in me is hoping that it gets better than the first single, but the realist in me realizes that it could be the best the album has to offer. |
